De Facto Visa - No statements from parents.

Pwedeng from other family members or kahit friends.

Per the Home Affairs website, evidence may include but is not limited to:

    Social context, such as:
-evidence that the couple is generally accepted and recognised as a couple socially such as joint invitations
    -evidence of common friends
-assessments by the couple's friends and family of the relationship
-joint travel or joint participation in sporting, social or cultural activities.

    https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/corporate/information/fact-sheets/35relationship

For my case, my partner & I provided stat dec/affidavits just from close friends.

@seestra but were you still approved po? we have multiple statements from friends and workmates. Kaso yung agent namin eh nirerequre kami na mag provide ng parental consent na inaallow kami ng parents namin to live together even if we're already way above the age of consent.

@hersheythegreat Yup, approved naman. I guess the agent is playing it safe. Just tell him/her na you can only provide a statement from your gf's parents, on top of the statements from friends & workmates na sinabi mo. That should suffice as evidence ng social context of your relationship.

kami din we didn't provide any statement from parents regarding our de-facto relationship. una dahil may anak na din kami. strong proof, joint financial accounts ( bank statements, superannuation beneficiaries, stocks etc), utilities ( rental agreements, phone/internet billings, water/electricity billings under your name. Kami in addition, we provided a joint statement on how we met, our current arrangements and how we will be maintaining that relationship moving forward.

@hersheythegreat I agree with @agentKams with everything listed. & same here, we provided a joint statement ng "lab story" namin kumbaga hehe. As in detailing how we met, how we spend time together, trips together with family & friends, san kami tumira together & for how long, mga joint ventures, pati kung pano hatian ng responsibilities & chores. Gumawa pa kami ng parang album ng pictures namin together, kasama family & friends, with a short description of when & where they were taken.

I think if you provide such a statement, with supporting documents, malaki chance na i-honor ang relationship nyo.

@seestra @agentKams my partner and I are both in our 20's, pero we have been living together for 2 years na but overall 3 years na talga kami together. Medjo hesitant lang kami kasi malaking pera mawawala if ever mareject.

@hersheythegreat Yup, there's always that risk of course. But if you provide everything that's required, in an organised manner, I think malaki naman chance na ma-approve. Marami nang naging successful na visa applications with de facto partner. Think about it, make a checklist, see what you've got already, and assess.

You've got a lot of resources & help available to you from this forum, dito din kami nag-refer & nangulit for answers noon, so if you have doubts or any more questions, just ask.

    Good luck!

@hersheythegreat Hmmm... I’m not in the position to say. I can only base on my experience, friends’ & maybe a few others na nabasa ko dito. Ang masasabi ko lang is COs are usually logical sa pag-assess. As long as you provide the documents required, mataas ang chance na ma-approve. Kung merong mang unclear or kulang, they will let you know.

@seestra ah, so hindi naman sila agad agad magrereject ng application once they see na kulang ang documents :)

@hersheythegreat kung alam mo palang kulang iyong evidence why just provide them all. if you know all the required docs stated sa visa na iapply mo, provide and exhaust all you can. rather than wait for CO contact. kadalasan, sa student visa dapat front loaded na lahat else visa refusal. Nasa inyo kasi iyong burden of proof kasi nga kayo ang visa applicant.

@herseythegreat Nothing is guaranteed naman kahit may parental sign off kayo. There are more factors that are considered for a de facto visa. Hindi naman pwede ipilit ng agent niyo yung statement from your parents e hindi nga sila approve sa relationship. And their disapproval does not mean the relationship is illegitimate. Maraming ibang ways to prove the validity of your relationship.

Hello po! Question po, yung bf ko currently studying in Monash. Nagapply po ako ng student dependent visa. Nadecline po kahapon kase hindi daw solid proof na naglive in kame. We provided joint account statement and our domestic partnership certificate, pics, convo, plane tickets, fb post, stat dec from friends. Kaso wala po kameng lease of contract. Hay! Need daw po nun. How soon po pwede mag reapply from the time sinend yung refussal letter ng immigration?
