@vindeezy wala pa ako sa NT. nagaantay pa ako ng visa grant ko. according to my research and pag tatanong tanong sa mga kakilala na andun. madami daw part time pede doon. meronako nag pagtanungan. 20 AUD per hour babantay ng tinda.

@cody on what visa kau? I did a research late last year for my application in NT as one of the requirement. cost of living for a single person averaging at 3500 a month excluding rent. This includes all like food, transpo, utilities, clothing and other necessities. Rent is at 300 pw average.

@cody haha! it wont be that much for sure. food can be shared, Utilities can be shared. if you know what I mean.. so it won't double that much. besides that's the average. if you check numbeo.com you can find some data there.

@cody hi just sharing my experience since im already living here in Darwin for 7 months.
Rent 250 a week studio type apartment (fully furnish)
350-500 two bedroom apartment depends on location(fully furnish)

ulity bills - i dont watch tv but i have computer that i use everyday plus the appliances like ref, stove etc. about 200 for three months. so every three months ang singilan dito ng bills
water kasama na sa rentals ko un bayad
internet fibre Dodo - 69 amonth but I signed up sa Telstra kahit medyo pricey.

i dont have a car because i rent in cbd and my work place is walking distance.

so malaki na titipid ko sa transpo. once in a while i go to the mall which is sundays but i just ride the bus. 3aud for two ride pag within 3 hours ka sumakay but beyond 3 hours you have to pay again.

the most i spend is for food. i really dont go out as much but maganda naman mag park with friends paminsan minsan. i also indulge to eat outside paminsan minsa mga 15-30 per meal which is not bad; im really on tipid side because i have to save.

so you can do the math on your average consumption.

Hello po sa mga taga Darwin at NT mag-scout lang po sana ako kung kamusta ang job market ng instrumentation/PLC/SCADA folks dyan baka po kasi di namin maabot yung 491 requirement.

Hello po. Bago lang po ako dito sa forum. Would like to know some info about Darwin. Currently on Student Visa dito sa Sydney. Planning to shift course and move to Darwin kaso may mga gusto po akong malaman since I have experienced yung hirap ng paghahanap ng work dito sa Sydney, marami po bang pwedeng part time jobs po diyan para sa mga under ng student visa? Any important pointers na kailangan pong i-consider before moving there? Salamat po in advance.
