You must
- hold a subclass 457, TSS or related Bridging visa A, B or C
- usually, have worked for your employer for at least 3 years full time while holding a subclass 457 or TSS visa
- have been nominated by an Australian employer whose nomination was approved in the 6 months before you apply
Medyo open to interpretation yung second requirement because of the word usually. It would seem that it is not a hard and fast rule that the employee has rendered 2-3 years of service to qualify. I have read somewhere (can't seem to find the link as of the moment) that as long as the employer nominates the employee and the nomination is approved by Home Affairs, a 186 visa can be granted.
Skills assessment is still necessary.
Direct entry would be possible with a new employer (I think).
