Hi guys! I've been following this thread for a couple of weeks now. I'm scheduled for my PTE-A exam on Monday, Nov 23 and I just took the Online Mock Exam this evening (or more like wee hours of the morning to ensure good internet speed). Anyway, I'm kind of freaking out because my speaking result was disappointing (56 points) with my score in pronunciation at 34 and oral fluency at 61. I'm hoping that it's just because of the quality of the microphone (I'm using a laptop with no external microphone.) My reading score is also below my target of 79 - I got 74 points. All my other enabling skills are at 90 points. My listening score is at 80 and my writing score is at 90. Could it be that my reading score was affected by my speaking score as well? I consider myself to be a good speaker, even scoring an 8.0 in IELTS. I'm taking PTE-A in the hopes of improving my English score to 20 pts, because I just can't get an 8.0 in IELTS writing for some reason. Some words of advice would certainly help me regain my confidence for Monday's exam. Thanks a bunch, guys!

@misscpa use a template. Ensure 30-40mm distance ng mic infront ng bibig.. Can't give much reading tips, weakness ko yan hehe.. Good luck on your exam! 🙂>-

Hi guys! Pano po sagutin ang answer short question? Kung isang word lang ang sagot yun lang sasabihin mo or need to compose a sentence for that? For ex sagot ay microscope, sasabhin mo ba na the answer is microscope? Thanks!

@Zaire ang taas ng score na kailangan mo. Ako kailangan ko ng 7 sa lahat ng bands, laging may isang 6.5, buti nakakukha ka na ng invitation sa NSW, ako matagal na ako nakaapply for state nomination, hanggang ngayon wala pa din akong natatanggap na invitation.

sino po nakakaalam dito kung paano magpa rescore sa PTE? Doubt talaga ako sa pronunciation score ko. Lahat ng enabling skills ko above 65 then pagdating sa pronunciation 38 lang

hello po! magbbook sna ako ng PTE exam on Dec 3..may alam ba kayo na valid promo code na pwede gamitin 🙂

nabasa ko rin pala ung refer a friend promo nila (http://pearsonpte.com/refer-friend-promotion/) sayang din ung $50 na pwede gamitin pang shopping sa amazon 🙂

@kholoudmanlucu I have not heard of anyone na nagparemark sa PTE, but you can try to give them a call and ask for further instructions. Usually, they will ask about anything that may disrupt/disturb you during the exam, did you have any? Good luck sa remarking 🙂>-

@se29m tinest k onaman yung mic ko 3x, di kasi ako naniniwala na ganun kabad ako magpronounce

@se29m sabi pag nagparescore ako may bayad and computer pa rin mag checheck.

Do you think may kinalaman sa mic na gamit ko?

@kholoudmanlucu i think pronunciation relates sa articulation of words.. mukhang okay naman enabling skills mo..

@kholoudmanlucu most probably, pero if mic, it should affect your oral fluency as well.. try mo pa din pa rescore.. 🙂>-

@se29m so baka may problema talaga ako sa pag pronounce, mabilis kasi ako magsalita kasi naman maiksi yung oras so tendency magmadali, cguro yun ang dahilan

@kholoudmanlucu natty mo ba mag mock? it will help a lot sa pagdetermine ng technicalities or issues sa exam mo..

@se29m hindi na ako nag mock exam, nireveiew ko lang yung mcmillan and yung Kenny N. dalawang book, buti ka pa isang try lang nakuha mo na desired score mo. Naka 4x na din ako sa IELTS

@kholoudmanlucu don't lose hope.. if pronunciation ang problema, try mo in a different way of pronouncing the words.. or kung sa pacing pagsasalita ay media mobiles ka, i moderate mo lang.. kaya yan.. good luck 🙂>-
