Western Australia State Sponsorship

Hi. I am just wondering why I couldn't see any discussion about WA. Is there anyone here tried to do it? Would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

Sobrang konti ng iniisponsor na occupations ng WA for 190, and yung student sponsorship din nila has very high requirements, such as finishing bachelors degrre or higher and having a job offer. Mas madali pa mag apply ng 189 in some ways e.

@aicee yep tama ka ng interpretation. At di basta bastang qualification a, dapat sa university ka mag aaral ng 2 years, at dapat bachelors, masters or doctorate. Very expensive and impractical when you can claim pts from other options

    Hi all,

I have a question with the WA GRAD STREAM.

I am confused re the 'work experience' waived for graduates who studied a masters degree for 2 years. But to get a positive skills assessment from VETASSESS on the nominated occupation, 1 year work experience post qualification is needed.

Confusing kahit may 1 year contract na and doesn't matter if the WA masters degree is not relevant to the occupation.

Can you still lodge an EOI without a skills assessment from the assessing authority? All requirements are supposedly met except for the no work experience.

Question is rather quite confusing to be honest but you cannot lodge without skills assessment proof.

You need to be here to secure a job offer. They would seldom offer someone a job who is offshore and of course doesn’t have working rights unless they badly need to fill in the role, in which case they’d likely sponsor you instead. You can come here on a student visa and try your luck applying for a job. A lot of people do that. The Covid pandemic temporarily removed the work restrictions of students so you can do full time work at the moment and prove your worth to the company.

Hi Sir @matthewoz, is this applicable in all parts of WA, including Perth? I'm about to study in Perth on the first quarter of 2023. Will definitely try my luck to acquire an eng'g job months after I get there. Sir, do you think it's possible to be sponsored by the company which would secure me a sound PR visa 2 years after my studies?

    Hi Matthew,

So it means, acquiring a student visa in WA is the recommended pathway? 😵
