Hi guys! Im currently researching about australian work visa and happy to see that there’s a forum here dedicated for internal auditors.

I just want to obtain insights from fellow IAs here because I want to gauge my success rate rate in passing Vetasses. I am a PH CPA and I had two years external audit experience in one of Big 4 Firms. After that, I explored the internal

audit field and worked for a PH publicly listed company for five years. During those five years, I was able to obtain a CIA designation. Are my experience enough? And any tips how I can do well in presenting my credentials in Vetassess?

Ang 5yrs ay equivalent to 10 pts ka for experience. Kaya lang, ang labanan for invite kasi ay pataasan ng points. Depends sa overall score m. As of now 75 points (auditors) ang naiinvite sa visa 189. Btw, International certifications do not give you additional points. Akala ko rn nung una may edge k para mainvite kung may int'l certification, but unfortunately, no points is given for certifications.

You may also try to request for initial assessment from MARA agents para ma assess m kung ilan magiging pts mo (e.g. Respall, ACN, Reach out Migration, WOrld2Australia). Dont worry, free nmn initial assessment.

@Butterfly8i8 Hi, we almost have the same experience, it's just that I only worked for about 3 years in a publicly listed company after my 2 years stint in an auditing firm.

If it's just Vetassess, you will definitely pass with flying colours. But the real question is if you have enough points to get invited to lodge a visa seeing that the competition of auditors trying to migrate here is huge.

@misterV will the chances increase if 489 na lang yung aapplyan na visa (relative sponsored)? Conservative i can get 65 points, then meron pa +10 if rel sponsored and another +5 for my wife's skills. Iba ba yung cap for 189 and 489? Thank you!

Wala pa kami tinatake na steps, planning and research pa lang.

@nolramz Honestly I don't know. But based on what you mentioned above, you can get 80 points which I think is good enough.

Ang alam ko, priority is 189 first, then remaining slots, if any, are given to 489 (relative-sponsored). Much better ata chances if you apply for regional state nomination.

@nolramz it's hard to tell the chances. These days, given the competitiveness of 189 visa, I don't hesitate anymore to advice my clients to apply for 489. Just a note, 489 isn't only restricted to relative sponsorship, pwede rin regional sponsorship.

@RheaMARN1171933 thank you so much! If i may ask, whats the difference between regional and state sponsorship?

@nolramz state sponsorship means literally the state will sponsor you. It's a permanent visa and you have to stay in that state minimum 2 years. Regional area sponsorship is yung regional area within the state ang magsosponsor. It's a provisional visa so once you've satisfied the residency requirement you can apply for PR na.

@misterV thanks for the info. I tried the ACacia online point assessment and here are the visas im qualified with the scores:

    189- 65pts
    190 -70pts
    489 state-75pts

I think that’s the maximum pts i can get unless the following variables change: 1. English Proficiency from Competent to Superior, 2. Get married and obtain Spouse skills points. Lols..

Man.. with the competitive scores to qualify for invitation, I can only wish and cross fingers. Atm, I am actively searching and submitting CVs online hoping to get lucky to score an interview or employement. I feel a bit saturated here in PH and really looking forward for a diff lifestyle a new city can offer.. Lols

@Butterfly8i8 the best pathway is to pursue your GSM visa. Sending CV's in the hope of landing an interview/employment is really a long shot. Recruiters/employers will only usually entertain interviews when the applicant has work rights. Hope you'll find your way eventually. Best advice is to get started na with your skills assessment if you haven't done it yet. It won't be long until major changes happen again in July so the sooner you get things started the better for you.

Hello po. Nice to see an IA forum at Pinoyau.

Ask ko lng po for any opinion... It looks like my invite is taking too much time to arrive (at least for 190).

Lodged EOI for 189 (75 points) = 13 Nov (more 2 months now)
Lodged EOI for 190 (80 points) = 03 Dec (50 days now and counting each day)

Still waiting in vain as I write...

Could there be anything wrong with my EOI? Status is "SUBMITTED" though. I was told invite/pre-invites are through emails. But I am pretty sure I haven't inadvertently deleted any emails that could have come from NSW or SkillSelect.

Thinking of lodging another EOI with a new email (at least for 190). Any opinion guys, please... Appreciate it much...

@lipatbahay81 For 75 points po, DOE is 13 September 2018 for auditors, kaya don't worry. As to the pre-invite iba iba daw sya ng case so it depends with the state you applied at how long will it take them. If you already received your preinvite let us know.:)

@lipatbahay81 Same ako ng situation. November 25 ang submission date ko for my 190/189. I'm not sure what's up with the ITAs but I believe different siya sa External Auditor ITAs since meron silang sariling pool. Internal Auditors are pooled with other professions kasi in terms of invitations.

Let's just be hopeful and pray. :)

Hi guys, question. Example, kapag sinabi ba sa site na points score for 189 is 80 tapos DOE is Nov 28, 2017, does this mean na if ang score mo is below 80 and nagsubmit ka ng EOI before Nov 28, wala nang pag-asa mainvite?

@patrickcpacia I think what it means is as of that invitation round date, they only invited people with 80 points with the date of effect of their EOI being 28 November 28 2017.

But I guess it doesn't mean na hindi na sila mag iinvite ng applicants with lower points sa mga succeeding rounds. It can be na after that DOE (28/11/17), wala ng may DOE na 80 points and up so yung maiinvite is yung with lower points. It's all very circumstantial.

@Butterfly8i8 chances are low to be honest. The first they look at is if you have work rights with your visa and the fact that you don't, you'll highly likely get a cold shoulder. If you look at the employer/recruiters perspective, why would they waste their time interviewing someone they can't employ straight away due to no work rights. I'm saying based from both my professional experience as a registered migration agent and as working as manager in Australia and hiring people in my team.

@vhoythoy sir question po. For Vetasses, yung CIA designation certificate considered po ba as professional membership and should be disclosed in the License Tab of Vetasses form?
