Hi Guys. Mag ask lng sana ko information about Child care / Day care sa Australia. How much and normally per hour po ba?

Normally ano pa uso dyan sa mga family in terms of taking care yung 1yr old to 4 yrs old kids when both parents are working?

@rami well for our case ang charge ng daycare is per day pero yung pagdebit sayo ng charge you can choose weekly, forthnightly or monthly yata. We opted forthnightly. Tapos may makukuha ka naman na child care benefit at child care rebate to help you out with the cost so depende sa salary niyo and situation yung out of pocket cost niyo pwedeng mabawasan ng 50-70% yata. Di ako ganoon ka sure kung ano ang max na pwedeng mabawas sa out of pocket.

Yung sa 4 year old kid mo kelan mo siya plan magschool? Yung iba kase basta magtuturn na ng 5 yung anak nila basta before july ata you can make them go to kindergarten so kapag ganun yung ibang school nagooffer ng before school care and after school care so yung parents can still go to work and pick there kid a bit late. Yung ibang parents opt to make set up with their employer ragarding their work schedule. Lucky na lang for those who can work from home

Thanks a lot sa information... Buti meron pla 50-70% child care benefit if both parents are working.. Medyo pricey ata ang childcare sa au. Kung subsidizd ok din pla kahit costly. Standard pla ito sa australia.

Yearly mo ito makukuha or monthly or fortnightly? If you have 2 or more kids? Mas mataas ba percentage na mkukuha mo?

3yrs pa lng nman yung anak ko and hopefully kung swertehin mkapunta dyan next year kaya ito gather muna ng mga information...

@rami baka nga higher pa sayo kase dalawa sila. Isa lang kase yung akin pero sa pagkakalam ko eh makakakuha ka for both kids eh. Basta may makukuha kang subsidy sa government to help you with the cost so okay na din nakalimutan ko pala sabihin yung price per day nung sa anak ko dati eh 110 per day so yun dito ata by age range yung pricing nila kapag mas younger mahal ng konti.

Yung sa rebate pwede mo schedule ng forthnightly. Tapos by end of financial year nagrerecompute sila based sa salary na naireport niyo sa ATO so like sa case namin dati may narereceive pa kami na konti by end mas malaki ng konti sa forthnight na nakukuha namin. Kung tama ang pagkakaalala ko

Sydney based kami. We moved here nung Jan 3 kasama yung 2-yr-old (now 3) daughter namin. Sa isang child care sa Sydney CBD namin sya pinasok.

$155.50/day from 7:30am - 6pm but since subsidised by the company (part ng benefit), $120/day na lang binabayaran namin for Junior Preschool.
Ngayon, part-time preschool na sya. $150.50/day naman ang charge ($114/day binabayaran namin).

We're staying in Hornsby. Nung nag enquire kami sa isang child care centre sa area, $107/day from 8am - 6pm.

At may extra bayad pag late mo kinuha yung anak mo. $1/minute ang charge dun sa current centre ng anak ko.

Nakaka-receive kami ng Child Care Rebate(CCR) but not Child Care Benefit (CCB).

CCB is income tested. Ang CCR hindi. so depende sa income nyo, pwede kayo maka receive ng both CCB and CCR.

CCR is 7,500/year. We opted to pay the centre and then Centrelink will pay us weekly.
Sa ngayon natatanggap namin yung half ng weekly charge until ma consume ata ang 85% ng 7,500 na cap per year. then end of the next financial year, ipaparecalculate ang difference.

Since February na nag start last financial year yung anak ko, nareceive namin half nung binayad namin from feb-june, which is $6000. Yes, $12,000 ang total na binayaran namin for child care from Feb 15 - End June.

Meron naman registered family care. Mas mura and pwede din ma claim sa Centrelink. Meron din naman ibang mga pinoy na nag o-offer na mag alaga. Hindi nga lang ma-claim sa Centrelink.

me kamahalan nga ang childcare sa Sydney. Both ba kayo nag work kaya cguro hindi na kayo nka receive ng CCB? yung current child care facility nyo ngayon is malapit sa tinitirhan nyo? me waiting list din ba? Sa pag decide nyo pala kung saan titira is based kung saan kayo nkahanap ng work (mejo OT na to hehehe). Maraming salamat!

@noellee pag 5 years old na pala yung bata required na mag aral ng govt. so pag ganun pued na cya sa mga public schools? ok lng ba yung public schools sa tingin mo or gusto mo ipasok sa catholic school?

Both kami may work. Yung centre nasa katabing building ng office building ko. Wala namang waiting list. siguro nagkataon na may available slots pa. May promo pa nga sila that time na free laptop pag inenrol mo yung bata.

January kasi yung start ng school year dito. baka yung mga dating nasa preschool pumasok na sa big school.

Nung dumating kami dito inampon kami nung friend ko na nakatira sa Hornsby. Initially, gusto namin malapit sa City. Pero nung nag stay na kami sa area nagustuhan namin namin. May mall. May asian stores din. may express trains to city. Leafy area. hindi magulo. Medyo may kamahalan lang sa rent yung area.

Ang alam ko pwede na sya ipasok sa govt school sa year na mag turn 5 sya (as long as 5 na sya on or before July 31). Ok naman daw ang public schools dito. Yung mga anak ng mga kakilala ko sa public school nag-aaral. Ok naman daw ang training. Di ko pa sure san mag-aaral anak ko. Depende. Baka sa childcare centre sya til 6. hehehe

@noellee buti nman at hindi kayo nahirapan maghanap ng center para sa daughter nyo. Isa kasi yan sa mga considerations namin kung saan kami titira, wala kc kami kakilala (na close samin) sa Sydney. Cge research ko rin yang Hornsby, mag initial entry kami ng march 2017 isa yan sa mga bisitahin ko:) Buti nman kayo at me work din both. Maraming Salamat!

@batman yung preschool ng anak ko integrated sa child care centre. Meron atang mga public schools na nag o-offer ng preschool. Pero ang recommended age naman na mag start pumasok sa school ng bata is 5 which is kindergarten na. Kung isa lang nag wo-work pwede kinder na agad.

@batman Wala yatang k1 k2. Ang alam ko junior preschool til 3. 3-6yo preschool. 5yo is mandatory age for children in nsw to start school (kindergarten). sa ibang state 6yo. kung mag turn 5 na yung bata before July 31 that year pwede na sya ipasok start ng school year (January)

Paano po mkawaiting list kung sakali sa daycare direct po ba sa mpipili n daycare n malapit sa work? Thanks po

Sa pagkakaalam ko, hindi na yata sa daycare ang 5 and 7 years old? They should be going to primary school already at that age.

There is what they call after school care. Yung if tapos na ang class ng 3PM, pero mappick up mo sila ng 5PM, may extra bayad yung 2 hours after school for someone to look after them. Haven't explored this yet, though. Our bub is just 2.

@curiousmom hello, iyong childcare is 6 months - 5 years old, long daycare ang tawag nila diyan. iyong program for 3-4 years old is pre-kindy and iyong 5 years old kindergarten in preparation for prep. dito sa qld, if your child is turning 5 before june 30, required na siyang pumasok ng prep on that year. if not, then pwede mo pa din siya ipasok sa kindy [long day care]. iba iba ang cut-off ng prep per state so better check.

iyong 7 years old mo, option after ng school hours is iyong OSHC which could be the same as the daycare centre na pinapsukan ng 5 yr old mo if you opt to enroll him/her sa kindy.
iyong anak ko nakaOSHC, iyong centre na din pumipick up sa school bayad namin is $26/day without CCB.

you can call daycare centre near you then lodge in an application form, saka ka lang nila iwaitlist. mostly sa big cities may waitlist tlga kaya better be early.

@mhej @agentKams Wow thank you! sa inyo mas naintindihan ko na, bali po BM pa lang kme sa end of Jan 2019 or 1st week of Feb, 6 yrs old na po ang bunso ko sa april 2019 bali cguro base on age naman prang primary 2 n yung panglawa ko.
bali yung school po jan anong time po ba sorry hehe- 9am-3pm? tpos ang ktulad ng OSHC meron bang public school na ngooffer ng after school care like 3pm onward? Tpos mg add nlng ng fee? Pra nde na mgregister sa ktulad ng OSHC or after school care.. Addition po, kung subsidize mgkno kaya roughly ang babaydan nmin visa 190 po kme sa nsw nbsa ko raning $110-130 subsidize npo ba yun. ngresearch nko para mkwork po ako at husband ko.thank you po
