Ask ko lang po kung meron pong may experience na BIM modeller/ drafter na nag positive sa assessment and na ITA na.. ask lng po sana ano ung best suitable nominated occupation? Asking for guidance and help lang po. Thank you.

Tanong ko rin yan dati at wala akong makuhang info or same people na ganyan ang focus ng role as occupation.

So to share my experience, wala pa kong ITA, currently EOI pa lang. I successfully got a positive assessment from Vetassess. I am currently a BIM Manager and for 8 years, I have been continuously involved in BIM Industry so yung description talaga ng roles ko puro BIM.

At first worried talaga ko kung mag popositive mainly because walang ano man nabanggit na BIM practices sa lahat ng ANZSCO na chineck ko. Was originally thinking na mag apply as NEC (Not Elsewhere Classified) pero parang di rin tugma based sa ANZSCO description nila. Anyway I applied for Architectural Draftsperson kahit heavy sa BIM description ung Statement of Service documents ko. Fortunately, mukang familiar naman ung nag assess so i got a positive assessment.

Pero before this, kahit marami na satin familiar sa BIM, ang advise nila is to apply as Architectural Draftsperson (or Civil, Mechanical Draftsperson - depende sa focus ng BIM mo) then modify daw your SoS/CoE na magmukang exactly like the ANZSCO description. You may choose this, less risky. Hindi ko siya nagawa kasi 5 companies ang kelangan kong i-convince para mag fit sa ANZSCO description so impossible for me. They gave me my real role at yun na yung pinasa ko sa Vetassess for assessment.

80 points? Same here, sana dumating na rin. hehe. Congrats, recent lang sayo. Sayang di ko nakita profile mo dati nung naghahanap rin akong info about BIM occupation, although mukang sa Civil yung focus mo.

archi and civil actually kasi sa main contractor ako nagwowork
napili ko lang mag push thru ng civil kasi open sya sa visa 190-Victoria (preferred state namin) and visa 189
nung time na applying kami, Tasmania lang open sa Archi Draftsperson ehh

Thank you po sa help.. @barryco .. bali yung nilagay nyo po na description sa COE and position ay bim related works and bim manager/bim coordinator, respectively? Bali sang state na po kayo nag pa nominate sir?

Hi guys, hope you are all well! Good luck sa application Krizzia. I also have experience in BIM and different 3D software in the oil & gas field. My background is electrical engineering and most of my experience are in the oil & gas projects as electrical engineering. My first submission to EA was electrical engineering draftperson but I received a notice and they suggested that I go for engineering technologist. I revised my case and got a positive outcome in engineering technologist.

Hi @money_engineer , I used to work in a Shipbuilding Company as a Ship Design Staff under Piping Design and as a Drafting Specialist in an Offshore Marine Engineering company in Singapre, we use different Programs like Autocad and PDMS for designing Pipes. Right now, I don't know where my Job Description would fall, but somebody told me here that I should check the description for a Mechanical Draftperson which is, a bit similar. My course was Computer Science btw which makes my case not very common.

Anyway I just find my case similar to yours and just looking any options (if there is) Good luck on your application btw.

Good morning sir @barryco Ask kolang po bim manager po kayo sa architect side or contractor side..salamat po sa advice nyo apply for 312111. However since main contractor side po ako na bim modeller..im afraid magkakaproblem po kasi ang descritpion ni 312111 ay “architectural draftperson”.. more on contractor na archi field draftperson po kasi ako.. wish to request advice from you po

Hi. Yes, bali ung last 2 companies ko I held 3 positions, may BIM sa title lahat, pero sa previous 3 companies before that, as architect and designer na may BIM works rin. Vetassess accepted them all to fall under Architectural Draftsperson. I think basta may description about producing technical drawings, models, and estimates pasok siya as "Draftsperson", mamili ka na lang kung saan talaga focus mo, archi, civil, mechanical, pero siyempre dapat nasa description din kung mostly civil ginagawa mo or archi, etc.

Unfortunately for now, NSW lang ang open for Architectural Draftsperson for offshore applicants.

Neither architect nor contractor. I work as a BIM Manager for a BIM and VDC consulting company - it's actually a tech company na focus sa AEC industry, bali clients namin contractors, architects, and engineers.

I think you have to focus on what you actually do, not with the nature of you company, they will not be scrutinized by Vetassess, mas concern nila kung anong sinasabi ng COE mo.

i agree. prepare mo yung COE mo to highlight the things that are directly related so occupation that you want to have yourself assessed. ikaw na gumawa lahat, pa-sign mo na lang sa current and past employers para less hassle for them and also, wala ka ma-miss out sa mga required items na dapat nasa COE.

ang sinubmit ko lang per employer: certificate of employment and payslips.. meron akong isang company hindi nagbigay ng proper format ng certificate of employment kaya nag attach ako ng statutory declaration with ex-colleague. tapos meron naman ako isang employer sa pinas na malabo yung payslips kaya nag attach ako ng print out ng SSS Contribution. accepted naman lahat hindi na ako nag submit ng galing IRAS dito.

yung sa overtime hours naman, they might count it if it is reflected sa certificate of employment mo. eto taken from my statutory declaration form, pero ganito din yung format ng certificate of employment ko.

Thank you mam @..arki_ .. pano po yung sa isang employer,for example, more on site supervision sha, i dont need COE pa po dahil di nmn draftsman ang nature ng work? Kasi 2yrs din yun,, di kaya magtaka si vetassess? Tapos for partner po may certain number of yrs ba na ma stipulate na eligible as de facto?
