    I have to agree on this... Nakaka-tense maghintay. Sa kabilang forum since mas madami sila doon, madami din issue. kung mabasa mo mga problems nila, you will begin to thing - will this apply to me kaya?!!

    Good day sa lahat...

    Share ko lang po yung timeline ko at hihingi na rin ako ng advise para mapag-isipan kong mabuti ang susunod na gagawin...

    Nag-update po ako ng EOI nung Nov. 10 para sa IELTS results ko. So natuloy ang EOI at nagkaroon ng 3 visa options for 189, 190 at 489 na open for invite.

    Naghintay-hintay po ako ng invite hangang kahapon (Nov 15) at naisip ko baka kako mas mabilis kapag nag-SS ako, kaya nag-decide na po ako na mag-apply for NSW SS, ayun nagbayad tayo sa BPI ng para sa application fee (Bank draft) at nagpadala ng documents sa courier kanina lang...

    Ang nangyari po e pag-uwi ko sa bahay ngayon e me nakita na po ako invitation for 189. Tanong ko po sana kung ano maganda gawin?

    -Itutuloy ko na kaya ang 189 at mababawi ko pa kaya ang naipadala kong bank draft kanina?
    - O hintayin ko na lang po yung 190? At ano po ba ang advantage kung mag-190 ako..mas mabilis po ba?
    - Balak ko pong isama ang mag-ina ko at nagiisang anak (7 months old), kung magtutuloy po ako ng pag-lodge ng VISA mas maganda po ba kunan ko na agad yung baby ko ng Passport?

    @renjo - unang una.. congratulations...
    my opinion:
    1. go for the 189... marami ang may gusto ng 189 because it has no restrictions on where to go in AU.. unlike 190 you have an obligation to satify the 2-yr residency rule...

    2. for SS- at this point, maghihintay ka pa ng approval ng SS, that will take 1, 2 or 3 months... so matatagalan ka pa nun... call the bank, and NSW SS, baka pwede pa nmn bawiin un.. check the website kung pwede bawiin ang fee, if you withdraw the application.. otherwise your 300aud is gone...

    3. yes, include your family sa application.. kasi kung hindi, panibagong application fee na naman yun... at this point.. you will pay 3060AUD for the visa application with or without your family.. so why not include them na lang... asikasuhin mo agad ang passport nila.. otherwise baka magexpire ang "invitation to apply" mo (in 60days i guess)..

    Nsw ss would take less than a month from my experience...
    Pero ano b plano mo? Kung nagmamadali ka... go for 190... mabilis ma aprub ang may ss... yun nga lang kelangan mo 2 yrs mag stay... pero sydney has a lot of opportunities compared sa ibang state and eventually u will settle din naman sa isang state and u cant go wrong with nsw...

    Pero kung hindi k naman nagmamadali go for 189... and gaya nga ng nasabi... u have lot of options where to live....

    Re: demand draft i believe nde mo na mabawi yun... but u can verify with bpi and with nsw as well...

    @renjo : i agree with what they said. i think halos parehas na ang processing time ng 189 and 190 e. for 190 kasi, you will still have to wait for NSW to approve your SS. kung nag-189 ka naman, you can apply for the visa now. yun nga lang, sayang yung perang pinadala mo. baka pwede mong kausapin agad ang BPI para mapa-cancel ang check at mabawi ang pera. kaso, di ko alam magiging effect kung tumalbog ang cheke pag natanggap na ng NSW yung check na yun. hmmm...

    Hi helo po, waiting pa rin kami sa assessments and IELTS results namin mag asawa kasi mag EOI kami separately para kung sino ang unang ma invite dependent nalang ung isa .

    I would like to ask your opinion about my situation. Not sure if this is too early to ask, but I will ask anyway hehe..

    My story is, meron akong dependents Tatay & Nanay, saka mga kapatid ko na ages 8,7,6 & 3 mga bata pa hehehe.
    Dependent ko sila, nakatira sila sa bahay ko, saka may proof ako ng monthly allotment sa kanila.
    If ako po yung magiging main applicant, pwede ko po ba sila isabay sa Visa application ko as my dependents? Or wag muna tapos pag na approve ako wait nalang ako ng few years tapos sponsor ko sila? Is it financially practical to include them now?
    If asawa ko yung maging main applicant, pwede ko pa ba din isali sa Visa application namin yung dependents ko?

    Gusto ko lang magkasama kami doon kasi nakakamiss tlaga pag malayo..

    could be but we will never confirm; my thoughts is that a lot will probably take long leaves during the holidays. will lesser CO to perform tasks and the applications keep on increasing, at some point it will create a mini-backlog.

    Share ko rin yung concerns ko sa ngayon...baka lang may naka-encounter na rin sa inyo ng ganito e hihingi na rin ng advise...

    Naka-receive na rin po ako ng invite to lodge for 189 Visa last Nov 15 pero hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin po ako nag-aaply dahil kulang pa yung ibang documents ng dependents ko, to be exact yung sa wife ko at 7-month old daughter.

    Eto po yung mga dahilan kung bakit naghihintay pa ako...
    1. Wala pa passport baby ko at kakukuha lang namin last Friday. Tip ko nga po pala don sa mga kukuha pwede po tayo mag-courtesy lane at mabilis po nila pina-process ang passport ng bata. Hindi kami pinayagan at first don sa dala namin birth certificate from our province kaya dali-dali ako kumuha ng NSO certified sa may MOA rin, 1-day processing sila don kaya mabilis. Suggestion na lang po ito don sa mga kailangan ng NSO certified documents agad-agad.

    2. Ang name po ng passport ng wife ko e nung dalaga pa sya kasi last year pa lang kami nagpakasal. Tanong: Pwede ko po ba gamitin itong passport na to pag-lodge ng application o kailangan talaga e yung married name na? Kasi po inabutan na po kami ng pag-fully booked ng mga appointments sa DFA at malamang e end of December na kami makakapila at makakuha ng updated passport kung sakali.

    3. Wala pa po IELTS ang wife ko kaya ire-register ko sya kanina hangang mainform ako sa IDP office sa Makati na wala na po slots available for December exam at ang earliest ay January 5 na. Isa pa po problema, ayaw ipagamit sa registration ang married name nya kasi sa passport nya raw e yun ang dapat gamitin (which is her maiden name).

    Kung sakali po ba pwede ko pa rin gamitin itong passport nya (maiden name) o kailangan na i-renew bago mag-lodge? Btw, meron na po naman kaming certified NSO certificate to justify our marriage. Pwede rin po ba 3-4 days after mag-lodge ko na lang ipapadala yung IELTS qualification nya...

    For Q2: i think i replied to query sa ibang thread.. it is okay to use her maiden name na nasa passport, marami po ang gumagawa nyan including those in de-facto relationship.. just attach your marriage certificate to show na kasal talaga kayo

    Bakit po kailangan mag ielts pa si misis? wala po ba syang certificate of english as medium of instruction from her college/university?

    congrats! so birth certificate na lang talaga kulang? tapos na PCC's and medicals? kung ganun...submit nyo na ngayon...baka visa granted na kayo by end of day today or tomorrow! :)

    Maraming Salamat po! ang mga Police clearances po from NBI at dito po sa Libya ay napadala ko na po sa aking migration lawyer, yun pong medical, dito po kasi sa Libya, the hospital that is recognized by AU government has no eHealth system. Ang pinagawa po ng aking migration lawyer ay to send it directly to her and she will take care of everything. Kanina pong umaga, yung email po ay asking my birth certificate.

    I will send the sealed results to my agent via FedEx and it will take five days to reach AU. Hopefully, the visa will be ready in 10 days.

    Here is my timeline with fees incurred :) 2012
    April 21- IELTS Passed (British Council Sg S$310)/ April-March -requirements for VETASSES, CTC 4 copies,DHL etc. (S$600)/March 19- Apply VETASSES online ($1150 aud)/June 06, 2012 - VETASSES (Architectural Draftsman) feedback positive /August 08- Apply EOI visa 190 at 70 points/September 11- Resubmit EOI (Was asked to change EOI form)/November 22- Apply for SS in WA (arch draftsman still available)/November 22- Resubmit EOI (changed the State from Victoria to WA)/December 05- Initial Contact by DIAC saying WA is interested./December 07- WA SS approved December 10- DIAC Invitation received (1 week down ecomm) December 14- Lodged Visa $3050aud (plus technical issues of ecom visa was "lodged" December 21 daw)/ Dec 28 - Medicals (frontload)/January 8 -CO Assigned/January 23-PCC/ JANUARY 23---VISA GRANT!!!!!!!!!!

    Ah FBI, did you apply already? This may prevent you from getting a Christmas gift na maganda from DIAC as I heard matagal daw sila dito eh...

    hi everyone! i am applying for visa subclass 189, how long does it take ba from the submission of all documents and medical will the visa be granted? i made a follow-up email with my case officer and accdg sa kanya, my husband and my health assessments were forwarded to the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth, it has been two months already since we had our medical in Nationwide Health system in Makati. Wala naman inadvise medical here for further assessment pero I was wondering bakit ang tagal feedback from MOC. My case officer said he is still awaiting health assessment before he can finalize our application.

    And does the notice for visa grant sent through email o is it posted?Nakakakaba waiting. I hope to hear from those applying the same visa subclass.

    Don't worry you are not alone... There is a separate thread for applicant who are pending their medicals; just like you some of them have waited for two months already.

    Visa grant is sent via email lang; the first email will be the cancellation of your EOI and the next is the visa grant letter with 3 pdfs... :)
