Nakakuha ako ng work after 9 weeks sa Adelaide. Nasa line of work ko talaga yung nakuha ko na full time job. Yung ibang makikilala dito will be very encouraging pero meron din mamemeet na medyo nega.

@maguero ano po usually interview questions? same po ba sa pinas yung pagiinterview? sobrang formal po ba? ano po attire nyo during interview as in coat and tie?

@ali0522 Mas relaxed yung mga interviews dito. Usually may 3 parts yung interviews - kailangan mo idiscuss how your skills address the main requirements for the position, tapos may situational-behavioral questions, tapos tatanungin ka if you have questions.

For the first part, I suggest i-save mo yung job ads para pag nainvite ka for interview pwede mong aralin yung ad ulit and practice mo kung paano mo ieexplain how your skills can address the requirements.

For the second part, Google mo lang common behavioral interview questions and practice answering them. For example tatanungin ka Can you tell me about a time that you handled a project that didn't go as planned, how did you handle the situation?

Pag tinanong ka if you have any questions make sure you ask. Magprepare ka ng mga pwede itanong. It shows you're interested in the company.

Depende siguro yung attire sa company. Wala akong napuntahan na naka coat and tie. Pants and long sleeves lang.

Hi po sa mga members on this thread. Will be having my big move this Feb 28. Just want to open up I feel discouraged kasi I am applying here sa Ph for a job position in which 90% suits my credential for the job opening from a Tier 1 Transportation Consultancy Firm in NSW. I am a Highway Engineer by profession po and already had two major highway projects locally in NSW (though I am based sa Ph while on the project).

Take note ko yung Melbourne, Sydney and Bisbane na cities.

    Hello.
I read mga comments here and I saw mas OK makahanap ng work if nandyan na sa AU right?
I'm really a beginner and plans to work in Australia. I'm in sg but my contract will end this month so il babalik na ko ng Pinas next month.

Ask ko lang, if ever I try to go AU and look for job as walk in, kahit gaano katagal mag stay pwede?
San din pala mag stay? If wala akong relatives dyan?

@Wytm Malabong makahanap ng trabaho kung walk-in ka & wala kang visa na may work rights. Kung pupunta ka rito on a tourist visa, wala yung work rights so malamang hindi ka ieentertain ng employers. Ang usual options to live and work here are the skilled immigrant visas (189, 190, 491), work visa (482), and student visa. I suggest you read up on them sa AU Department of Home Affairs website and then decide ano mas pwede sa iyo. May mga threads dito for each of those visa options as well.

Depending on which state ka mag aapply required ang job offer. If that agency can find you a company that will offer you a job then ok but i guess at a price.

actually medyo pricey nga siya. if yun kuhanin namin, we need to save pa for our pocket and budget money pag nandun na. though yung offer ni agency is meron ng lodging, ayusin rin nila mga medicare, tax identification, bank accounts. but upon checking and researching kasi, kaya naman daw gawin yun on our own. parang babayaran lang namin yung peace of mind namin.

actually medyo pricey nga siya. if yun kuhanin namin, we need to save pa for our pocket and budget money pag nandun na. though yung offer ni agency is meron ng lodging, ayusin rin nila mga medicare, tax identification, bank accounts. but upon checking and researching kasi, kaya naman daw gawin yun on our own. parang babayaran lang namin yung peace of mind namin.

Anong agency sya? At magkano? Tignan nyo nalang mabuti kung legit yun agency.

hi, my boyfriend and i are planning to work and migrate in aus. mga 3 years na rin kami. upon consultation sa isang agency, pasado siya for 190 visa and ako ang dependent niya. pero yung agency kasi na yun, sila na magprovide ng job offer sakanya. pinagiisipan namin if kuhanin namin kasi medyo malaki yung bayad or tyagain nalang namin mag-apply. hmm.

    @shizuoka2020 magkano sinisingil ng agency?
