@athelene ung pag migrate ng family ko sa AUS saka ko na po plan yun. siguro if magkaroon na ako ng permanent work in AUS kung papalarin after studies ko.
My wife will work sa Pinas po. so ung income ko in AUS sa pag part-time iipunin ko lang then if may sobra ipapadala ko sa kanila. At the same time may guardians (in-laws) naman mga kids sa Pinas ko while working si wife sa Pinas din. So less worry.

@JillCyCian So you've really decided to change careers, or gusto nyo lang po na yun ang pathway nyo to a permanent job? At this point po kasi kahit later on nyo pa plano magmigrate, ideally ngayon palang iniisip nyo na kung paano ang pathway nyo to PR para strategic ang decisions nyo. If your family will be staying in the PH while you're studying, less financial burden po yun sa inyo habang nsa AU kayo, pero yun nga po mahirap pa rin ang mag-isa. Some people in the forums do suggest na mas ok kung kasama ang spouse para habang nag-aaral yung isa, pwede magwork ng full-time ang spouse, and makakatulong ito sa living costs ninyo pareho and your family in the PH.
Yung 20-hour work limit is usually enough for your living costs and some leftover enough for tuition (calculated from minimum wage); you'll have to check with your potential vocational school if parang fast-track sila (trisemestral in some schools) na maikli lang ang summer/winter vacations or not. Kung normal two-sems per year sila, you can work unlimited hours pag summer and winter breaks and dito ka babawi para makaipon ng pangtuition. Then once you graduate, mababawi mo din ang savings na ginamit mo for tuition kasi pwede ka na maghanap ng full time work.
TAFE stands for Technical And Further Education. MLTSSL stands for Medium- and Long-Term Strategic Skills List, which is a compilation of occupations that Australia is keen to fill.

@athelene Hi po ms. Athelene. Ma'am any suggestions po regarding sa change career in oz para sa pathway to PR? Is it possible na ma approve student visa kung ganito and what are the chances po.

@ChefMa Hi. The most popular occupations with pathways to PR are Accounting, Nursing, and Engineering/IT. As for career change, I think Cookery is a popular course. I've been to education fairs for Australia and there's always a culinary school trying to recruit students. The culinary school representatives encourage career-shifters to take culinary kasi in demand talaga sa AU, walang problem naman daw kung iba ang background mo before. When it comes to student visa though, depende na kasi sa SOP/GTE mo talaga iyon kung mapprove mo na makakatulong ang culinary degree for you. If you're in doubt, it might be a good move to have an agent assist you.

@athelene thank you very much for your inputs. Ako po change of career plan ko kaya I have to study in AUS. My brother will sponsor my studies (pwede naman po yun right?).
My wife naman po is no work experience since pagka graduate nya ng college. I think yung visit and work something ganon? May nabasa ako ung sa Northern AUS ang possible na magigig workplace nya right which is malayo sa Melbourne where my brother resides.
I think hindi ko na po option na isama muna sya. we can wait naman at paunti unti lang.

@JillCyCian If change of career po talaga, maybe it's better to study nalang and then nominate mo nalang po yung bagong occupation. But still, check mo po kung mas mataas ang makukuha mong points from your old occupation or from the new one.
I see.
What do you mean about Northern Australia being her workplace? If she has a student dependent visa, she can stay wherever you are.

@athelene so good pathway din po ang cookery for PR? Thanks maam

@ChefMa So far po nasa MLTSSL pa yung Chef occupation, so it's a relatively good pathway in my opinion. If you plan to go that route, I suggest to start your studies soon para pagkagraduate mo makahabol pa for PR visa application. Marami din kasi pwede mangyari in 2 years.

Hello po sa lahat. I have been reading this blog and been following through all your success stories here.
I am in need of some decent advice po regarding my situation. Hndi ko talaga maresolve dilemma ko ‘til this day. Enrolled nurse po ako sa SG. Initially Nursing assistant po ako then ive got promoted after more or less 2 years of service. Meron rin po ako experience sa pinas as RNheals nurse sa tertiary hospital but 2013 pa po un. Ive heard dapat recent 5 years daw po experience,so i really have to make a move na. Which path should I take po kaya? Should i try lodging my visa for bridging(DIY) or consult an agent po? Another option would be to take conversion course po,would that be a better option? If yes, need po ba ng Show money?:) Im in dire need po of help
