Friends,
I saw an article a few weeks ago that people over 45 years old are having difficulty finding work. I know age discrimination is common here in the Philippines and I thought this can also happen in Australia. I'd just like to know what your experiences are. Thanks!

i've worked in Australia before.. so far i did not see any discrimination on the above 45 yrs old... may mga contractors na na hire kami na ganoon ang edad.. im my opinion.. yung job opportunity still depends on the qualification pa rin...

hi! used to work with someone aged 65. he was a contractor and his contract was even renewed a number of times, making him stay in the company for almost a year. When the final renewal was served, he got another job with another company. it goes to show that credentials matter more than age here :)

There's this thing called fair go in Australia. As long as your skills and work experience fit the job description, you should be fine.

Nagiging factor lang ang edad (among other things like english proficiency & educ background) sa points tested visa.
