@faye Yup mura nga yung charge nya. sideline lang po kasi nya yung pagiging agent and wala din po syang office kaya mura lang yung charge. Pero ok naman po syang kausap and siguradong lalakad naman yung application mo. Ang bigat talaga kapag ganyan yung price ng agent.3000 Aud e pang visa fee na yun e. Hehehe.

@k_mavs samin din pinay at Oz Citizen. dito sya ngaun sa pinas kasi marami syang client. ah bagong lodge ka lang pla. iniisip ko pa nga if kelan kami mgpamedical ni hubby kc nagkasore throat ako. tpos may prob pa si hubby sa riyadh police clearance nya kc umuwi na sya nung april 4 same day nung ngemail samin ang CO requesting our medical and police clearance. anong visa ang inaapply mo? ako ung subclass 176.

PALMS din ako. although i had a bad experience with them nung una pero bumawi naman sila sa huli. di naman actually kasalanan ng agency. ung tao nila ang may prob. mejo mabagal kumilos. pero nung umalis ung tao na un at nilipat kami sa ibang agent bumilis and dun na kami na-approve.

di na nga ako nagreklamo nun kay Ms. Mahle kasi parang di na kelangan baka humaba lng ang usapan. si kumander lng mejo mareklamo kasi binabayadan naman daw namin sila.

well, ang importante na-approve na kami coz they've done their part as our agent. ung pumalit dun sa una talagang bumawi pinagpupuyatan daw mga docs namin. kaya mejo nawala ung dismaya ko dahil dun sa una. :-)

To stay on topic:

I will give this simple analogy based on my experience as I got an agent myself.

"If you have the money but you have no extra time, go get an agent."

May mga details kasi sa visa application na kelangan talaga basahin at pag-aralan nang maigi. So lalo na sa mga sagad sa work na wala nang oras asikasuhin ang mga ganyan (except for the IELTS review and completing the requirements from school, employer, etc.) kelangan nyo nga ng agent as it will save you more time.

And pag may agent ka assured ka na tama ang mga docs mo kasi sila ang magsasabi syo. Pag nagkamali ka ng pasa ng requirements baka ipaulit lng sayo and we all know that it will take time again and yun ang pinaka-kalaban natin - oras.

And i'm sure makakalimutan mo yung costs ng pag-hire ng agent pag na-approve ka na coz after all it's all that matters. You were able to get what you need and they were able to do their job. :-)

Reminder lang ha kahit may MARA agent, yung applicant pa rin ang mag provide ng all documents. Ang trabaho ng agent ay mag assist, mag-guide at mag advise about visa application. Goodluck

if ako naman ang tatanungin mo about sa mga nagastos ko. more or less 300k. whew...
1.) IELTS - P8640 (provided that you were able to pass in one go)
2.) Skills Assessment - Pxxxx (depends on which assessing body as each has their own different rate) - mine was around 400AUD (ACS)
3.) Agency - P180K more or less (don't worry you don't have to pay all that, depens on what stage you're in like after sign-in, before visa lodgement, before medicals, after visa approval)
4.) Visa fee - 2960AUD
5.) Medical exam fee - P10k (for 3 persons)
6.) NBI clearance - Pxxx (nakalimutan ko na)

parang ganyan ata. kaya may "ata" ang statement ko kasi ayoko na alalahanin pa kung magkano ung actual na nagastos ko kasi naka-2 ACS application ako at 3 IELTS exams. whew... there naalala ko na naman. nyawwrrrr... but it will be worth it when you finally get the visa believe me. :-)

@jem_024 opo PALMS ang agency na ni-hire ko nung nag-apply ako ng visa. :-) like i sad staggered naman ang payment di naman isahan so kung kulang ung budget it should be okay. kami nga di namin naaalala kung pano kmi nakakalap ng pondo. one of the mysteries on how God helps us in our daily lives.

Hi just to share my experience. I'm a holding a SC 175 visa-PR. Last Feb 2010 nagrant ung visa ko and hindi ko na naisip kumuha ng agent that time dahil sa magiging additional expenses.

Ang ginawa ko lng is chineck ko ung DIAC website at sinunod ko lahat ng procedures don. Pinadala ko ung requirements and payment (bank draft) directly sa DIAC office through courier. In case my additional information na kelangan, mgeemail naman ung case officer. Ang maganda pa don is pede mo ng isubmit through email kung ano mang document ung hinihingi nila.

I used an agent po, her name is angelica o'sullivan, a pinay. She is a MARA registered agent and ang laki ng tulong niya sa akin. She has been with me from the start and I owe her so much:
- gave me materials for IELTS
- gave feedback on my CDR(for engineers), told me the points in that category that I missed, and other very important stuff
- she is really not after the money, seemingly unbelievable for agents but true. I mean I was the one who kept reminding her that I need to pay her and to think talagang ang liit lang ng professional fee niya compared to the agencies here in the Philippines. I don't want to say the exact amount because I believe her rates went up na.
- she gave great advices even before I signed the contract
- you deal with the mara registered agent personally, not just there representatives as what is going on here in Ph and that is the main reason why she can give feedback immediately.
- helped me with the stat declaration (defacto relationship), I think she also gave her statement as a witness of our continuing relationship (me and my partner)
- others
