it's up to the discretion of the CO, but they do check on some cases.

1. Do they check with current and also with previous employment?
I only have one employer ever since.

2. What questions were asked?
They asked if I am indeed an employee of the bank. They faxed also all the documents that I have submitted with company letterhead, pina-authenticate. They introduce themselves as from the AU embassy here in Manila.

3. When to expect these checks?
After CO allocation.

4. Is it a mandatory check?
Parang hindi, marami rito ang hindi naman na-job verification. Feeling ko kaya ako vinerify kasi ang job title dito samin ay very generic against the actual duties and responsibilities that u r are doing. Sample, IT officer1,2,3,,etc pero peude kang analyst, programmer, sysad. Yung ganun tipo.

makikisingit lang sa ako hehehe... pano yugn mga naka stat dec.? tatawag ba ang DIAC sa dun sa person na pumirma ng Job Description or mag veverify pa din sa employer/HR na gumawa ng COE?

didn't you provide them with employment certificate with detailed duties and responsibilities? para i-check pa nila?

@Gori : I provided it. Bale 2 kasi sinubmit ko. Isang galing HR (containing generic title, annual gross amt & benefits) tsaka ung isang COE with my actual job title eto na ung may duties and resp ko.
Gaya nung explanation ko sa una,,ung job title from HR,,ang nakasulat is IT Officer1,2,3. Ung galing sa dept namin, un actual job title ko n as sysad.

gusto ko sana malaman kung posible ba na pati ang previous employers eh tinatawagan, meron akong 4.. and im afraid na baka yung mga ni-reference ko from the COE eh wala na dahil ni-request ko yung COE years ago pa

@Gori actually hindi alam dito sa dept namin, sinikreto ko lng dito sa isang boss, sa kanya ako nagpa-pirma,,hehe..medyo close ako. mahirap namang mag-announce ng wala pa db baka maudlot pa.

@Gori sakin ng check ang CO ko sa dating work ko nung 2007 wla na rin mga boss ko before na pumirma sa COE ko

I received a call today, I think she's not my CO parang pang lalake kasi name ng CO ko and girl yung tumawag hehe... nakakatuwa din at nagpa-connect sya sa receptionist namin to talk to me and ni-ask if she can talk to our HR, sabi ko hindi alam ng HR namin na may visa application ako and she did not insist naman, need daw nya kasi i-verify yung pinrovide ko na employment certificates and nagkataon na naka-block leave ang manager ko na hiningan ko ng COE before... so she requested for their emails nalang to contact them.

hello.. meron ba dito sa inyo na nagsubmit ng COE na di alam ng HR dept? kasi yung company ko now sobrang higpit and im sure pag malaman nila na may balak akong umalis ng company pra di nila ako issupport so d na ako nagtangka humingi ng COe. ang ginawa ko, since may access ako sa letterhead at stamp eh naggwa ako ng COE (totoo lahat ng details) at sa senior/supervisor ko pinapirma. pumayag naman sya. yun nga lang, yung pinaka-boss tlg namin, di alam na gnwa namin yun. mejo worried ako na baka tumawag sila sa landline at yung manager ko tlg makausap. im sure idedeny ng manager ko na dun ako work kc ayaw nla ako paalisin. meron na ba senyo na same case? medyo kabado kasi ako e.

@keribels : dont worry, ganyan din case ko. sakin naman, ung HR namin, di sila nag-iisue ng COE na may job description. ang binibigay lng nila is COE na similar sa binibigay pag nag-aaply k for credit card, ung may annual gross amt computation at benefits. nagpa-pirma din ako sa isang supervisor dito samin, ung talagang boss namin d nya alam. hehe..medyo hesitant din cyang pumirma nung una kasi nga bka malaman nung boss tlaga namin...cyempre bka maging issue pa. basta hindi ka ide-deny nung pumirma ng COE mo, ok yan.

papayagan k naman cguro ng boss mo. hindi naman nila matatapatan ng promotion ang opportunity mo to migrate.

did they also contact your previous employers?

@Gori yes I think so, yung nakausap ko kasi from OZ commission she also asked the email add of may previous employer way back 2007, so binigay ko naman sa knya... then today my current manager updated me that someone contacted her from DIAC and she verified the details she signed in my COE

contact nla tlg ung landline ng company or ung ref. person lang? kc yung ref. ko, suportado ako. yung manager lang tlg ang kontrabida..

@keribels kung contactable naman yung supervisor mo na nag sign ng cert most likely sya ang directly ang tatawagan or email. In my case kasi naka-leave yung manager ko na nagsign the time na nagverify kaya tinanong ako kung how about our HR daw... and just like you manager ko lang din ang nakakaalam, hindi din alam ng HR namin and ng iba sa office... ginawa ko inabisuhan ko yung mga managers (current & previous na ka-close ko) na anytime baka may magverify from DIAC just to remind them just in casenakalimutan na nila since last year ko pa pinasign yung detailed COE.

@keribels sa case ko din ngresign na yung president na pumirma sa COE ko pati ung mga managers sa dati kong company so ang sumagot ng mga tanong ng CO ko eh ung HR ng sister company. Sabi nya vinerify lang daw ung nakalagay sa COE na sinubmit ko. Tpos after nun hiningan nlng me ng COE ko ng other documents like ITR, SSS contribution and payslip kya much better na iready mo nlng ung mga documents na nasabi ko just incase hingin din sau

@keribels cguro naman ung tatanungin ang pumirma ng COE mo. did u provide their contact details? mas ok cguro un para direct silang tumawag dun sa pumirma. sakin kasi hindi ako nakapag-attach ng calling card. nalimutan ko. eh ung nasa letterhead namin, trunkline nakasulat, kaya cguro nag-land sa HR ung call. isa pa nga meron din kasi akong binigay na document galing HR.

in my case.. may mga reference letters din ako from my previous supervisors/managers na sinama ko sa stat dec ko.. kasi yung mga COE ko alang job description lahat kasi gumamit ng generic template sa company namin.... im planning to send a note sa mga nag provide ng reference letters ko pag may naka assign na CO na.. just to make sue na maalala nila yung mga sinulat nila ... :-)

negotiate this with your CO if he/she needs documents... no choice here but to communicate this to your CO.

i think kung mag-stat dec ka, very important itong ITR or payslip. pano naman sila maniniwalang true ang claim? kasi everyone naman can write a reference to anyone. but then, how will you prove na totoo nga iyon db. you still need to attach something that will make your claim strong.

Pwede kaya yung last 3 jobs ko na lang ang i declare ko since wala na kong ITR/payslips nung mga previous jobs ko? yun last 3jobs ko kasi from 2001-up to present e may mga CoE ako. Thanks guys for your help.

pwede naman po cguro yun. coz technically, 8 years of experience is all you need to get the maximum points. just be ready to explain lang in case tanungin ng CO kung bakit may gap between your graduation date and the first declared job.

@sportster uu puede un. ako kasi before itong position ko na pina-assess, ung first position ko with the company is IT din pero not sysad related. nakasulat yun sa resume ko pero di ko n sinali sa pina-assess ko. ok naman ang assesment, no questions asked.

Thanks Guys! Medyo na relieve ako ng konti..hehehe..by the way, nag freelance IT consultant din kasi ako so medyo matagal tagal ding panahon yun siguro mga 3 years pero related naman sya sa job ko ngayon as IT Admin. Pwede ba yun ma count? Thanks again guys!
