mevofmevof SingaporePosts: 12Member
Hi, meron po ba dito narefuse ang student visa while in Australia? May chance po ba na maoverturn and decision kapag nag-appeal? Hope to hear your experience or advise as i am torn whether to file an appeal or go home. ☹️

@MLBS Mainly GTE po. Also, we found out that the agent only submitted passport copy, GTE, COE and health insurance. No other supporting documents were attached to the application.

It would also help to provide more details, like ano yung course na balak nyo aralin, is it relevant to your work, funds etc.

@MLBS circumstances in home country, value of the course and migration history - was in australia early this year for vacation and came back this September to pursue studies - inadvise po kami na pumunta na lang dahil mas madali daw kasi kapag nagapply onshore than offshore. Wrote own GTE and iedit na lng daw ng migration agent pero for some reason hindi din naedit. Ending hindi naconvince si CO. =( if ever po ba mag appeal and icontinue ang studies, would it give better chances to be approved?

Theyre offering free consultation. Although not sure if kaya nila mag ayos ng appeal or you need to restart and submit another application through their agency. Same situation po tayo na on 2nd visit nag apply onshore and nagrant naman po yung sakin. Although it took a month para magrant

@sydney_sydney Noted. Thank you thank you. Masaya ako para sa iyo.

I chose to seek advise from a migration lawyer instead. Free consultation din. Hehe and ang sinabi, if appeal tapos tuloy tuloy na aral, i will have better chances of winning. Chos. -na maapprove un student visa OR reapply but i have to go back home kasi hindi pwede onshore reapplication.

Medyo too good to be true kaya d ako naniwala. Ano opinion nyo dito guys?

@mevof Why not risk nyo na po iappeal onshore since andito na rin lang po kayo. Try to consult more than one agency po, wala naman pong masama hehe. Ang alam ko po as long as maprove/ masagot nyo lahat ng nasa gte reasons of refusal mukang wala naman pong magiging problema. Best of luck po sainyo:)

Unrelated education and work background sa kinuhang course. Applied on shore on second visit :) not really sure lang po kung how true na malaki chance of approval, i guess nasa gte content po talaga nakasalalay.

@sydney_sydney Wow! Pwede pong pabulong kung ano agency nyo dyan? Hehe! I've been to Au na din. Wala pang 10k one way.

@VegeMate hi san po kayo sa aus? I can refer you po sa agent ko, from AECC Sydney sya nakabase. Sa tingin ko po yung pag apply on shore is not a big factor of approval, more of an advantage lang din po siguro para sayo na makakapagstay and study ka na while waiting for approval and also pwede syang iappeal if incase narefuse unlike offshore na no choice ka but to reapply. Ang advice ko lang po is magpamedical na kayo jan if nagpplan kayo mag apply onshore para makamura kayo hehe. For me talaga yung sa gte content po ang pinakamahalaga and good thing sa aecc nagbibigay sila ng format / questions you need to answer on your essay para talaga masagot lahat ng pwedeng ibato sayo ng immigration.

@VegeMate regarding show money po, pinaghanda lang po ako just in case hingin ng immig and tinanong lang kung magkano amount ng bank account na magsupport. Di na po ata nirerequire ang showmoney for ph passport holders regardless kung onshore or offshore. Not really sure about that pero in the end di po ako hiningan ng bank statement.

And may kilala rin akong nareject. For me worth it naman mag onshore kasi yun talaga gusto ko i mean magstay na dito since andito mga kapatid ko, pero if wala po kayong pupuntahan sa brisbane na kakilala and willing mag shoulder/magsupport sainyo while waiting for visa approval i suggest na mag offshore nalang po kayo, kasi while you are waiting for approval di ka naman pwede mag work, unless mas cash on hand ka pero very risky since nakalodge ka ng visa for approval. Nope di po ako uni :)

@VegeMate kung ang concern nyo po is kung malaki impact ng onshore application sa approval, no po. Sa gte/sop po talaga and supporting docs nakasalalay.
