@tootzkie, Thanks for the information re ACS. Anung letter advice daw ito? how do you call the document so that I can confirm with ACS. I called ACS this morning about qualifications/groupings/bachelor's degree, they said that they don't provide a separate letter aside from the Assessment Result Letter. I also asked if they issue "Points Advice" (thinking na yun yung letter that your friend mentioned) na katulad ng TRA at VETASSESS, and sabi nila ay hindi daw. Instead they directed me to DIAC.
Anyway, the school where I completed my Master's Degree belongs to Section 2. Though I still believe that school sectioning is not a major factor in determining the eligibility of the application.

@jaero yup sa online jobs ako nag-apply.
@onesilvertwo Mabilis ngayon ang processing. Sana in 3 months or in the first quarter of next year CO allocated ka na.
ABout ACS, i think the people who answered your call must have no idea of what PIM3 is all about, or might not have clearly grasped your query.
The document is called RECOGNITION LETTER:
Combined Skills Assessment / Recognition Letter
- This is for applicants that hold 2 or more ICT educational qualifications and would like all their ICT educational qualifications reported and recognised.
- The applicant will receive a skills assessment result letter and an additional recognition letter reporting the ICT Educational Qualifications and ICT Skilled Employment experience suitability to the nominated occupation ANZSCO code for Points Test and skilled migration purposes.
----------------
AS per the reply of the email, they only award 10 pts for Recognition letter (equivalent to Educational Qualification)
About having your Master's Degree, it's very obvious naman that you will get 15 pts. Kahit nga MBA grad ka, credited yun kasi it has relevance on ICT. Well I still believe that school sectioning (CEP AEI-NOOSR ) provides the official information and advice on the comparability of overseas qualifications with Australian qualifications. It is created for a purpose not just a dummy.
Share ko sa inyo ang assessment ng friend ko:
Degree: BS Math (UP Diliman), MBA (PUP)
UP is section 1, PUP is section 2
ACS skills assessment: ICT Business Analyst - GROUP B
(Notice that although UP is section 1, but BS Math is just a minor of ICT course)
Recently, he was granted visa 176 - SA sponsored with having 15 pts for educational qualification and has a total of 65 pts.
Based on the above scenario, if UP Diliman is section 1 then why his skills assessment is not equivalent to AUSTRALIAN QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORK? It's bcoz, ACS has its own separate criteria of assessment. For ACS his educational qualification is 10 pts., but for DIAC, he was granted 15 pts, bcoz of his MBA degree OR UP Diliman is section 1.

Atleast by discussing the topic, we get to come up with some information that may be useful for other applicants. I myself is not familiar with this document - "Recognition Letter", I didn't realise it during my ACS application that they issue this document, probably I was too focused on the "Skills Assessment Result Letter" since this document was reiterated in the DIAC website which is the main requirement for any employment and qualification claims.
Re CEP AEI-NOOSR, I will read more about this. What I believe lang naman ay once the assessing authority have issued an opinion, they have already used the criteria in determining the school whether it is comparable to AQF as stated on their manuals/application guides. However, the response to your friend who belongs to group A has raised concerns and questions on how assessing authority really follows the criteria.
Re the ACS query over the phone, yes, I think the representative wasn't able to fully understand the concern.
Anyway, I guess this thread will be updated with queries from time to time since qualifications is one of the main eligibility criteria for migration. Thanks for your inputs!

Magtatanong po sana ako if may nakakaalam or may kakilala whether AQF Bachelor's degree ang assessment ng ACS sa BS Comp. Sci. from PLM?
So far sa research ko, ang degrees lang na assessed as AQF Bachelor's from PLM ay Eng'g courses only
I'm doing my best to research this first kasi malaking bagay yung 20K for me if masasayang.
Maraming salamat po!
PS:
Paano po mag create ng new thread? Hindi ko makita ang option. Mag oopen sana ako ng thread for applicants na may qualifications from PLM.
