Hi, I do not want to bring your hopes down but accountant and auditor occupations require high points for your EOI to be selected. If you don't have high points then you may want to explore other options 'coz there are LOTS of EOIs in queue for accountant/auditors.

Normally, CPAA takes 10 working days to assess but there could be delays due to Covid-19 restrictions and note that CPAA Office is in Melbourne, VIC and we are in stage 4 lock down here in Melbourne until 13-September.

Please see screenshot
Ano pong ginawa nyo?
According to CPA Australia, comparable nman daw ung degree ko sa AU Bachelor Degree, however kinulang ako ng isang subject which is Financial Accounting and Reporting.

You will need to enrol into that subject. Your our one letter should state is to go about doing it.

Hindi daw inacknolwedge ng CPA ung experience dahil it was prior the recognition ng bachelor degree and CPA took the date na nacomplete ung mga mandatory subjects. So parang useless kase babaksak din nman sa Skills Assesment. > Or maki-credit padin po ung work experience ko as they will consider ung actual date na nakuha ko ung Bachelor Degree which was in 2003 and I have about 10yrs work exp after that. Mejo tricky kaya nag iingat po ako. Do you have any experience of this kind?

Hi! Yeah I've applied for 186 DE and granted. Mas mabuti kung 186 ung apply mo kc walang points system at kung willing naman ung employer mo to sponsor basta may 3 years work experience ka at eligible ung employer to nominate at ok naman ung papers mo.

Hi sis, this is very uplifting. But how did your firm go about proving they can't find a suitable candidate who is a resident/citizen? Please share us some info.

Nag advertise sila para ma prove din saka kelangan ma prove mo din as nominee na may qualification at work experience ka. Mas mabilis ang process kesa through points system.

Hingi po sana ako ng advise sa inyo if anong better options for me and some of the things I need to do.
Option 1: Apply for Independent skill visa
MBA, CPA po ako and have 5 years experience as Financial Analyst at almost 9 years experience as Univeristy Faculty.
Mas better po ba to apply as University Lecturer or Tutor than Accounting General for me?
Option 2: Apply through Nomination
Option 3: Student Visa Pathway
Hindi din po kami mayaman so finances would be struggle on my part under this stream.
Ano po mapapayo โnyo sa akin? I have been working for almost 10 years na pero wala pa rin akong nakikitang brighter side dito sa Pinas for my family. Im willing to take all the risks para po makapunta sa Australia.

Hi everyone! Hope all has been doing well. My husband and I are looking into bumping up our current points through partner skills assessment. In line, I was hoping to ask if there's anyone here who have tried applying for any suitable migration skill assessment for "Bank Credit Risk Analyst" experience? We are currently exploring the occupation list and we are drawn into the "General Accountant" 221111 ANZCODE. But we are not sure if this is indeed suitable for his experience or there are other more occupations we haven't explored yet. He has 4 year bachelor degree (Management Economics) in a recognized University and a 2 year MBA from the same university.
Thanks in advance for any insight, tip or advice you can share to us!

Hi everyone!
Hope all of you are doing well and safe during these times. I have recently lodged my EOI (offshore) last August 6, 2020, My partner and I currently have 85 points for subclass 189 and 90 points for subclass 190 (Victoria) with nominated occupation of Engineering Technologist. Because of tough competition, we are more optimistic for the subclass 190 pathway.
Age = 30 pts (currently 32y)
Superior english = 20 pts
Overseas skilled employment experience = 10 pts (6y 1 mo)
Education in PH only = 15 pts
NAATI CCL = 5 pts
Partner competent English = 5 pts
However, due to the current pandemic and most recent Federal budget announcements, we are already managing our expectations that we might not have any progress at all within F.Y. 2020-2021
(or until July 2021). This is sad because I will turn 33y on September 2021 and will be losing 5 points. To prepare, we hope to boost our points in any way we can so we are exploring the partner skills.
What are our chances to have my partner's skill assessed by CPAA if he will nominate his self as general accountant 221111 with education of 4y A.B. Management Economics (Ateneo), 2y MBA (Ateneo).
"-were under 45 years old
-had competent English
-had nominated a skilled occupation that is on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated skilled occupation
-had a suitable skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for their nominated skilled occupation, and the assessment wasnโt for a Subclass 485 visa."
Any clarification / insights or thoughts po from anyone who have experience acquiring assessment from CPAA would be very helpful and is greatly appreciated po. Thank you po in advance and God bless!

If the course studies he undertook was management economics, he wonโt meet the mandatory subjects required by CPAA. Hence, it wonโt be successful.

Hi Ms @RheaMARN1171933! Thanksso much po for responding to our query, much appreciated po. Follow up question po sana ma'am, regarding po sa degree comparability as per photo attached:
"The degree requirement for the provisional assessment (subclass 485 visa), requires that you have an Australian bachelorโs degree or 12-unit masterโs degree in accounting, business, commerce or economics."
Then, upon reviewing the courses he took during his AB Management Economics and MBA, may mga subjects po siya na kapareho nung competency areas na requirements ng CPAA for general accountant as per attached photo.
Dapat po ba actual bachelor's degree ang ka title nung mga competency areas na nabanggt under general accountant or pwede na po kahit subjects taken? Thanks in advance po for any insight!

The degree isnโt the problem, itโs the mandatory subjects. If heโs done economics, most likely he hasnโt done all the mandatory subjects. The requirements are a degree (of any course) AND mandatory subjects completed. The absence of one wouldnโt be successful. Read the guidelines, itโs all there. All the best.

Hi po! Newbie here. I am a CPA, 10 years experience going 33 on Aug which also means i will be losing 5pts.. hehe. Hanggang 90pts lang po maximum na kaya ko. . Or if 491 is not feasible, ano course po pwede kung student visa? Salamat po.

Hello, sana may makatulong. Nalilito po kasi ako. If nag paassess po ba as "general accountant" sa CPAA. then positive naman po ung assessment. Ang next step ba nun is dapat mag diretso ka as CPA?

It's your choice kung itutuloy mo maging Australian CPA. It's not really required. But some employers prefer those with Australian Certification or Equivalent Certification when it comes to hiring someone. ung PH CPA kasi hindi sya fully accredited

you are in migration process. once you got positive assessment that's all you need for now. One step at a time. Just pursue CPAA or other qualification once you are here in Australia. Some employers pay it. sayang din ang $1,200 per subject.

EMPLOYER TESTIMONIAL
For employment claims to be recognised for skilled employment, you must provide a signed testimonial from your employer that includes:
Ang kaso lang, hindi po ganyan ung standard na COE na nirerelease nila (ung standard nila eh yung nakalagay lang ung recent position nung umalis ka tas kelan ka employed dun). So nanghihingi po sila ng template sana na pwede nila gamitin na guide para ma-include lahat ng details na yan. Thank you po sa makakasagot!

Because itโs not COE that is being asked, itโs employment reference letter. COE only confirms your employment and not the duties you have done. There is no template, you just need to follow what exactly it says on what you have mentioned above. All the best.
