1) PR sponsored by an employer.. it can be your current employer.. or any employer willing to sponsor you for the same job code/nominated occupation.. most employers wait for 2 years before they want to sponsor.. of course, kasi ayw nila mag take ng risks.. and they have to see that your skills are really needed in the company..
2) you apply on your ownt thru the whole EOI Skillselect process, of course you need to have your skills assessment, IELTS and atleast 60pts..
you choose what is best for your, if you apply on your own, of course you have to pay for it.
mas walang kaba, kasi alam mo na, na umaandar na papers mo..
si @TotoyOZresident po... 457 to PR (employer sponsored) and now a citizen..

Ako nag-hintay na lang ako ng 1 yr bago ako nag-apply ng PR 'tas after 7 mos, grant na yung PR. Madali lang naman mag-PR basta kumpleto lahat ng papers mu, at ma-meet mu yung minimum requirements nila (ielts, occupation demand list, etc.)

I need some advise on how to go about applying for PR while in 457 visa.
1. Meron po bang specific number of days, months, etc bago ka makapag-apply ng PR?
Answer: a) Kung ang location ng work mo ay hindi regional wait ka pa ng two year bago
ka eligible to apply for Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186)
b) Kung location ng work mo ay regional after a year eligible kana to apply for
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187). Obligation is, you have to
stay in your employer for two years after your 187 PR visa was approved.
2. Dapat bang antayin ko na lang ung after 2years for my company to sponsor me and my family? Concern ko lang is pabago-bago ang policy dito sa AU lalo na dumadami na rin mga expats dito.. kya mdyo parang nauudyukan na kme mag-apply ng PR at the soonest..
Answer: Dipende sa napagusapan ninyo ng employer mo noon bago ka mag work sa kanila. May mga ilan na 457 visa holder hindi pinangakuan na iapply sila ng PR ng employer. Yun ang malungkot ang chance talaga magka PR ay sponosr ng employer. Kaya blessing sa atin kung ang employer natin ay handa mag sponsor ng PR visa. I search mo sa immi.gov.au kung yung location mo ay regional o hindi. Kung napag kasunduan ng employer mo na in-sponsor ka at ang location mo ay hindi regional, dapat ka mag hintay ng 2 years para ma-qualified ka makapag apply ng ENS 186 PR visa. Kung regional naman mag hintay ka after a year then gumawa ka ng letter sabihin mo dun na eligible ka at gusto mo mag apply ng RSMS 187 PR visa at kausapin mo din.
3. Has anyone been sponsored sa forum for PR from 457? how long was the processes? Please share your experience.
Answer: a) Yung sa akin 857 visa na sa ngayun ay 187 visa ay = 6 to 7 months inabot
b) Nasa priority group ang 186 at 187 visa. Processing time both ENS 186 and RSMS

Basta pagbutihan ang trabaho at maganda kung minsan nagkwekwentuhan o naguusap kayo ng employer. Kung maganda ang inyong performance sa trabaho hindi magdadalawang isip na sponsoran kau ng employer for PR visa.

ayon po sa aking pag aaral (naks!)
ang 457 visa po ay temporary working visa lang, meaning pwede kang lumipat ng employer as long as yung bagong employer mo ay willing kang sponsoran sa visa na hawak mo. Dalawa po ang pwedeng patunguhan ng galing ng 457 na gustong magtransit to PR. visa 186 ay employer nomination scheme kung naka 2years ka na sa employer mong yun at gusto ka nilang gawing permanent employee na, yun ang kukunin nila. visa 187 naman ay regional, pareho lang din kung galing kang 457, the difference is, dapat sa regional au ka lang magwowork meaning di ka pwede sa major states like sydney, melbourne, gc, brisbane etc. Also, kahit po hindi dumaan ng 457, pwede kang sponsoran ng dalawang visa na yan even if you are outside au kung talagang kailangan ka nila at papasa ka sa skills and qualification requirements.

sad to say, kung employer sponsored po ang target natin para maPR, need talaga nating magstay ng minimum 2 years sa employer para masponsoran nila tayo ng PR visa. Ito rin ang gumugulo sakin ngayon kasi gusto ko ng maging PR bakit kamo? i find it hard to find a new job kung maghahanap tayo ng employer na sasalo sa 457 visa natin na willing magsponsor. I've been here nearly four months now and tinry ko na ding magapply sa ibang company although pasado ako sa kanilang qualification and sometime exceeding di naman po sa pagmamayabang, ang hinahanap nila eh mga PR na. Bakit ulit? kasi hindi po lahat ng company eh approved sponsor ng 457, marami kasing requirements para pumasa sila bilang sponsor ng 457 isa na dyan yung threshold ng company gross income nila na something million aud/year so kung maliit ang company, hindi sila qualified and yung iba naman, walang time o ayaw dumaan sa proseso ng pagkuha ng 457 sponsorship.
I'm currently studying on how i can get a PR visa as early as possible. Sa ngayon ang nababasa ko pa lang ay dadaan ka ng skillselect skilled independent o visa 189. Mas madugo na proseso at mas mabigat ang requirements. update na lang ako sa post ko pag na confirm ko na. Salamat po sa pagbabasa naway makatulong.
