General Skilled Immigration Visa - Step By Step Process

Hello Everyone.

May I ask lang if anyone knows what the procedures are kapag nagparenew ng Philippine Passport in the middle of processing a General Skilled Migration? My passport will expire on May 2018 kasi and by that time I think nasa AU na ako.

Ask ko lang po.

1. When is the best time na magupdate ako ng passport? before EOI? before VISA lodge?
2. I passed my assessment using my current passport, will that have an impact sa EOI or VISA submission ko?
3. If ever na nakuha ko yung direct grant before my passport expires, can I update my passport details sa VISA through the Australian Government?

Hi Everyone,

Question naman, I am trying to complete my EOI but I am not sure kung ano yung Educational Qualification ko.

As per ACS assestment, ito nakalagay:

"AQF Diploma with a major in Computing"

Question is ano qualification ko?

Option 1: A Bachelor degree from an Australian educational institution or a Bachelor qualification, from another educational institution that is of a recognised standard.

Option 2:A diploma or trade qualification completed in Australia

I know na hindi naman Option 2 kasi "in Australia", but hindi din naman Bachelor ang nakalagay sa ACS assestment but AQF Diploma, may difference ba yan?

@Strader thnks. Ask ko lng po ung senario ko is nagapply ako for 189 visa and already submitted an EOI nung month of May p. Ngaun plan ko po sna magapply for 190 visa for NSW and victoria, instead of updating my EOI to add 190 application pwde po b ako mgcreate ng another EOI for 190 nmn? hindi po b ito mgkakaroon ng problem with DIBP since dlwa submitted ko n EOI? thanks

Hi all. Ask ko po sana kung ma count ba ung years experience sa unang kumpanya ko. Kasi hnd sya related sa telecomm eh. Pero project engr ang title ko dun. Sa project management team kasi ako na assign. Pero ang ipapa assess ko telecomm engr since 3.5yrs ko na syang experience.

@Strader Do you mean n kpag ngapply ako for NSW and Victoria under 190 visa ihiwalay ko p po b sya ng EOI? Ano pong mas advisable when applying to different state under 190? Another question just to verify if mgaaply s NSW and victoria state under 190 may mga ipapasa p po b ako n mga form sa mismong state website nla? thnx

@PinoyMech yes hiwalay na eoi ang ginagawa nila. I think sa nsw dapat maghintay ka sa invitation to apply. Di ako sure sa victoria ano procedure nila. Sa amin kasi sa SA after eoi mag.apply kami mismo sa website ng SA immigration. ^^

Ano po required documents para magclaim ng points sa work experience? Considering na engineer po, standard CDR lang kasi ang ipaassess ko sa EA dahil related naman sa occupation code ko ang exp.

Basta nasa present job ka pa rin after ng assessment mo at umabot ng 5years?

Next year Feb 2018 pa kasi ako mag 5yrs sa job. Pero magsubmit ako sa EA this November na sana.

Another question po, Ung 189 EOI ko po xe is mageexpire n sya in April 2018, if wla p dn po invite is it advisable n magcreate ako ng another same application as my current existing 189 EOI today pra maadjust to new 2 years or kailngan wait ko muna sya maexpire bgo ako pwde ulit mgsubmit ng EOI for 189, mgkakaroon po b ito ng problem s DIBP kpg multiple same visa type application? @PinoyMech i think di sya pwede kasi pareha lang naman ang eoi for 189 visa. Ang expiration lang ba rason mo na gusto mo magcreate ng panibago? Magkano pala points mo now?

Age-30pts / Educ. - 15pts / Exp. - 10pts / English - 10pts = 65pts
Taken IELTS - 3 times
Taken PTE - 5 times
April 2016 - Submitted EOI 190 (60pts) (2 years before expiration)
May 2017 - Updated EOI to 189 (65pts) and remove 190 in same application
September 2017 - Submitted separate EOI 190 (70pts) NSW

Yup po ung expiration po ung worried ko xe expire n ung EOI 189 q by April 2018, it means that I need to submit by April 2018 new EOI 189 if still no ITA. Meaning another extended waiting time. On the other hand, naicip ko lng n If I created today same 189 and no problem with DIBP then kung maexpire man ung isa, eh may isa p n running ung waiting time for 189 application.

Is it advisable if mgtry muna ko mgwork overseas? gusto ko po sna mkaipon p while waiting for an ITA before moving to AU medyo hirap dn po xe dito sa pinas mkaipon eh.

Ask ko lng po, based sa self assessment, 65 pts po ang accumulated points ko for visa 189. How do I know how probable and kung gaano katagal bago mabigyan ng ITA? I have read sa DIBP website na may ranking pa eh. Thanks po
