    Hi! sohc, Healthcare cost is at the expense of the visa applicant pala eto, Pati social security hindi ka covered except that job assistance to find employment after arrival lang ang pwede ng Oz ibigay. We will just think it over muna.

    Antay antay ka na lang ng medical result one of this days kita mo na lang met na yan.

    Update ko lang to, my wife had a skills assessment. Her grade just lack .01 to have a cum laude in PLM. PLM is under section 2, seeing her assessment it looks like hindi bachelors degree ang binigay. I also applied for VETASSESS pts advice they have given me AQV Advanced Diploma. I graduated in Letran College Manila with good grades. In short, to claim for bach. degree you need to have your school under Section 1. Hope this helps other people.
    Your case indeed englightened me on the issue of educational qualification. Prior to this, my friend emailed ACS (Australian Computer Society) if he could claim 15 pts since he is suitable for migration under GROUP A, (equivalent to Australian Qualification Framework) whilst his school falls on section 2. ACS replied that what they could surely grant is 10 pts only for those seeking for educational qualification points and it will be in the separate letter report. 15 pts for Educational Qualification is SOLELY AT THE DISCRETION OF DIAC.

    For those who are in section 2 that claims for 15 pts. Kaya mo bang isugal ang 2,930 dollars ? if yes, then GO. Those who have lodged already please keep us posted. But make sure na eksaktong 65 pts kayo ha? baka naman 70 pts kayo kaya naglodge kayo ng 175 kahit nasa section 2 school kayo.

    Kapag nakalusot kayo, then spread the news para matulungan nyo ang ibang applicants na tulad ng friend ko na talagang desperado na. Thanks.

    @tootzkie, Thanks for the information re ACS. Anung letter advice daw ito? how do you call the document so that I can confirm with ACS. I called ACS this morning about qualifications/groupings/bachelor's degree, they said that they don't provide a separate letter aside from the Assessment Result Letter. I also asked if they issue "Points Advice" (thinking na yun yung letter that your friend mentioned) na katulad ng TRA at VETASSESS, and sabi nila ay hindi daw. Instead they directed me to DIAC.

    Anyway, the school where I completed my Master's Degree belongs to Section 2. Though I still believe that school sectioning is not a major factor in determining the eligibility of the application.

    @heyitsme_mag Nasa website ng DIAC ang info about visa 475 and pathways to permanent residency. Then about unique cases of people in self-employment and accumulated non-consecutive work experiences, odd jobs, part time jobs to permanent residency - you can find it at britishexpats.com.

    @jaero yup sa online jobs ako nag-apply.

    @onesilvertwo Mabilis ngayon ang processing. Sana in 3 months or in the first quarter of next year CO allocated ka na.

    ABout ACS, i think the people who answered your call must have no idea of what PIM3 is all about, or might not have clearly grasped your query.

    The document is called RECOGNITION LETTER:

    Combined Skills Assessment / Recognition Letter

    - This is for applicants that hold 2 or more ICT educational qualifications and would like all their ICT educational qualifications reported and recognised.

    - The applicant will receive a skills assessment result letter and an additional recognition letter reporting the ICT Educational Qualifications and ICT Skilled Employment experience suitability to the nominated occupation ANZSCO code for Points Test and skilled migration purposes.
    ----------------
    AS per the reply of the email, they only award 10 pts for Recognition letter (equivalent to Educational Qualification)

    About having your Master's Degree, it's very obvious naman that you will get 15 pts. Kahit nga MBA grad ka, credited yun kasi it has relevance on ICT. Well I still believe that school sectioning (CEP AEI-NOOSR ) provides the official information and advice on the comparability of overseas qualifications with Australian qualifications. It is created for a purpose not just a dummy.

    Share ko sa inyo ang assessment ng friend ko:

    Degree: BS Math (UP Diliman), MBA (PUP)
    UP is section 1, PUP is section 2
    ACS skills assessment: ICT Business Analyst - GROUP B
    (Notice that although UP is section 1, but BS Math is just a minor of ICT course)

    Recently, he was granted visa 176 - SA sponsored with having 15 pts for educational qualification and has a total of 65 pts.

    Based on the above scenario, if UP Diliman is section 1 then why his skills assessment is not equivalent to AUSTRALIAN QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORK? It's bcoz, ACS has its own separate criteria of assessment. For ACS his educational qualification is 10 pts., but for DIAC, he was granted 15 pts, bcoz of his MBA degree OR UP Diliman is section 1.

    ^Mahigpit talaga sa ACS, kasi dito i-dedetermine ng case officer kung elegible ka sa SOL. Kailangan meron kang sufficient (& evidential) proof to prove na qualified ka sa profession mu. They don't rely much on your educational background but by your work experience plus international certifications (kung meron).

    @tootzkie, oo nga mabilis na ang processing. Nawa positive ang response.

    Atleast by discussing the topic, we get to come up with some information that may be useful for other applicants. I myself is not familiar with this document - "Recognition Letter", I didn't realise it during my ACS application that they issue this document, probably I was too focused on the "Skills Assessment Result Letter" since this document was reiterated in the DIAC website which is the main requirement for any employment and qualification claims.

    Re CEP AEI-NOOSR, I will read more about this. What I believe lang naman ay once the assessing authority have issued an opinion, they have already used the criteria in determining the school whether it is comparable to AQF as stated on their manuals/application guides. However, the response to your friend who belongs to group A has raised concerns and questions on how assessing authority really follows the criteria.

    Re the ACS query over the phone, yes, I think the representative wasn't able to fully understand the concern.

    Anyway, I guess this thread will be updated with queries from time to time since qualifications is one of the main eligibility criteria for migration. Thanks for your inputs! :)

    Hi @sohc,
    Once your visa has been granted, please share us your DIAC assessment result. Before the end of November, I am sure you'll get it. Good luck!

    Hi @tootzkie,
    Thanks for sharing your friend's DIAC assessment result.
    @Davidx23
    yup Letranista ako pero malaki galit ko sa school natin batch 2004. nagturo din ako dyan ng I.T. Yup ako din yung sa tipidpc na sohc hehe.

    @tootzkie
    yup tama ka mahirap sumugal ng $2930 AUD. Nga pala pre maraming salamat sayo, sayo ko nakita ang post na kapag kulang ka sa 176 go for 475. Hindi ko alam ang 475 dati buti na lang nabasa ko ang post mo. Nagapply ako agad ng 475 kasi ngexpire 176 ko sa South Australia. Sobrang swerte kasi when I got my state sponsorship ngclose na position ko in 3 days. Kung hindi ko nabasa yun naipit na ko sa IELTS na yan. Sa post mo na yun my dream is almost a week away.

    @all share ko lang ang points ko based on my own assessment:

    Age 27 = 30pts
    7 Years Exp = 10pts
    State Sponsorship = 10pts
    Qualifications = 10pts
    Partner Skills = 5pts
    Total = 65pts

    Hindi ko sinugal ang bachelors degree, kahit na worth P33,000 skills assessment + P8,640 (IELTS) ang magastos ko sa partners skills ok lang. Ang galing ni misis!

    Hello Everyone,

    Magtatanong po sana ako if may nakakaalam or may kakilala whether AQF Bachelor's degree ang assessment ng ACS sa BS Comp. Sci. from PLM?

    So far sa research ko, ang degrees lang na assessed as AQF Bachelor's from PLM ay Eng'g courses only

    I'm doing my best to research this first kasi malaking bagay yung 20K for me if masasayang.

    Maraming salamat po!

    PS:
    Paano po mag create ng new thread? Hindi ko makita ang option. Mag oopen sana ako ng thread for applicants na may qualifications from PLM.
