Finally i am now in Darwin, may alam po ba kayo pde ko mabilhan ng sasakyan na mejo mura, wala kase public transpo sa papasukan ko na work eh. Thanks in advance sa sasagot.

Hello Everyone, lucky to found this Darwin forum, hope you can help to advise what's the best approach to apply for PR using NT state nomination in short period of time. Upon my own research, im thinking the pathway of student visa for 2 years and then 190 but this approach will take to stay commitment of 5 years in total in NT. Im also thinking the pathway of 491 but there is a requirement of secured job employment upon arrival. Any advise guys? I saw some people before that applied for 489 (old 491) manage to get into NT even if no employment yet (maybe not required during that time). By the way, my background is accountant here in PH as well as cpa au associate member w/ more than 10 years exp. Thank you so much for any advice you can offer.

during my time we are not required to submit proof of employment. Only job ads that our nominated occupation is being advertised.

Accountants are required to have a job offer before they can apply for 491.
Student visa is another way but not advisable as rules are changing anytime, but up to you if you want to gamble.

maraming salamat sa info. baka sa apartment muna kami para mas marami rami nakatira kaysa bahay na nakahiwalay haha.

I had a chance working in SYdney for 1 month. I dont like it. Its so busy. Cost of living is expensive. traffic. If you want an affordable rent you have to find location na 1-1.5 hours away from the cbd.

Walang traffic. sa case ko i found work right away. depende din siguro sa work experience. as external auditor in demand dito. accountants prefer nila may local experience. ayaw kasi nila magturo pa. gusto nila alam mo na agad pag nag join ka. nun napunta kami dito di ko worry and trabaho. una isip maka pasok lang sa Australia. I will start from scratch if i have to or change ng line of work maka hanap lang ng work experience. luckily i still found a job that i in line sa field ko.

Good day po, i would like to ask for your insights and advise, san po ba area sa Darwin ang medyo safe pag stayan for Family with small kids. gaano po ba kataas ang crime compared to Pinas.i mean sabi sa news not that safe. pero paano or ano po area kaya ang safe at pano ano po bang advisable na paraan lalo na sa mga first time sa Darwin or sa mga balak mag apply.
san pede location na less crime or mas madami pinoy na makakasama at mahingan ng tulong. syempre kahit gusto na namin mag apply to Darwin pero dahil nga po sa balita ng safety medyo nakakabahala.

for external auditor na recognise naman nila work experience ko from previous firm. No issues. Local experience meaning Au work experience. they are not keen to teaching you kasi dito. dapat pag hire ka nila you know how to do the job na.

When i applied sa Darwin ng sponsorship hindi ako nag worry sa crime rate. Kasi kahit san naman may ganun. just follow the rules ka lang kahit san you will be fine. tsaka kong time mo na kahit san ka pa mapunta diba.
point is just go with the flow wag advance mag isip. if decided kayo na Au will give you better life, go for it kahit san part ng Au... its worth it. based on my experience.

we initially settle down sa City para malapit sa school at work. when decided na mag Au dami din ako nabasa na di naka kuha agad ng work and other stories. sabi ko im willing to take kahit ano job basta sa Au at hindi maubos ipon. make sure lang talga prepared kau financially, emotionally, sporitually morally at ko ano pang ...ally haha

Thank you po for sharing your thoughts and your experiences. Abangan namin ang Au journey nyo para habang waiting pa kami to open borders may mga idea na kami kung ano ang dapat gawin. Au is worth waiting for. nakaka excite lang lalo na mabigyan ng chance and basta para sa mga kiddos. 😊
