    @Diwata 1057
Worth it po ba talaga long term wise yung pag transfer sa OZ from SG?
Kami din po medyo comfy na rin ang buhay sa SG and we have one child.
1 month old pa ang baby namin.

If I may respond @Cleon - what is your status here in Singapore ba? PR or Pass Holder?

For my case kasi, me and my wife are EP holders here for the past 4 years - life has been good and we have been able to travel, buy a property back in Pinas and at the same time was able to save as well...

However, since we were not fortunate enough to be given a PR here, we acknowledge the fact that this kind of life is not gonna last forever. Sooner or later, we need to go somewhere wherein we can be able to work on something that will be for the longer term hence we are trying our best to apply down under...

Had we been PR, would our mindset had been the same? Probably because Singapore is already becoming too crowded and expensive...

    All the best! :)

@Psycoboy salamat sir sa pag bigay info. Oo nga ang kagandahan ng tanong dito sa mga kababyan natin is my shared experience na galing sa kanila . Although at the end of the day subjective talaga ang lahat ng eto at depende sa priorities natin lahat at need.

Hintay kulang sagot ni Diwata kasi prang similar situation tayo sa kanya and naunana sya.
Naka bakasyun ako sa Melbourne and Sydney last year 1 week each lang doon ako na kapag isip to migrate, now still gathering data to make the desisyun and maybe the right timing for my family.

Meron ba didto PR sa Sg at PR din sa AU?

@ TinaR thanks sa mga sensible na comments mo at least everyonena nag plano to migrate can think and plan before going there .

Sir @Cleon, close your eyes for a moment and balikan nyo yung unang araw nyo sa Singapore.
    ....
    ....
That's right. But look at you now. May magandang career, may sariling unit, at masayang pamilya.

Now imagine yourself on that first day, but in Oz, and you're now more emotionally and financially prepared than how you used to be.

That said, halos wala naman talagang maginhawang buhay sa Pinas.

Added to that pa, yung mga benefits ng PR dati like subsidized education, hospitalization are being minimized na rin. Ika nga ng LSL, we need to make a clear line of the difference between PR and Citizens...

I am not PR, pero swerte kami ni misis na kahit hindi PR, may binibigay pa rin sa amin na benefits in lieu of the contribution sana ng company namin sa CPF. Kahit papaano it helps sa pag-save dito.

Tama ka dyan bro. Andali magpaalam dito. Yun iba kasi akala nila entitlement nila yun, kahit wala sakit nagsi-sickie. Hehe.

^ So hindi common practice diyan yung gumamit ng sick leave for the sake of consuming them? Yun bang 'not really sick just tired' leave? hehe

    sorry...late reply. haha!

nung nagapply po kasi ako ng PR dati, sobrang luwag pa nun. lahat ng nagaapply nung time na yun e approved lahat unlike today. pero tingin ko di na marerenew ang PR ko dito sa Singapore kasi pag renewal, tinitingnan nila kung may work ka 1 year prior to your renewal. so pag nakita nila na hindi na ko nagwowork dito sa SG, malamang di na nila ako irenew. but i will still be visiting SG (with or without PR) kasi taga dito ang sister ko and her family. and since mahal ang shopping sa OZ, sabi ng wife ko at least once a year daw kelangan namin bumisita dito (pag GSS - Great Singapore Sale). hahaha
