help po... I just found an error sa COE that I submitted for assessment to CPAA. "Finance Exec" ung post but as per HR record, it is "Accounts Exec". So in my EOI should I just put "Finance Exec" or ung tama n job title. Im just worried kc baka they will call the office and un nga malaman nila mali ang job title.

hello po. meron ba ditong associate member ng CPAA na nagrequest for review ng skilled employment? may bayad ba? kasi ang migration assessment wala ng bayad. hindi lang ako sure kung sa request for review ay libre din.

walang bayad ung review for skilled employment.

@Xiaomau82 thanks for the reply. kaya pala hindi sila tumawag for credit card payment at nakalagay sa status received application for review.

oo libre sia kahit nga indi cpaa member libre e as long as meron ka na positive assessment or sabay mo gagawin skilled assessment and relevant skilled employment

Hello po. May hiningi po sa kin CPAA na additional doc, yun board rating. Naipasa ko na. Dun sa email nila sa kin, nakalagay "Thank you for your application for a skilled migration assessment of your EDUCATION."

Nagpa-assess din kasi ako ng work history. Pero ang tanong ko po, bakit di nabanggit dun sa email na kasama yun sa i-assess nila. Is there a way to check the online form I filled up to ensure na kasama yung work history na i-assess nila? Kasi if I track the application sa website ng CPAA, naka-in progress lang.

@Lexi ganun din email sakin nung nanghingi ng additional document.Both education and work history na assess naman nila.

Hi everyone, i am a newbie here but i have been reading this forum for quite a while now. I am currently base po sa Singapore. May question po sana ako, hope someone can help me on this. Pano if ung previous post ko is Senior Accts kc i have been in that company for 5 and half years. I initially started working as Accts. Executive then promoted after 2 years to Senior post. I am not only handling accounts but also shipping documentation & trade banking facility. When the company decided to move in India, i don't have any choice but to look for another job here & since Accounting jobs are quite tough those times, i ended up working as Senior Shipping Exe., totally not related to accounting. Then Sept 2015 i joined another company as Accts Exe and till now I'm still working in that company. Ung question ko po, may impact ba if I were previously in Senior post with much higher salary than my current post? Thanks in advance.

@morningstarr , no impact at all, what is more important is you can convince the assessing body you have performed the duties needed as an accountant.

Ang tagal ng 15 working days.

Bumilis kaya given the following:
1. In 2010, I had a positive assessment but it expired already.
2. I am an Associate member of CPAA, with a Distinction transcript in the Ethics subject (ito palang nakuha ko)

Good morning to all of you,
I have been browsing your forum for about a week already dahil my brothers in AU (citizens) have asked me and my husband if we would like to try our luck and apply for general skilled migration. An agent is an option, but my bro said that if we research and process carefully we may be able to apply on our own. I believe this forum holds very helpful members by giving advices and sharing their own experiences. I hope some of you help me with my initial query.

Husband is an Econ grad from top univ in Phils and took partial MBA units in the same school's grad program a yr after his Bachelors Degree. From then - he accumulated over 10 yrs work experience being in line of Financial Analyst/ Financial Planning and Analysis and has reached senior in role in multinational banks. I think the closest occupation on the list is Accountant.... but since he is not an Acctg grad/non CPA but Econ - he has most of the mandatory courses spread in Econ and MBA. We just need to check which of all these will be considered to fulfill the mandatory courses. First question is - will the MBA units be considered as he took these subjects before he started the financial analyst function?

Second - assuming they are credited... he did not have business law in Econ. Most likely, he will be asked to complete courses by CPAA (our planned assessing body) so that he fulfills the mandatory course/s. How long does this take/get completed before he could request to be reassessed by the same body and aim for positive skills assessment?

Third - have all applicants who successfully applied and were granted visas all accountancy degree holders in Ph? Has anyone here experienced completing a business course (Econ) in Ph but has been considered and approved? Do you think his chances are good given his employment and skillset background?

Fourth - apparently clock is ticking for this line of occupation (Acctant) but my brother said that if he has a chance for a positive assessment it is worth trying because we do not know if it will stay on or be removed from the list for 2017-2018. If his chances are good he is looking at reviewing and taking the PTE-A as suggested by my bro (because this is what he took/is familiar with). As we search for jobs online - there's a lot of openings for Financial Analyst/ Financial P&A positions in financial institutions/banks that describe exactly what my husband is handling here in the Ph. It is the assessment aspect of his educational qualifications that we are concerned about.

Fifth- I understand that the employment assessment is also done by CPAA for free. This is also uncertain for his case because while we are confident of his work experience/skillset for FP&A functions in the big banks we do not know how it will be assessed relating to his educational qual/assessment.

Apologize for quite the lengthy thread and again I appreciate so much your insights!

1 - MBA units will be counted. I don't see any reason na hindi.
2 - most likely yes. Question why accountant. hindi sya makakuha ng positive skill assessment as accountant kasi ang line of work nya is not accountant. check other occupation. closely related sa work nya.
3-some are not accounting degree or non cpa still got positive assessment. dpends on syllabus provided. school has factor also.
4-education if top uni sa pinas + MBA for sure positive. but the nominated occupation u must double check hindi sya closely related sa accountant ang nature ng work nya. I have doubt na makakuha sya ng positive.
5 same points mentioned above.

@aron1986 did you apply for reissuance/renewal of the old assessment? for sure it will be faster if assessed before na and u just added new information such as work experience.

@batman thank you so much for your inputs. Nakikita nga namin pwede ring Finance Manager ang ginagawa nya. Financial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Expense Governance ang key responsibilities na hinahandle nya sa multinational banks na pinanggalingan nya. Kasamahan nya rin iba mga CPAs pero nalinya na talaga sya sa hardcore finance hehe despite na di sya Accountant. Either way - same assessing bodies and he will have to check pa rin what additional courses he needs to complete. We will give it a shot and take it one step at a time. Pag talagang ukol, bubukol ika nga. Ty!
