Documentary evidence of financial capacity

Where additional evidence of financial capacity is required, the student will be able to demonstrate this by providing one of the following:

1. evidence of funds to cover travel to Australia and 12 months’ living, course and (for school aged dependants) schooling costs for the student and accompanying family members
evidence of meeting the annual income requirement.

2. an Acceptance Advice of Secondary Exchange Students (AASES) form for secondary exchange students only.

The annual income option requires students to provide evidence of personal annual income of at least AUD 60,000. For students accompanied by family members, the amount is AUD 70,000 or more. The income demonstrated must be the personal income of the student’s spouse or parents only. In circumstances where both the student’s parents are working, their combined income can be considered for this requirement. In all cases, the evidence of annual income must be provided in the form of official government documentation, such as a tax assessment.
The 12-month living and tuition costs option is broadly similar to the requirement that applied to Assessment Level 2 students prior to 1 July 2016. The type of evidence, where required, includes: money deposit or loan with a financial institution, government loan, scholarship or sponsorship.
Where our online client service tool indicates that documentary evidence of financial capacity is required, it is important for students to attach these documents to their visa application prior to lodgement. Failure to do so might result in visa refusal.

Living cost amounts:

From 1 July 2016, the 12 month living cost will be:

Student/guardian - AUD 19,830
Partner/spouse - AUD 6,940
Child - AUD 2,970

Hi guys!

I need help/advice po.

Suppose to be July 2016 intake ako sa Kent Melbourne. Nag lodge na ako nang Visa ko nung 1st week May at na acknowledged na po pero nagka problema ako sa Medical Test ko. I was advised para mag undergo nang further examination kasi may scar ang lungs ko. So required nila na mag Sputum Culture. If based sa 8weeks for the result, expected ko lalabas result the latest mga 3rd Week July. Tapos sabi sa Nationwide Cebu will go another Xray sa July 30. Take note na ang class ko po is July 11.

I know na di na ako aabot for July intake. Pero the school naman meron November intake which is yon ang next plan ko is mag deferred ng application ko mga 2nd week sa July.

Question ko po ay since may revision sa visa regulation effective July 1, 2016. At lodged na visa ko. Ma affected ba ang application ko? I mean, ang application ko ba ay mag follow sa NEW regulation nila kasi nga after July 1 na ako mag defer nang application ko.

By the way, Bachelor of Business pala ako. (SVP 573, AECC CEB)

@eunofficial best option po diyan is contact your own school or consultant. Kasi pag dito ka lang po magtatanong bka mga incorrect information maibigay sayo

@eunofficial I read in the Immigration website that applications lodged and submitted before July 1 will still be under the 573 subclass but applications made after June 30, 2016 7pm Australian time will no longer be considered and should, instead, be lodged under Subclass 500.

@eunofficial You could do that I think. After all ang hintay lang naman natin after lodging is ang results of the application. Usually, if AL1 assessment under 573, minimum 14 days after lodging ang result. My sister got her results in 11 days. So it depends. We can hope for the best pero just in case, November intake seems like a good idea

@SiRen1991: Hi. Salamat sa insights mo. Tingnan nalang natin pag officially mag defer na ako. Binigyan kasi ako nang til July 29 nang school. Pero ang Xray Schedule ko is July 30 pa. Hehehe.

April 15 - Application sent to Uni
June 25 - received letter of offer
June 27 - paid tuition fee deposit and OSHC
June 29 - Received eCoE
June 30 - Medical Exam (P6000 for X-ray, urinalysis and checkup)
July 1 - Lodged visa application under Subclass 500
July 8 - received medical clearance
July 12 - Visa Grant

@aranayad UniMelb po but I think the "no financial doc needed" requirement applies talaga if University and Bachelor's/Master's degree ang inapplyan.

@SiRen1991 thank you for your thoughts apparently my uni CQU needs financial requiremenr based on the checklist even though on the old visa 573 the uni is under level 1.

@lyn0422 I lodged on July 1 as soon as SSVF started and received my grant on the 12th. July 8 din kasi dumating medical clearance ko. As for financial docs, I only submitted a notarized financial declaration "capability of paying for studies in Australia" even if di na kailangan sa doc checklist ko.

@czha sa tongin ko u can inquire sa school directly. kc iba iba yung requirements nila. some school dapat academic yung iba general ok na. yung iba my binibigay cla na exam, gaya ng kaplan. pero ako pagkakuha ko ng english exam nila ng ielts din ako, kc sabi nila i need to enrol sa english program nila. i chose ielts kc mas mahal english course.
