Please advice in continuing plan to migrate

Hello to all pinoyau members,

I would like to seek for your advice on my plan to migrate in Australia, I'm turning 41 years old this month and have 2 kids(5 & 9 yrs old) and working as Software/Web developer, my question is that does it matter to the employer the age of the applicant and is it hard for me to find job at my age there in Australia?

Hi Jon, asses mo po kung pasok ka sa 60 points. Even if you are 41yrs of age, as long as ma cocompensate naman or makakakuha ka ng mataas na points sa ibang criteria pasok ka. as for jobs i think swertehan lang rin

as far as i know, employers can not discriminate against an applicant's age, race, or gender. Your main worry should be getting the visa in the first place. Magiging issue mo at your age is the points that you can claim upon submission of EOI or expression of interest. Dahil over 40 ka na mas maliit points mo. You can still make up for it, ask your wife to take IELTS, claim points kung makapasa sya. If she has valid credentials and work experience, and her industry is in the SOL list, you can also have it assessed and possible din magclaim ng points.
