$4500 dollars is some kind of a consultation fee, she is an immigration consultant

@cristinemichelle - hi.. welcome to the forum..

    1) for sure na-orient na kayo ng agent kung anung mga visa types available
    - RSMS- regional, dun lang kayo pwde tumira and magwork
    - State Sponsored - state restricted, di pwede lumipat ng ibang state
    - Independent - pwede kahit saan sa AU..

    2) now, next thing is to look kung nasa SOL or CSOL ba ang nominated skill nyo
    - kung nasa SOL, pwede kayo sa Independent visa 189
    - kung nasa CSOL Sched 2 , applicable kayo sa SS visa 190, or RSMS (eto yata ung 489)..

    3) check nyo po ilang ang total points nyo according to SkillSelect Points system
    - pass mark is 60 pts
    - may several options on how to get additional points
    - like magpa-assess kayo both sa EA (additional 5 pts for spouse)
    - IELTS score na 8 - is equivalent to 20pts..
    - etc....

may separate thread for Engineers Australia Assessment..
    - basic requirements
    - IELTS
    - CDR
    - COE- with job description
    - Diploma/TOR

@cristinemichelle - identify your nominated occupation... check SOL or CSOL.. and the assessing authority will be listed there..

example: Vetassess, TRA , ACS, Engrs Australia
    - google their website and check their assessment process
    - or check their specific threads here in the forum..

    - just like my first suggestion... estimate nyo po muna ang total points nyo..
    - dun naka depend kung pwde ba kayo sa independent, state (SS) or regional (RSMS)

    welcome po sa forum...

to answer your question, mas priority ang CSOL.

CSOL - mga occupations na kailangan ng state sponsorship ang mga occupation na nandito sa CSOL sched 2)- visa 190 or visa 489, ang restrictions for this visa, you need to live and work for 2 years in that particular state (for visa 190) or regional area (if visa 489)

SOL - if your occupation is here, this is for independent skilled migrant visa applicants -Visa 189, you can live and work anywhere in AU..

now which visa fits you... depende po case nyo (occupation, work exp, ielts, total points)..

    hello. question po.
currently on a 457 and inaayos ko na sana ung PR ko. problem is, wala na sa SOL ung skill ko but in CSOL, so pede ako mag-lodge ng 190. Kaso upon checking WASOL (skills list ng Western AU), ung particular skill na yun, wala na sa list nila.

    1) Tama ba na even if I submitted EOI, malabo na maselect paren ako for SkillSelect right?

    2) Nakausap ko ung HR namin and willing naman sila to nominate me for that skill (though I need to fund for all my visa fees) -- eto ung RSMS Direct Entry Stream. If through that, need pa bang magsubmit ng EOI? Anyone knows kung ano steps pag RSMS DES?

    Thanks!
