@cm1212 hi, did you submit a subject mapping? it is not required but it will be of great help because the assessor will easily match the subjects you took that are required for each competency area.

Hellooo, anyone here na naexperience mag-appeal ng assessment nila with CPAA/ICAA or iba pa? My agent submitted an appeal on my behalf to CAANZ last Friday para mareconsider yung jobs ko paglabas ng auditing firm. Hindi kasi nila inassess as suitable. Nagreply naman yung CAANZ nung Monday na irereview nila kaso baka katulad to sa PTE na pag nagaappeal e mas binababaan pa yung score. Haha. Sana may makapag-share, nakakapraning maghintay eh

Hello everyone, I have 2 years experience as an auditor and 6 years experience as an accountant. Tingin nyo po how many years ang pwede sakin macredit sa assessment if Accountant General yung inaapplyan ko? Sayang kasi points baka pwedeng makalusot sa 8 years.

@mrkanncpa I agree with @batman. Did you provide any additional supporting document? I lodged an appeal to ICAA previously but it was regarding my skills assessment. I provided additional info and eventually got a positive result.

depends on how you frame you Job Description but yeah my wife had similar circumstance as yourself (less than 6 yrs external auditor and 3.5 yrs in reporting - she got her full work experience credited as Accountant General...

@mrkanncpa I also appealed with CPAA naman. Baliktad naman yung akin, yung 5 years work ko sa auditing firm ang hindi naconsider. I sent them a revised and more detailed JD from my employer. They confirmed receipt last Aug 9 and currently Assessment in Progress pa din ang status.. Will have to wait for 15 working days muna kasi yun ang standard processing time nila. So mga first week of September siguro. Sana maging positive and result. Good luck sa atin!

@pink accountant ba ang nominated occupation mo? ang bagal ng CPAA no. I was expecting they will complete the assessment in 15 days, mukhang 1 month processing sila.

@batman yes po, accountant din po nominated occupation ko.. oo nga e, dami kasi nagpapa assess. Pero if lagpas ka na sa 15 working days, pede ka na mag follow up. Ginawa ko yun dati, kinabukasan nareceive ko ang result.

@mgfg @batman @pink Nagreply na CAANZ kahapon din. Ang ginawa kasi ng agent ko, as if habol na documents lang yung additional files na binigay ko. So sagot ng CAANZ, mag-apply na lang kami ng formal appeal. By formal I mean may bayad na 170AUD. HAHA pera-pera talaga. Pero totoo sir @batman, mabilis ang response time nila pero downside is I think mas expensive nga lang. Anyway yung additional docs ko are Job Description, affidavit from 3rd party (immediate superiors), tsaka employment history generated from SSS website. Good luck po talaga satin sana lumabas na assessments at nang makapag-EOI na

@pink thank you for the suggestion. I just called them, sabi wala pa daw 15 days. so in 2 days pa daw ma release. latest Monday. I inquired din sabi ko member na ako so na assess na qualification ko as bachelors degree dapat mas mabilis na kasi parang work experience na lang ang I assess nila. sabi di daw nila pina prioritize if member or not. tpos no use na I fast track pa daw kasi in 2 days mabibigay na nila nman daw. bigyan lang daw sila ng couple of days. sabi ko na lang okay.

technically they are correct - if 15 days and TAT, eh di ka pa nag 15 days...

give them a call again by monday...

@TasBurrfoot, yes wala pa 15 days, my bad, I counted including weekends. I e mailed and telephoned them. They are very accommodating naman.

Pano inaway ko sila 2 times na mali mali kasi mga information at and website nila. Una noong sabi ng kausap ko from CPAA Singapore exempt na daw ako sa experience requirement. tapos pag labas ng membership assessment ko hindi daw. pinakita ko e mail ng colleague nila na yun info binigay sa akin, nag apologize lang na eto daw ang dapat blah blah.

pangalawa yung migration assessment fee yung website nila ni waive so tuwang tuwa ako. after 10 day siningil ako. sabi ko bakit gnun willing nman ako mag bayad tpos now sasabihin nyo hold ang process kasi di ako nag bayad. in the first place e hindi ako siningil ng system nyo, binigyan pa nila ako ng ZERO na receipt as proof. as usual apologize lang sila.

isa na lang bibingo na sa akin mga yun hehe

) ang sabi in 2 days daw e. pag wala pa sa CEO na nila ako mag e mail. hehe

@batman hahaha, i feel you. Minsan talaga sablay tong mga taga CPAA. Like kanina, nakareceive ako ng email from them regarding my appeal. Eto mga portions of the email:

1. "Thank you for your application for a skilled migration assessment of your education. We are pleased to confirm that we have received your application together with your supporting documentation." - Hindi naman education ang nirequest ko for review, which is very clear naman dun sa inattach ko pa na cover letter na ni-mail ko sa kanila. I requested for the review of my experience as auditor so I submitted a revised COE from my employer with JD na more or less related sa work ng accountant. May naka-attach din na mga copies ng result of my skills and employment assessments para di na sila maghanap at dahil requirement din nila yun if you will request for a review.

2. "Please provide either an original colour scan, or certified true copies of your official skilled employment references / testimonials. We are unable to accept black and white copies of transcripts that have not been certified." - Colored original copy of the COE naman ang pinadala ko with Dry seal pa. Tsaka wala naman ako pinadalang transcript dahil hindi naman nga education ang pinapareview ko.

Hay naku, wala naman ako magagawa kung hindi magpadala na lang ulit sa kanila kesa mag explain pa na tama naman ang mga pinadala ko na docs. Nag clarify na lang ulit ako sa email ko sa kanila na employment assessment ang pinapareview ko.

So malamang, balik sa zero nanaman ang count ko ng 15 working days dahil sasabihin nila na ngayon ko lang nacomplete ang requirements.. O diba magaling.

PS: Through mail (hard copies) ang pinadala ko na docs kasi ang nakalagay dun sa form nila ng review/appeal hindi sila nag aaccept ng email pag review. Pero kanina, i learned na nagpareview din si sis @jillpot and ang inadvise sa kanya is kahit magsend na lang ng soft copies. Sa madaling sabi, gumastos pa ako ng courier from Philippines to Australia na 1,600++ na pede naman palang hinde. O diba magaling talaga.

@pink hindi ako nag iisa, kala ko alone ako sa suffering with CPAA. professionally ko naman pinapamukha sa kanila mga mali nila with supporting documents talaga as evidence. at maayos ang email ko. baka kasi paginitan ang aking migration assessment at aminado naman sila sa mali nila.

Hi po sa lahat. Sa mga CPA po jan na member ng CPA Australia. Baka pwedi nyo po akong bigyan ng advice. CPA po ako sa Pinas at Associate member ng CPA Australia. I'm currently working po dito sa Singapore. Pero gusto-gusto ko po sana sa Australia. Nag pa plan po ako pumunta via student visa. mahihirapan po ba ako maghanap ng part time work doon or kaya employer na mag sponsor sa akin. BTW, sa Brisbane ko po planong pumunta. Thank you po.

Good evening to all!
I'll be starting my application para sa independent skilled migrant visa. I think yung pinakamalaking issue ko is providing a detailed JD sa pag-assess ng employment. I've been with one of the big 4 for more than 5 years pero sa advisory, hindi sa audit. I'm not sure kung may detailed JD kami kasi nga hindi ako sa audit. Haven't tried asking HR kasi baka malaman ng boss ko, who is likely not supportive of my migration plans.
Anyway, anyone here na may issue sa pag-provide ng detailed JD? Anong ginawa n'yo?

@Pretsels what occupation you plan to nominate? You can opt to have a statutory declaration and have someone signed it. (senior, colleague) and have it notarized.

Usually big 4 has detailed JD.

Hello. I'm new to this thread. Need to consult with something. I hope someone here can help me out. I'm an accountant, 36y.o. I got married in Feb 2016 and submitted an EOI immediately after with 65 points. Given the cap of 2,500 slots and stiff competition for accountants, I'd like to know what my chances are of getting an invitation within the year. Is there a way for me to know or a way for me to increase my chances?
