Hi @JayVil, ok lang din naman kahit revit architecture kunin mong training para lang magkaron ka rin ng idea sa BIM. Pero sabi nga nila, mas magiging beneficial sayo kung diretso Revit Struc lalong lalo na kung ang target mong papasukan ay mga civil & construction firms. Kapag vertical projects, madalas gamit namin ay Revit Structures at Tekla. Kapag horizontal naman ay Bentley Struc/ Aecosim. Lately ko lang din natutunan ang aecosim, madali lang din matutunan lalo na kapag marunong ka sa microstation.

Pinakaimportante, practice, practice, practice. Ako naka-3 times ata nagtraining ng revit structure sa Singapore, pero after training wala na. Natutunan ko lang talaga sya gamitin nung na-apply ko na sa work sa isang project namin. Tamad din kasi ako magpractice sa bahay or kahit na sa workplace after office hour.

tingin ko sa mga autodesk certified na mga training center meron yan.

i think for now wag ka muna kumuha ilagay mo lang sa CV mo sa technical skills navisworks pero wag ka kumuha kasi app

sorry putol reply ko wag ka kumuha muna kasi hindi kapa sure kung covered nang job scope mo ang clash detection

usually trabaho nang BIM manager yan kung designation mo 3D drafter or modeller no need kasi sa mga execution plans nyo hindi yun part nang role at saka counter check mo din deliverables mo kung andun ka

masasayang kasi hindi mo mapapractice end up makakalimutan mo : )

Mayrun kayong AutoCAD Plugins or Aps na puede I cleanup, change colour, layer at iba pa para sa Architectural plans para I attached yun drawing sa Revit?? Usually kasi sa Architectural firm save as nila as AutoCAD yung design nila kahit gawa sa Revit. Then forward the file. Para mapabilis to attached the file to gray colour. kailangan I cleanup muna un-necessary drawing at purge it. Kung mayrun kayo this is very helpful sa mga designer at drafter ng Structural at building services para mapabilis. If you have any idea kung saan makakabili and how much.

Ngapala advice ko: LinkedIn is very powerful sa mga head hunter agent. Try nyo add lahat ng mga agent na kung saan kayo state na maghahanap ng work. Try nyo add at follow all group sa profession nyo in Australia na tingin nyo makakatulong sa inyo to improved your skills. In every state may mga group ng Revit every month may mga meetings. Try nyo umatend o sumali sa mga group na yun. Here in Australia It is not guarantee but the more you have network the more you have chance to find job and knowledge as well. have a great day!. cheers

Kung may standards yung autocad sa isang company why not gumawa nalang ng project template customise yung object style line weights line styles kagaya ng cad standards nung consultant that way kapag nagconvert or export to 2d dwgs naka ready na layer na nang naayon sa consultant : )

May take some time pero once done napaka convenient nito kasi pwede mo icarry over pag may panibangong consulant na dumating babaguhin nalang yung dapat baguhin

.dwf formats will work as well kung comments lang saka file size naman ang issue or IFC formats lightweight ang file size nito

Every client ay may sariling standard I mean every architectural firm at para hindi tumagal sa oras ang papalitan lang dun ay colour, yung lineweight at I freeze yung unnecessary drawing. Kung may aps na hindi kailangan I open pa sa AutoCAD mas okay at mabilis. Anytime kasi ina update ang architectural plans. Gawa na lang pala ako ng Lisp. Tingan ko rin sa link na binigay mo.

BIM for PM is different from BIM QS

I suggest REVIT arch - intermediate to advance courses will grant you technical knowledge on how to manage your QS related queries pagdating sa BIM

you also have to be familiar on how to model kasi para malaman mo yung mga redundant or overlapping na mga walls or any other elements na nasa model that you do not normally see in a 2D drawing to make all your calculations atleast close to 90% complete

fine tuning nalang kelangan.

plus incorporating your QS workflow sa BIM process.

BIM for PM is either 6months or 3-days BIM management course ok lang ito itake pero not necessary sayang sa pera.

maganda din na kuhain nyo yung bundled sessions para pag may certs kayo mas may edge at mas maganda sa CV

Hi Hindi naman hinahanap ang certificate pero ilalagay mo yun sa CV mo as training at Lalo na ilalagay mo sa LinkedIn. Kaya importante ang linkedin dito sa Australia because they will look your connection at ma verify din kung tama na nagwork sa company na yun.

Kung sa professional exam kung may time ka maipasa mo maganda kasi yan yun requirements to recognised as engineer or Architect Lalo na kung marami kana work experience as designer or engineer and kung malakas ang loob mo na maipakita na your an engineer.

Pero kasi dito you start from zero. Kung nakapag lodge kana ng Visa puede kahit na lang pero sundin mo pa rin ang puso mo na to be complete sa sarili kailangan mo mag take ng professional exam.

Dito kasi you can called as engineer kahit hindi ka grad sa as engineer pero kung ang work mo as engineer pued eka tawagin. Puede ka rin maging designer kahit iba naman natapos mo sa work mo. Still depend on your expertise and experience sa work

Kung anu man ang work experience mo kung sa Building kailangan marunong ka sa Revit for example your work as Architectural designer tatanungin naman sayo kung anung programs ang ginagamit mo kung revit tatanungin naman sayo kung ilang years ka nag rerevit. Still depend pa rin kung anu experience of year sa Architectural Designing, Basta marunong ka mag revit okay yun mag self training ka na lnag sa bahay ninyo to improve using youtube videos tutorial at yung shortcut keys and programs.

Mag sisimula ka naman sa Drafter ten later on designing na. I search mo sa google yung Australian Standard dun kailangan mo magbasa para malaman mo yung local standard para sa design.

Okay yung dating mo kasi ang daming hiring ngayun at end of financial year. I mean sa mga may work experience dito theres a big chance na mag ka job offer. But for new migrant may kahirapan syempre dahil they will start to zero dipende pa rin how will you show to them na magaling ka. Pero good things din kasi okay ang economy ngayun compare yung mga nakaraan years. Actually nga after 7 years ngayun ako naka receive na sunod sunod na job offer. Kaya pagiisipan ko pa mabuti this week kung anu yung long term na job offer na maganda. Hirap din naman ako maghanap ng maliliptan talaga. apply lang ng apply.

I can give you advice sa mga diskarte how to apply dipende din kasi sa season at takbo ng economy. Ang unahin mo muna ayusin yung LinkedIn mo. Add mo lahat ng company na may branch sa Australia sa field mo. Pati mga Australian recruitment agency. Add mo din lahat ng colleague mo dati at ngayun. I post mo din sa LinkedIn mo na your looking for job opportunity sa place na pupuntahan mo. Mag practice ka ng BIM at yung tricks. Tingnan mo rin yung company mo ngayun kung may branch sa pupuntahan mo. Mag request ka sa kanila ng referral letter o kaya kausapin mo yung Australian kung mayrun man sa company mo na kung puede ilagay mo yung name nya sa referees. I kondisyon mo sarili mo na magaling ka kasi ma work experience ka pagdating sa interview.
