All applicants applying to have their skills assessed by Engineers Australia are required to provide an evidence of their English language competency in their application unless they are eligible for an exemption.

From 1 October 2017, if a suitable English Test result is not provided in the application at the time of lodgement, it will be requested by the assessor. Failure to provide a suitable English Test Result within the imparted timeframe (usually 1 month) will result in the application being closed as unsuccessful.

Please include your English language test result in your application.

It depends, if English isn’t required during skills assessment, I usually advice my clients to prioritise the assessment and deal with English later on

Question lang po regarding skillselect. Pwede po bang magsubmit ng EOI to multiple states at the same time (Ex. 190 sa NSW, 189 sa melbourne)?

@Pherds yup 2 separate EOI sya. So bale 2 EOI log in ID maccrreate mo, isang 190, isang 189 or pag 489 kung meron ka/.

Hi @jaaarman - please see below as a guide.

(1) If obtaining a Statutory Declaration or Affidavit outside Australia, please refer to an Australian Embassy or the legal standard of the country in which you are applying.
Usually hanap ka muna ng lawyer na nag stat declaration then ask ka ng format nila (minsan may template na sila ipopulate mo nalang - and as mentioned above - they usually ask san mo itong bansa gagamitin)

(2) Read carefully sa guidelines ng iyong assessing body in connection with creating an Employment Reference Letter (not COE) + stat declaration. Make sure na all the required information are captured dahil kapag nag pa revise ka ng stat declaration e may additional bayad iyan.

(3) I follow mo lang iyan sakaling wala kang mareceive na sample SD dito sa forum. Marami din sample sa internet na you can check for your reference para you can move forward na.

Hi Miss @ms_ane , Thank you po.. sakto po nagawaan na ako ng team leader ko ng stat dec.. ang prob ko na lang po is san makakapag pa CTC ng docus and the same time notary nung stat dec ko dito sa Makati.. and question lang po.. ung for Diploma po ba kahit wag na ipa CTC?

Questions po.
1. Applying for Quality Assurance Manager. Have 12 years experience as Quality Control Engineer in the UAE and 4 years experience as QA/QC Engineer in the Philippines. Should i include my work experience in the Philippines in my application?
2. It's a norm in the Philippines to "frame" our diplomas once we graduate. Aside from Original Transcript of Records, does VETASSESS require diplomas as proof of academic qualification? My diploma is already somewhat damaged due to being kept in a frame for a long time, having stains/water marks and other blemishes.
3. Should i make the Statement of Service long or be concise and straight forward?
4. For payment evidence, are payslips enough OR should i add a bank statement aside from the payslips?

Trying my luck and doing it on my own.
Medyo costly kasi if i were to seek an immigration agent.

hello! its usually specified in the skills assessment requirements for your skill.
Usually mga medical related skills need ng academic for example.

"Provides services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency and accounting information systems; and advises on associated record-keeping requirements. Registration or licensing may be required for certain services such as auditing."

Hello! heres the basic process for subclass 189 application;

1) english test
2) skills assessment
3) EOI
4) Visa lodgement (after being invited)

step1/2 will vary depending on the skills you are applying.
ACS (Aus Comp Society) for example do not require an english test for skills assessment
EA australia (engineers) requires english test as part of skills /qualification assessment

Thank you @jkk32w Opo Accounting graduate po. Yung nireview ko po yung job desc ng Gen Accountant, 85% naman po nasa actual JD ko. Worry ko lang po kasi accounts payable lang yung sa kin, just one side of accounting. Not sure if they will weigh my case by job title or by job desc.

- Consider only the last 10 years of relevant experience for assessment.
Year 2009-2019. If yung experience mo for Pinas is before 2009 e di na yun need.

- Consider requesting for a new diploma copy sa school mo. Then if gusto mo iscan mo pa din yun luma. Should not be an issue as long as makita yung details na need makita.
I am not sure sa requirements ng VETASSESS kasi sa EA ako nag pa assess, pero there should be a detailed guideline online on the documents needed to support your assessment. Read carefully para you know for yourself na nadaanan mo lahat ng need malaman.

- read sa guideline on what information are needed. as long as nailahad mo na ang lahat ng kanilang dapat makita to support e should be ok. basahin mo yung job description ng iyong nominated occupation and make sure na you meet the criteria. not to say na 100% tally dapat ano pero alam mo iyon, kailangan mo mapatunayan (truthfully) na you have the experience as per your nominated occupation. mas maganda na sigurado.

- payslip, bank statement, ITR ( tax documents) - na reflected yun name ng company.

mas kumpleto ang documents, mas ok. The goal is to provide ang mga relevant documents to support your application. having these documents ready and submitted does not put you on the spot sakaling bigla kang hingan ng VETASSESS ( na usually bibigyan ka lang ng ilang days to complete after mo makapag submit ng application mo). Dapat handa lahat. Read more sakaling feeling mo kulang pa ang kaalaman, lalo na if DIY ka. Kailangan lahat nabasa mo, dahil mahirap magkamali. Wag mahiyang magtanong, para we can share what we know, or redirect you to the sites na makakapagbigay ng sagot.
Tandaan na each application is different, and it doesn't mean na if nag work sa amin e mag work din sa iyo. Always do what is correct lang din, para alam mong nasa tamang path ka.

Salamat po ng marami ms_ane! Ilang beses ko na pong paulit ulit na binabasa ang requirements ng VETASSESS. Nakapag take na rin ako ng PTE-A exam just to make sure kahit di kelangan sa VETASSESS.
Hopefully by the end of this week makapag pasa na ako for assessment. May ilang documents pa po akong hinihintay at kukunin like bank statement and employment contract ko from my present company.

Question po uli. Going back sa sinabi nyo na i include ko lang yung work experience ko from 2009-2019, kelangan ko rin po bang alisin sa CV/Resume ko yung work experience ko sa pinas? Di ba sila magtaka na vacant ako mula pagka graduate ng college (Y2002) hanggang early Y2007 kung kelan ako nakapag simulang mag work abroad?

Gano po katagal ang processing times for 189/190? Let's say we already filed EOI and ang points eh nasa 80. How long should we wait for ITA? And then after that, yung processing time naman from ITA to Visa? Salamat po sa mga sasagot. We are also doing things on our own and we want to check yung preparation time for migrating to Au.

job desc should satisfy the skill you are applying for, my job title before was never an 'engineer' but i was positively assessed as a qualified engineer based on my experience , detailed on my cert of employment. it has to match the job desc of a 'general accountant' here. IF a general acct in australia has to do more than accts payable then your current task will not satisfy the requirement im not an accountant so im not too familiar with the exact 'general accountant' qualification in australia , other than the one stated above, yan ang magiging guide mo im sure maraming general accts nakapag apply na dito, they should be able to help and give u more details

- sama mo lang din sa cv mo ang lahat ng work experience mo like how you would prepare the usual cv (kung saan naka reflect lahat).

@kiteano yung last ITA August 10 2019, 100 lang ang binigyan ng ITA which the points ranges from 85-100, wait natin ang official na info ng Home Affairs. Regarding sa occupation nyo at sa estimated ITA refer to Iscah na site.

For 189 po the current processing times is 7-8 mos pero pag complete docs naman at walang CO contact is around 2-4 months ( sa time ko to, mga previous months pero ngayon medyo walang buhos ng grants, baka madami pending/ backlogs)

Sa 190 visa naman 10-15 months ang nasa website ngayon pero minsan napapaaga. Saan stage na po kayo ng application nyo? Goodluck!

@gmoly12 hello. mas tinitingnan nila iyong job description, roles and duties. So if you can ask your supervisor to sign your statement stating all your duties relating to the JD nung general accountant, there is a possibility na maconsider iyan. ako finance officer iyong position ko sa work ko here in australia, but most of the duties na andun sa anzsco ginagawa ko except auditing positive naman result nung assessment ko.

i see, generally for vetassess since it does not require any english test for skills assessment, you take IELTS general which will be used only at the time to lodg ean EOI.

Usually ang specific type ng IELTS is specified for those skills that needs english test as a requirement of skills assessment i had a vetassess skill assessment before for an HR skill and i took IELTS general and used this to lodge an EOI., I got invited for visa 489 though dko tinuloi kc i decided to get another skill assessment for engineering skill. I used the same IELTS general sa assessment sa engineers australia.

eto nkalagay sa IELTS website-
you are required to do an English language test for your visa or study application? You’ll have to decide on IELTS Academic or General Training. Which test you need depends on what you want to do. You can do the General Training test for migration purposes. Most universities in Australia will ask you for the Academic IELTS test. The organisation where you plan to work or study sets the requirements.

All third party Statutory Declaration or Affidavits must include one of the following as supporting
evidence: (these must be in relation to you, the applicant and not the declarant)
• Certified copy of payslips – preferably first & last payslip for the employment period
• Certified copy a Human Resource statement or Service Certificate with employment dates
• Certified copy of a Termination Letter with employment dates
