@kabre quantas and Emirates are ard 500-600 per pax comfortable ka pa. Cebu and Jetstar are most likely with the same premium kasi add MO pa food and baggage.

Hi po, about drivers license what if kung Au nlng kami apply ng license, mas mahirap ba process at Mahal bayaran? No experience at all. Thanks for reply.
Mas magastos po siya kasi, you will start from scratch the Learners "L" driver license.
Compared to having a Phil License where in you will just to take theory test and practical exam, after passing these you can have the AU drivers license (Novice Drivers License).
Also remember, for PR you can only use your Phil. license for 3 months from the date of arrival.

If dito ka kukuha ng license, these are the steps;
1. Get a learners permit
- fill up forms, theory test, eyesight test, medical test
2. Learn to drive (after passing the test in step 1, you will be given a Learner Guide and Log Book)
- having a "L" permit can only drive with Supervision of a Full driver license holder
- must complete a 50 supervised driving hours
- 25 hours (minimum) before practical driving assesment
- another 25 hours (minimum) at least six months after the Practical Driving Assesment
- Note hours must be logged in the Log Book and the cost of Supervised Driving is at least AUD 55/hour or higher!
3. Pass the Practical Driving Assessment
4. Gain experience as mention in Step 2, minimum of 25 supervised hours
5. Complete the Hazard Perception Test (must meet the requirement, like Log Book has been completed and signed)
6. Get a Provisional License P (can drive on your own with restriction, after 2 years you can upgrade your license)

Each step involve FEEs and is not that cheap!

@kabre, tama ka. Meron special allotment ng baggage and discount ang 1st time immigrants for Quantas and other airlines as stated below:

International Organization for Migration (IOM)
IOM has negotiated fares with many Airlines including Qantas for migrants travelling to Australia.
These airfare including a larger luggage allowance. In practice these fares are usually more
expensive than sale fares to Australia.
To enquire about these fares contact the airline and request information for fares under IOM.

@KillerQT kung mag-start kayo sa L, abutin ng 6 months and between 1-3K dollars siguro kung wala kayo kakilala na magtuturo. Kasi sa L you need to complete 75 hours of supervised driving (dito sa SA), kung $50 per hour, malaking halaga rin magugugol mo.

@zapped other than the driving instructor, yung qualified po na driving companion ay kailangan has been an au license holder for more than 2 years po. Pwede po siya pumirma sa driving log book mo sa pagkumpleto ng 75 hours.

I see... Puwede din ako kumuha dito ng SG license from scratch pero diba need ng 5 years (not sure kung tama) para irecognize ng Au? ang cost nasa 2-3K din and may take 6months din.

Please help and advise kung ano ang dapat kong gawin. nalilito na ako kung sa SG or OZ ako kukuha ng driver's license from scratch

@KillerQT SG license po ay recognized dito. Pwede niyo ipalit to Au license agad-agad, no exam, no questions asked.

Cost nalang ang pagpipilian nyo kasi SG or AU license pareho lang po ng proseso halos kung from scratch kayo magsimula.

@KillerQT what do you mean po? If from scratch, basta 18yrs old pataas. Kung pinas non-pro to SG license, dapat hawak mo na ito before your first entry sa SG. Kung pinas non-pro to Au license naman, basta hindi expired and after passing theory and practical po.

Sorry kung na-confuse kita

not about the age. Ibig kong sabihin is kung may requirement ba na certain number of years ko na dapat hawak yung SG license ko para irecognize ng OZ... let say for example kung may requirement ba na 5yrs ko na dapat hawak yung driver's license ko. Parang may nabasa kasi akong ganun somewhere...

@tartakobsky HI, you mean from PHil License to AU License - upon first entry apply na to convert the license tapos we still need to take written and actual exam? mga how much po ang gagastusin sa pag convert?

@kittykitkat18 parang hindi, kasi tanda ko hihingi ng copy ung police ng letter mo na galing sa CO na nag papa request ng clearance. Correct me if I'm wrong na lang, pero parang yan tanda kong ginawa ko.

@kittykitkat18 nope. you need a letter of acknowledgement from the DIBP for the Singapore Police Force to process your request for a Police Clearance. Last na usually ginagawa ito. kasama ng NBI at Health Examination mo.
