    Thanks @RobertSG. Uu nga eh, yun nlang din inisip ko. Na di ko nalng isali. Bale pang 6 years ko kasi ung 6 months na yun. Just in case diploma ang ibigay sa akin tapos ang ibigay na assessment is not closely nominated yung occupation sa course, sabi ko baka kelangan ko ng 6 years (Group B). Nagtuloy naman ako sa Degree course after 5 years kaso ung school ko eh Lyceum kaya Sec 2.
    @jaja_ajay - first, can you specify your college degree and your nominatedskills for assessment? baka makapagbigay ng linaw ang ating mga ACS experts..

    kasi kung basis lang eh yung EOI point system, ang increment ng points for work experience is 3 yrs, 5yrs and 8 yrs... so 5yrs or 6 yrs will have the same points..
    so if its a big hassle for you just to get the documents for that 6 months, don't waste time on that..

    otherwise if its a requirement for ACS assessment, then you really need it..

    @lock_code2004. Thanks for your response. Magulo kasi talaga. hehe. Inisip ko lang na subukan ko muna ang ACS. Bale kasi magTRA assessment sana ako for ICT Customer Support Officer. Pero nakita ko sa job description ng Immigration eh somehow hawig ung job description ko sa Network Admin. Dahil ACT (Canberra) lang ang open for ICT Customer Support, dun ko naisipan na magpa-assess muna sa ACS kahit paano eh sa South Australia ang Network Admin. (Problema ko kasi sa State Sponsorship ng ACT eh need ng evidence na available ang job na ICT Customer Support sa kanila, kaso upon initial browsing and observation sa jobsites for a month, wala naman ako makita na opening talaga kaya inisip ko bka di ko maprovide ung requirements nila na at reference ng available jobs.)

    Breakdown:
    6Months Network Admin (Sa School)
    9Months Exp as Technical Support
    2Yrs Exp as Helpdesk Support
    2YRs Exp as IT Support
    1YR Exp as Desktop Support (Present)

    Kaso yung degree ko kasi magulo din.. Bale, 2Yrs vocational course ng TESDA (Programming). Then after 5 yrs, itinuloy ko ng BS Information Technology sa Lyceum pero under ETEEAP (CHED Program) which is 1 year lang natapos. Bale, pinakasafe route is to go for TRA Assessment kaso problema ko nga ung avialability din ng job sa state na open ung ICT Customer Support.

    Kaya inisip ko, sa ACS, bka Diploma lang ibigay sa akin at pag na-assess na "diploma is not closely related" dun sa nominated occupation, requirement is 6 years.. Kaya yun, ung dilemma ko. haba ah. pacencya na. hehe

    @jaja_ajay - okay..

    1) based sa sinabi mo eh considered IT degree naman ang course mo, programming from BS IT.. so it's highly possible na macoconsider ng ACS ang degree mo.. at baka nga hindi mo na kailangan ang 6 yrs (for non IT related degree).. Just to give you an example BS ECE is considered an IT degree, what more pa kaya kung Programming + BS IT.

    2) now, for your nominated occupation, okay at least alam mo na ang mga job description ng ANZSCO Network Admin vs ICT Customer Support.. so based sa job description na makukuha mo with your COE, kung alin ang pinakamalapit, un ang inominate mo..

    3) Both of these skills are in CSOL sched 2, kaya kailangan mo talga ng SS.. dahil main consideration mo ang South Australia SS, na sabi mo eh Network Admin nga, make sure na dapat align ang job description ng mga COE mo sa Network Admin..

    Thanks @lock_code2004 for the clarification nung Qualification. Yun lang talaga inaalala ko.. Kasi pag pumasok nga siya as Degree, hindi ko na kelangan yung first job ko. :)

    @jaja_ajay - i had my first assessment for Business Analyst (4 yrs exp) thru ACS.. pero negative ang result dahil ang Industrial Engineering is not considered as an IT course..

    so then i had to do assessment again for Engrs Australia, this time for IE talga..

    if you browse ACS website, may guidelines sila how to check which degrees considered IT course ... something like % of total units should be IT related subjects.. but im sure Programming +BS IT is definitely an IT related degree...

    @jaja_ajay, sa case mo state mo din na yung signatory nung affidavit mo eh a former colleage/Director during nung time na nasa kanila ka, then lagay mo lahat ng possible contact nung dating director mo, if in case sya ang tatawagan at hindi ang school, if ever tawagan man yung Head Office baka to verify lang na nag exist yung school/work mo dati and yung director is a previous employee.

    Kung madali para sayo ang kumuha ng signature nung dating Director mo, I think walang problema, kasi sya ang haharap sa lawyer during sa signing ng affidavit.
    @legato09, for affidavit, bago ba pirmahan ng colleague mo dpat ba present yung lawyer? di ba pwd pirmahan ng colleague mo yung affidavit, then pa-notary public after?

    @lock_code2004, uu nga specified sa ACS na at least a "minimum of two equivalent full-time semesters of ICT content". Since ETEEAP ako ang nsa TOR ko kasi eh ung 1st sem,general subjects lang, tapos ung 2nd sem is mga ICT subjects. Pero meron akong 2 yrs programming course as backup. Kaya itutuloy ko na lang nga yung ACS assessment baka iconsider nila ung qualification ko.. :)

    ilang units lahat lahat yung vocational mo saka yung tinuloy mo na degree. (meron pala ganun and ang bilis nya natapos, puede sya sa mga aspiring vacational grads na gusto maging bachelors). Kaya ko po naitanong eh makikita nyo po sa ACS kung ilan ang required units and ofcourse grade sa pagkakaalala ko.

    May mga certificaitons kaba na pasok sa requirements ng ACS?

    correct me if im wrong, you got your BS IT degree for 1 year, because they credited the 2 year programming course mo diba? so parang lumalabas na 3 yrs ang total duration ng degree mo..

    You might AS WELL add any documentation regarding "ETEEAP" para di malito ang assessor ;-)
    accreditation and equivalency yata ang correct term..
    kung sa Australia, they call it as RPL - recognition of prior learning..
    so i assess nila ang previous courses, work experience at skills.. tapos kung anu lang ang kulang yun lang kukunin mong additional subject/s... kumbaga eh parang nag-shift lang sya ng course...


    oo nga, may annotation ba sa diploma/TOR mo about ETEEAP?

    uu.. parang RPL nga... hehe.. nakalagay sa TOR ko ung ETEEAP and ung explanation about dun.. tama po si lock_code2004, previous course, work experience, IT certs ang iaassess nila then ung kulang na subjects at ung final project ang ginawa ko for one year..

    okay.. thats good.. atleast alam nila kung anu yun..
    so for your application, very important na:
    - ung job description sa COE mo matches your ANZSCO nominated occupation
    - include all your diploma/tor and other related IT certifications
    - may nabasa ako dati na pwede mo din ilagay ang IT project/thesis mo sa school especially kung related sya sa nominated occupation mo

    of course dapat swabe ang mga documents/proof mo dyan..
    check the CTC requirements sa ACS website..

    I actually have every "anniversary" week marked out on my calendar, so I guess shift to x+ 2 more weeks then.

    @tin0712 hi.. welcome to the forum..
    my guess is, yes.. you will need RPL...
    mainly because your BS BA degree, will not be considered as na IT degree..

    im sure, you have read the ACS guidelines on how they determine which degree is considered IT or non-IT..

    so with your RPL, + 8 years of IT work experience, papasa naman yan sa assessment..

    thanks lockcode...additional question regarding statutory declaration..yung previous company kasi namin di nagbibigay ng detailed coe so ang ginawa namin nagprint kami sa ordinary paper(no company letterhead) tapos pina-sign namin sa ex-manager namin will this suffice or need talaga ng statutory declaration na document

    medyo mahigpit daw ang ACS regarding sa documents.. kay dapat affidavit po ang gawin nyo..
