System Analyst 261112 (non IT Grad)

kwonshinheekwonshinhee PhilippinesPosts: 12Member
Hi guys, just lodged / passed requirements for ACS assessment this week (May 31st). Non IT grad ako, they needed 6 years of experience. Respall is lodging for me (availed their services). Sabi nila pwede na daw, so I took my chance, but of course I have my doubts bilang non IT nga ako haha. Any tips or similar cases with you guys? Meron ba sa inyo nag try mag 189 using system analyst occupation pero non IT?
thanks!

If you have a non ICT degree with 6 years work experience, you can apply for skills assessment through RPL (recognised prior learning) and that's what your agent is doing for you. Now with your question on the 189visa, whether you have an ICT degree or not has no bearing. As long as you have a successful outcome on your skills assessment and have enough points to qualify for 189visa subclass, you should be fine.

@kwonshinhee Just sharing my experience -- non ICT grad ako then applied for ACS skills assessment for ICT security specialist.

I submitted RPL, then ACS claimed 6 years of my work experience (10 years total ko). so less than 4 years lang naclaim ko na points which is 5 pts minimum. My ACS result did not mention anything kung ano equivalent or comparable ng degree ko. Per my research, pag non ICT grad ka talaga, minimum 6 years experience kukunin ni ACS sa RPL mo so yun matitira lang pwede mo claim points. So I don't think you need to go to VETASSESS if you are non ICT graduate, i've read some questions on other threads about this.

Your skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 262112 (ICT Security Specialist) of the ANZSCO Code.

The following employment after December 2012 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 262112 (ICT Security Specialist) of the ANZSCO Code.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the noob question. I just got my ACS results today and I think I failed. I was able to get a message saying that:

    - "Your ICT skills have been assessed as unsuitable for migration under 261112(Systems Analyst Code). of the anzscode."

-"Your bachelor of science in business mgmt from De La Salle University completed May 2012 has been assessed compared o an AQF Bachelor Degree with insufficient computing content and therefore does not meet the requirements of the ACS as stated in the policy manual."

To give you a brief background of myself, I'm an IT project manager with 4 years of experience.

Hoping for your suggestions and tips on how I can re-appeal this with ACS.Also, what actions can I do in order to solve this.

Additional Info, kasama po ako ng partner ko for his application for visa 190 /189. Siya po ay Software Engineer with 10 yrs exp with positive ACS assessment result.

    Thanks,
    P

@pmond You can still apply through RPL, do some backread as per @von1xx or you can search online to gather more information. Goodluck!
