Hello, I have a similar question. Wala akong nursing educational background.
I am already in Autralia, PR na po ako. Gusto ko po sana mag nurse, is it too late? I am running 38 years old. My experience is customre service + office jobs sa healthcare industry. Is it too late to have a fresh start for me? EN po ba ang first step ko? Maraming salamat sa inputs?

Sorry I'm not in Nrusing Field. but just to encourage you. I don't believe in the word late :) basta interest mo go for it. :) the success is driven based on your interest and determination. May kilala ko nurse naman, he was 35 before, but he switched to IT. he's very smart, and top notched in programming. i think now he's around 41, he's a leading a big team as a Software Lead.

@Darbets Actually, madaming mature age students sa uni ko dati. As in di sila na stigma compared s pinas. Dinadala pa nga mga anak nila sa class namin. May isa ako classmate nsa 50s na. Pero go sa aral pa din. But i think you have to contact the school sa requirements. Kasi yung iba kong pinoy na friends, PR na sila but they were still required to do english test and they did 3 years nursing tlga kasi no background. depende sa uni yung reqs

@msori001 Pwede namang magshift ng course especially kapag to a higher Degree. Yun nga lang ang issue madalas is yung sa GTE, you have to provide a good reason to convince your Case Officer why you’re shifting courses lalo na kapag hindi related yung tinapos mo sa kukuhaning course.

With the visa, just as long as you stay here lawfully (valid visa), there will be no problems at all. May mga education consultancies na free ang charge like IDP and AECC dito sa Au. You can book an appointment with them to discuss your plans of shifting courses.

You can check your eligibility through this link:
    https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/485-

Marami kasing factors to consider kaya hindi ko masabi kung eligible ka or not - age, CRICOS Registered course, etc...
