Hi Guys! Newbie Here.

I was assessed by Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist.
My problem now is I am lacking points. I gained 55points + 5 points (if granted a State Sponsorship)
Taken English Test IELST Twice (Naka 6 naman per band sa 2nd take thats why naka pag pa assess ako sa EA)
Taken PTE Exam (but kulang ako ng 2 points sa listening, 63 lang score ko)
Planning to Take another PTE Exam here in Abu Dhabi.

And now me and my wife are planning:

Now gusto ng wife ko mag pa assess sa CPA Australia kasi Graduate xa ng BS Accountancy sa Univeristy of San Jose Recoletos sa CEbu. We requested sa school nya ng Syllabus pero ALL subject description ang binigay. Okey na ba yung dosument na yun for the assessment.
HIndi po CPA (Certified Public Accountant si Misis sa PH). Makaka affect po ba ito sa assessment nya, if hindi xa CPA sa pinas.
Need ba or advisable ba na mag migration agent for the assessment for CPA Australia.
And ano po mga requirements para sa pag papa assess sa CPA Australia.

@mcril22 she doesn't need to be a CPA in pinas. she only has to have the educational qualifications that would be equivalent to oz's and if included in the assessment is employment, her actual job/work should be that of an accountant (general or management) or auditor

@mcril22 may mga non cpa nkakuha din ng positive assessment. Make sure lng na complete ang documents, grades and section ng school helps also.

With regard to using an agent, its all up to you, kong masipag k mag research at magbasa ng mga dapat i submit do it your own.

If you don't have time for that let agents do it for you.

Hello guys! Good Morning! Ask ko lang po, recently meron ba sa inyo na invite as Accountant (General) at 75 points? at Engineering Technologist at 65 points?

I already submitted an EOI thru my agent last Oct 2017.
For my wife, is it okey for her to submit an EOI also? We are not planning to have an agent in her case and process docs with our selves.

My wife was assessed as a Accountant (General) [ANZSCO 221111] by CPAA and got a positive feedback for her qualifications (school credentials) & 10 years work experiences.

I was assessed as an Engineering Technologist [ANZSCO 233914] by EA and got a positive feedback for my qualifications (school credentials) & 5 years work experiences.

My wifes points:
Age: 25 Points
Englsh: 10 Points (PTE ACADEMIC)
Qualification: 15 Points (BS Accountancy)
Work Exp: 15 Points (10 years - Assessed by CPA)
Partner Skills: 5 Points (Husband - Engineering Tech - ANZSCO 233914)
State Nomination: 5 Points (Hoping: NSW - SUBCLASS 190)
TOTAL POINTS: 75 POINTS

My Points:
Age: 30 Points
Englsh: 0 Points (Competent English)
Qualification: 15 Points (BS Mechanical Engineering)
Work Exp: 10 Points (5 years - Assessed by EA)
Partner Skills: 5 Points (Wife - Accountant (General) - ANZSCO 221111)
State Nomination: 5 Points (Hoping: NSW - SUBCLASS 190)
TOTAL POINTS: 65 POINTS

Hope you can give some pointers, suggestion so we can start the process na.

@mcril22 mas mataas point ng wife mo. I'm wondering bakit hindi sinuggest ni agent na si wife ang main applicant? also the agent should have suggested or at least check kong pede mag claim ng additional 5 points for partner's skill. Are those options been discussed by your agent to you? If not, I could be wrong, baka isa na naman sa mga nakaka inis na agents si agent mo na instead na mapadali ang proseso e napapahirap pa.

Actually kong may agent ka those questions above should have been tackled already by your agent.

Actually ako yung planned na main applicant kaya ako yung nauna mag ayos ng papers at ako yung naikuha ng agent.

Been discussing this with my agent but they wont answer unless we book my wife for another payment for the agent. Using agent is expensive kaya balak namen this time with my wife hindi na gumamit ng agent kaya dito kami nag aask sa forum.

@mcril22 that is ridiculous. I'm telling you your agent is just milking you. sila pa nga dapat ang nag susuggest kong ano mapabuti sa apply nyo. hindi yung peperahan kau. Kasi kong assessed na si mrs mo pede na mag claim ng partners skill (subject to category ng occupation though). pero dapat isang package lang kayo kasi isang family naman kayo, hindi per head. Aling agency ba yan. that's against code of ethics pati.

Its just not practical na dalawang apply kau ng mrs mo. Dalawang EOI. dapat kong sino ang may higher chances na ma invite due to higher points sya na ang main applicant. nakakabanas agent mo ha. hehehe!

@mcril22 NT is the only territory open for 190 nomination. You might want to consider 489 for SA, high points required (80) which I believe she’ll meet.

@RheaMARN1171933 onga pala nag baba ng to 80 points si SA(South Australia) it was 90 before.

@mcril22 mkikisagot lng, tama c @batman ndi dapat another payment yung sa wife mo, pipili lng dapat ng may mas mabilis or malaki ang chance sa inyong 2. Sa case ko po, inilipat sa akin ang pgiging main applicant dahil ndi maasikaso ni hubby ang english test bec of sched pero no addtl payment ang siningil s amin.

Bayad n po b kau sa initial part of fee? Perhaps you should consider getting another agent.

@mcril22 tama sila, best case is to let wife apply, let her take the PTE and aim for superior for better chance.

@mcril22 I never charge professional fee per individual kapag mag asawa/family. We usually keep options open regarding who the main applicant will be. If there’s a need for another skills assessment, we do charge additional for admin lang. so I think if tama intindi ko on how you describe your agent? I will query it with them.

@batman actually ako pa nga nag iinitiate sa kanila na i update yung eoi KO to put partner skills ni wife so I could claim an additional 5points.

@Pixiepie for my case, bayad na po ako ng initial part of the fee (prior eoi lodgement). Will talk to my agent first kung ano man before we make a decision at sayang narin ang naibayad na.

@RheaMARN1171933 actually kami na nag process para sa assessment ni wife ko sa cpaa. Naka tipod tipid, positive naman lahat feedback cpaa. But yung pag paprocess ng para sa eoi, nagbigay na agad ang agent ng quotation for processing of my wifes eoi/visa lodging. Actually, aware naman si agent ko na family kami kasi initially stated ko na yun and yung service agreement namen sa quotation nila naka quote nadin yung prices ng visa application ng main applicant at dependents. Although wala naka lagay na specific na family.

@mcrill22 nkabayad n po pla kau, no choice na din. Go n po kau sa current, unless may mkukuha kaung mas mura n agent to break the loss. Medyo nkkinis lng agent nyo.

Ang prob po dyn, you have to maintain good relationship with the agent khit naiinis n kau. Maybe @RheaMARN1171933 can offer a lower fee

@RheaMARN1171933 @mcrill22 @batman Hi guys, ask ko lang po if free pa din migration assessment fee kay CPAA if member ka and nagbayad ng full year membership fee last Feb 2018? I tried po mag fill up ng form for migration skill assessment, pero nun nasa 8 page na nun form, nakalagay po un 473 AUD na fee. I thought free sya for member. Also, alin po ba dapat ilagay na test result reference number sa migration assessment? Is it Reg ID or Test Taker ID. Thanks po!

@kiel0128 for me wala ako idea if your a current member. Yun wife ko kasi Nag pay for migration assessment (school credentials + skilled employment). Di ko alam if kasama na din ang membership dun. I will ask her and let you know soon regarding sa process and how much yung ginawa nya sa cpaa.

@mcril22 thanks po. Member po ako since feb 2018 and nagbayad lang ako nun for application fee and membership fee for whole year. Ask ko dn po alin un ref ng test result ng pte nilagay ng wife mo for english reqts. is it test taker id or reg id.

hi @mcril22, kakatawag lang sakin ng cpaa regarding sa migration assessment fee, nag end na daw last year un waived fee ng migration assessment. need to pay full 473 aud. regarding sa pte ref number, use reg id not test taker id.

@mcril22 @Pixiepie well, it’s not about just the rate. It’s also about finding the right agent who you think would be able to take care of your case properly. Kung lower rate nga, poor service naman, no point. You’ll feel naman the integrity once you speak to the agent.

Regarding mcril22 case, they’ve got an agent already, I don’t really meddle with these things. My only suggestion earlier is to clarify with their agent.

@mcril22 hi mga Sir paadvise po sana ako..ang ipapaasess ko po sana kay EA is Engineering Technologist..Alangananin kase experience ko para sa Professional Electronic Engineer (4 years a Electronics , 1.5 sa telecoms pero assistant role lang). Question lng po, e aaprove din ba nila yong education ko as bachelors degree (15 points)? may nabasa po kase ako na diploma lng ang binigay pag Engineering Technologist. May PRC po ako at yong school po nasa section 1 din.. Or kailangan ko po mag pa assess initially as Professional Engineer tapos si EA na ang mag aadvise for Engineering technologist. Ang worry ko lang po baka ma approved yong professional Engineer pero instead na makapagclaim ako ng 10 points s experience magiging 5 nalang..Sana po may makapag advise ano best gawin..Thank you po..

@Kcm hi. Sa case ko, nag pa assess ako ng production engineer although electronics engineer ako.. pero engg technologist ang assessment ni EA sakin base na din sa mga project na prinesent ko sa assessment.. meju technical kasi at hands on field work ung projects although pwede ko pa din i ituloy ung production engr pero need palitan ung projects.. advice ko is kung electronics engr ang ipapa assess mo, make sure na related tlga ung projects mo sa electronics engg na field.dont worry sa role mo.ang importante, ur practicing the engineering work na showed nmn sa projects.pero pag sa tingin mo, ung projects na isusubmit mo is more inclined sa technologist, then dun ka magpa assess.

@Kcm just try first na ipa assess mo kung ano yung current profession mo like yang Professional eLectronics Engineer. the results will depend on how you show yung duties mo thru CDR (competency demonstration report). Discretion na ng EA if ma assessed ka as Professional ELectronics Engineer or gawin ka nila ENgineering Technologist or may iba pang skills na match sa pinakita mong CDR s kanila. As for me that time, nag pa assess ako as professional Mechanical Engineer but yung assessment nila sakin is Engineering Technologist base dun sa CDR na pinasa ko.

@ivandemarco This is very well noted po..Sa kadalasan din nabasa ko dito is initially nagpaassessed as Professional Engineer pero si EA na nagdecide sa Engineering Technologist..Thank you so much
