@edybear : I have the same problem din. Spelling! I cannot remember naman during the actual exam if I did any misspelled words. Twice tlaga ako nag take an dI have the same scenario. 78-80 naman overall score ko. yung spelling lang tlaga. Totoo ba talaga yung backspace? pangatlo ko na mag take, napapagod na ako.

@edybear Sana mag work sakin to. Ang laki nagasto ko na dito. Pa lipadx2 ako ng ibang state just to take the exam. (90 naman mga written, speaking ko sa spelling lang tlaga. Pa tulong po if how accurate ang backspace theory.

Backspace theory? I think myth lang yan, sa experience ko dami kong backspace para macorrect yung grammar and spelling ko, going by my scores ko wala syang effect. for me, focus lang sa basic english skills, time management, and structure ng exam, stressful enough na yung exam, no need to add more stress because of myths na di naman proven.

@adamwarlock Hey adam! I cannot recall any misspelled words during the actual exam especially the essay part. maybe the WFD pero i don't think ganun naman ka grbe. All my pte mock tests from test A to C, i never had any spelling scores less than 70.

Hello po, Ang tataas nyo sa speaking. Ako 3x na nagtake ng PTE , speaking ko yung pinakababa. Hanggang 44 lang yung mataas na nakuha ko. Gumagamit naman ako ng template yung kay @Heprex and @batman . Pwede bang makahingi ng sample recording ng retell at repeat sentence. Thank you!

@spencer0731 My speaking, oral fluency and pronounciation was also 90. You have to speak loud and clear. Maybe use the extra 30 seconds to read it all over before the recording begins.

So I took the final mock exam last night..
kKonting push pa para maabot ang 79++ each band..
Sa Wednesday na exam ko
Amazed lang ako sa speaking ko kasi consistent 90 ang score ko kahit may P and F/V and B problem ako hehe

@yvescampos, I'm really sad to hear your struggles bro. Just to give you comfort and cheer you up, nka 12 takes na dn ako pero di ko pa din makuha superior. Nkaka burn out tlga pero laban lng. Haha. No way of backing down kahit maka 100 takes pa, si LORD magpprovide ng pang exam.

Just to give you my opinion in Spelling, sa daming takes ko na, may mga idea na ako kung pano naggrade yung computer kaya i share ko yun esp. sa Spelling since required ka sa Enabling Skills sa case mo.

Sa Spelling, myth yung backspace. Nakadami ako ng backspace but I still got 90 sa Spelling (please see my last 3 exams scores in attachment)

Try mo ito to improve yung Spelling score mo ksi ito yung ginawa ko para maka 90 sa Spelling and 79+ sa Writing:

1. Try mo mag dagdag ng ilang intricate words sa writing tasks mo kahit ilan lang (make sure di ka ma out of context or topic) Ex. elucidate, confabulated, axiomatic, etc
2. Try mo mag lagay ng academic words (wag ma out of context or topic)
3. Gamit ka ng connectors like firstly, moreover etc.

Yun, kpg nagawa mo yun without gettin out of context na vocabularies and words, pasok sa banga yan for sure.

Note:
* Yung exam ko nung 07052018, di ko na reach yung WFD, ni isa sa WFD di ko naabutan dahil sa time management issue, not sure kung yun yung reason kung baket 76 Spelling ko, pero evident na mababa tlga Listening: 55 at Writing: 61 kpg di kayo nakaabot sa WFD.

@Supersaiyan Hello! thank you!, I did not have any issues with my writing. I got 90 for written discourse and 73 sa communicative then the second time was 81 and 75 respectively. I don't see any connection if we add connectors, maybe in the grammar part but i don't with spelling issues. Natapos ko yung dalawang exam and I reached the WFD part but my spelling score is 40's despite numerous edit ko to make sure everything is right. The first time my score was 43 in spelling. I thought maybe there were some spelling errors during the actual exam. However, during the second time, I made sure everything is right but my score went down to 40. Sometimes, I wish I just took toefel even a lot of people say mas mahirap. Nakakainis na.

With listening-- practice lang tlaga and focus. Struggle din ako sa part na yan because most of the time mga "in", "on" , "for", "she". mga common errors ko which I think na affected din sa spelling score.

For writing purpose po kung kaya ko sinama si connectors sa tip ko, since oks po pla kayo sa writing scores nyo skip n lng po.

For spelling, yep, actually, if you are aware, after March 19th, kung mapapanuod mo yung youtube videos ng ilang PTE gurus, you can see na duon maraming student ang nagiistruggle to get high marks sa Spelling sabi nila, since nag update ng system si Pearsons and not sure kung parallel update ang gnagawa nilang scoring ngayon for Spelling scores sa mock exams. On my point of view, di mapapataas yung Spelling score sa kung gaano kagaling mag spell lalo na kung simple words lng like dog, boy, etc. I think and I guess (based on my personal experience sa dami ng take ko ng actual PTE after March 19th), iniiscoran yung Spelling score mo sa kung gaano ka kagaling gumamit ng intricate words without gettin out of context and how you spell those intricate and academic words correctly. For me, sa sarili ko lng, proven ko na yun at yun ang mdalas kong mapansin. Hehe. At the end of the day, it's up to you po if you'll give a try or not. Basta po give your best shot always and don't give up. God bless po.

@ced, yup, ifoforward ni pearson grade mo no matter what scores you got. Di nman masyadong big deal since di nman ata papansinin ni DHA yan unless nag lodge kn ng eoi/visa. I sesearch nila by registration id, based sa pnrovide mong registration id kpg naglodge kn ng eoivisa.
