HI! I'm a newbie here! I just passed my CPA board exams last May 2016. My dream is to work in Aus, preferably Melbourne. I was curious where do I start? There is this program for CPAs na mag pa assess but we have to work for 36 months pa and I really wanna work there asap. Is there any other option you can suggest? I heard there's student visa or skilled independent? But the thing is, di ko gets. Anyone want to expound to me? Thank you! It would really help. :)

You can check border.gov.au for the specific requirements per visa type - you can also check which visa would suit you best.

For skilled migrant visa kasi (189, 190) if you're a new graduate, chances are you may not meet the required points (points are based on age, work experience, education, etc).

@vamdcpa Hi! Thank you! Actually I actually graduated last October 2014 pa and took the exam twice kaya recently pa lng yung pagiging CPA ko. Would that still apply to me? I mean the hindi pakasali yung points? Other than that, I wanna ask if you got employed before you entered Australia? And regarding sa assessment sa CPAA, yung migration option ba ang gagamitin when I enter their site? Lastly, did you still have to study for the required subjects to be a cpa there? Sorry sa daming tanong. You can just answer when you're free. Really appreciate for replying. :)

@hazelkrist Hello! As long as you've had relevant accounting experience of at least 3 years, that will give you 5 points. Though based sa sinabi mo, looks like you've had less than 3 years.. You may also check this link for more info:

    https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189-

And yes, Migration Assessment area ng CPAA website yung tingnan mo :)

Currently looking for work pa and will be enrolling to start my CPA Australia certification..

Thank you again. Curious ako, may chance ba na makapasok kahit wala pang working experience or kaya nman I'd work for a year lng dito? Kasi baka (feeling lng haha) maka 20pts ako for the IELTS so aabot na ng 60.
