  Ay ganon? Di sila consistent sa welcome letter haha. Saakin after nung "...after arriving in Australia" eh wala nang nakasulat regarding appointment. Pero anyway, dahil nga wala naman named banker, pupunta nalang rin ako sa NAB dun sa open hours nila. Lapit na! 17 days!

  Don't underestimate winter lalo na sa mga padating this June/July. Prepare a lot of jogging pants, sweaters and of course jacket, hoodies (better if may down jacket). Para sa lamigin talaga eh dala nadin kayo ng bonnet at glove siguro. Bili na kayo sa Uniqlo ng heatech habang sale Keep warm at mahirap magkasakit!

  Ok naman yung buong flight sa PAL. 1 stop sa darwin airport bago nag brisbane. Ang pangit lang ng terminal 2 waiting area sa NAIA. Ang init at pawis na pawis na bago makapasok.

  1. Walk into any Medicare centre. There are hundreds across Australia & you can find your closest one using this link (http://humanservices.findnearest.com.au/). You’ll need a couple of things before you go. Your passport & proof of visa (Australian bank account details are handy but you can apply for one without this)

  @Liolaeus same office na lang medicare at centrelink ngayon. nung nagpunta kami dala namin ay application form, passport at visa grant letter. walang binigay na temporary medicare card pero dumating naman by post yung card after 2 weeks. wala pa kami nareceive na letter sa centrelink not sure kung dahil lumabas din kami ulit ng Au. kailangan may bank acct ka na bago magregister sa medicare at centrelink.

  Ok na kami ng medicare. Konti lang naman yung i-fill out, mga 3 pages.
  Yung centrelink ang madami, mga 27 pages ata yung sa Family Tax Benefit. Di ko na ginawa yung form sa centrelink dahil mas mabilis at madali pag online. Nag Online Claim na lang ako sa my.gov.au. Kelangan nga pala ng TFN bago makapag claim kaya yun agad unahin nyo pag dating ng AU. Around $300 matatanggap namin every fortnight. hehe

  Ginawan nila ko ng account sa centrelink, then ako na pinagawa nila ng account sa my.gov.au, then pina link sakin yung service na centrelink sa my.gov.au. Nag bigay sila ng step by step instruction, click here and there.
  
  No need na mag fillout ng mahabang form pag gagamit ng online claim, mas madali at accurate pa. Meron din silang computer dun para pwede mo dun magawa sa office nila. Meron din nag a-assist.

  Di ko lang sure kung pwede yung walang dependent. hehe pero dun sa Online Claim, after mo mag sagot ng madaming questions, lalabas kung ano yung mga benefits na pwede mo na makuha as a new migrant. Depende sa current situation mo yung magiging payments.

  Naka register na ako sa TFN pero hindi pa dumadating ang number. Tatawagin ko pa lang, yung medicare card nakuha ko na galing mail pero hindi ko malink. Tatawagin ko bukas.
