Is there anyone who has a successful employment experience in facility management or building operations and maintenance industry? Or someone working with CBRE, Jones Lang, Hays, and other FM companies?

@cen28 hello! I've been in Sydney for 2.5 years na. When I received job offers I had a choice between facilities management and strata management - I chose strata hehe. Ikaw?

I'm working as a facility engineer na in a data centre in Melbourne, though we migrated last year lang. Worth it nman ang effort coming here, pero very challenging sa simula. How are you going with the job?

@cen28 Madali lang ako naka-adapt kasi pareho lang legislation ng NSW and sa Sg. Busy sa amin. May bagong eklat sila lagi in strata/body corp management so need to be on your toes lagi. Malaki yung portfolio ko ngayon. Actually second company ko na 'to. Yung una boutique agency, etong company ko ngayon part ng malaking corporation. I think I'll stick to this industry for now.

Hi @jiomariano, almost 3 months ako naghintay before ako nakaKuha ng job related sa FM. I worked as a facilities coordinator with AMP for a month before ako na-hire as a facility engineer, which I prefer. In my case, the reason why I said it's challenging is because sobrang technical ng job na napasok ko. I used to be a facility manager abroad which is mostly management related. Kya kailangan mgCope up ng mabilis dahil masyadong mabilis at sharp ang mga colleagues ko, pero sa simula lang mahirap nman. Apart from that, to be honest, mahirap tlga makakuha ng work dito. Pero possible, what you need are connections with the right people and enough work experience. PM me bro for anything, i might be of help. Cheers!

Interested to penetrate into FM as I have a background in data centre central VAV systems for high rise buildings when I was still in the Philippines. I am formerly working in JLL as FM. @cen28 Bro how about networking/systems/telephony jobs jan sa work mo? Meron ba? Target ko din is Melbourne. I am trying to get as much connections as I can before going there. I am still in the visa process though.

I know sa FM ka or sa data center. Ako kasi more of the technology inside the data center like networking/Telephony and a few server management experience.
