anywhere can be a good stepping stone as australia doesn't discriminate where you got your experience (unlike say new zealand in which they have something like a comparable market which fortunately kasama ang Pinas) - goodluck in your application!

Hi sir @psychoboy, your handle does not justify your very wise reply to my query. Salamat po. Natingnan ko na po yun and pasok ako sa 4/4 na mandatory areas, overall pasok ako sa 11/12 areas. What i meant ay may mga ganung subjects kami nung college, pwede na po yun diba?
Ahahaha, anytime @dwayti - yung bossing ko kasi is also an accountant in profession. she applies for it and takes the IELTS test whilst I do all the research, documentation and bayad (ahahahah!! :))

If pasok ka 4/4 sa mandatory then it should hopefully be okey... Take heed though as they might be very fuzzy about the subject content most especially in this Accounting Theory mandatory area for CPA Australia. Basta I would strongly recommend that if you do take the migration assessment, you should present a very strong subject syllabus that is very complete (my wife's was 99 pages in total). Added to that, it would help if you can give them a tabular presentation of your subjects and their corresponding core knowledge area as per your understanding. At least this is what we did to my wife's application.

    Hope this helps!! :D
hello po again @psychoboy. yong 99 pages ba na syllabus ng wife nyo all pages notarized? pra ganun din kc kadami ng syllabus ko. ung mga major subjects ko naman signed by the registrar at the last page while yong minor subjects ko naman photocopies lng from the department syllabus w/o signature from the dean. do you think this will be accepted when notarized? been following your posts since super detailed po kc ung pagshare nyo dito sa forum and super knowledgeable. THANKS A LOT!

walang notarization seal @sticky_note kasi original yung sinubmit namin...

we did not pass the minor subjects na - what we included are those we deemed part of the 12 core knowledge area by CPA Australia.

    hope this helps! :)

@psychoboy ganito po kc ung documents ko:

acctg, finance, auditing, taxation & law (major subjects)- signed by the registrar
quantitative methods (math i guess)- signed by the department chairman
economics & information system (i guess computer subjects) - no signed --->need po ba na ipanotarized to? or magpapasign nlng po sa mga department chairman pra mas madali.

ok lng po ba na last page lng yong may sign sa syllabus?

    thanks so much.

To be honest, it would be hard to give an opinion on your case.

But I think the rule of thumb is that, dapat yung mga syllabus mo it has to contain a signature of a specific person (department chair, registrar, etc) and their contacts.

Somehow I hope this helps? But my apologies if I can't clear your doubts...

@sticky_note - yes, i'm bisdak! :) and yes for the benefit of everyone..
mine was photocopy lahat, my economics was in fact photocopy of
a photocopy.. hehe.. my former colleague got approved last 2010, sabi kasi nya nun, in case daw we decided to apply din, binigyan nya kami ng photocpy of econ kasi nga u have to get it from dept, unlike the acctg subjects dun lang sa registrar. i asked registrar kung pwede dry seal all pages kahit last page lang ang signature, di nya ko pinayagan. thank God, inaccept naman ng CPAA.

Do I have to include also my PRC/CPA certificate and license, College Diploma? Anything else po? thanks!

Include mo na PRC/CPA Certificate and Licence as well as copy of your college diploma.

I would suggest you make a cover letter to CPA Australia na nakalagay doon index sa lahat ng documents mo. And also make a table which indicate the subjects you think covers the subjects in the core knowledge area...

    Hope this helps!
