Pero, yung experience mo is more like an advantage.
Also, your experience cannot put you at the same position (most of the time) when you apply in AU. Kahit nasa supervisory na ang position mo off-shore with tons of experience, it does not mean madali ka na makakauha ng supervisory position sa AU. Most likely, masmababa position ibibigay sayo with an average salary relative to the position given.

Hi Mga Kabayan and Fellow Civil Engineer, I am new in this forum. I got concern a lot of question regarding migration/working to Australia.
I am a licensed Civil Engineer in PH. PH experience: - Four (4) years’ experience as a Site Engineer in Building Projects in PH, Singapore Experience: -1 (one) Year as Project Engineer and Three (3) Years as QS Total of 8 Years Working experience. I am planning to take Visa 189 or 190, currently am drafting my CDR but am doubted what should I Write in my Career Episodes.
• Am drafting my Career EP 1 regarding my thesis manuscript during my student time. This thesis was about research on how to strengthen the concrete using the steel waste fiber generated from lathes machines. So there’s an involvement of calculation, concrete analysis, etc. and social and environmental contribution.
• Career Episode 2&3- On progress drafting but It's more in Site operation and completion of Building project.
I got a concern that hoping you could help me as follows:
1. Is my 3 years’ experience as QS can recognize as related working experience for the nominated skill occupation I wish to apply for?
2. I read the MSA booklet Clause 2.5.2 stated, “career episode is an account of your engineering education and/or work experience”. That’s why I drafted my career ep 1 during my engineering Educ. Is my Career Episode 1 drafting being strong enough? Or I should focus on 4 years of working experience as a civil Engineer?
3. If using a point calculator, I could have 75 Pts for 189 while 80 Pts for 190. What type I should select 189 or 190. Or any other visa you can advise?
4. I’m also exploring maybe select the visa 491 I could have 90Pts. Understand this is not PR. Any concern or disadvantage of this visa?
5. Gusto ko n kc po I process ng rush para atleast mkpunta nako sa Australia at mkawork. If hindi po ako successfully n ma invite sa 189 OR 190 baka don muna ako sa 491. Any thoughts on this?
Hope you guys can answer all my question. Thanks in advance!

Hi fellow engineers! Basically civil in general ang experience ko, so applying for 233211 - Civil Engineer. But I have different roles like project management, project execution, proposal/bidding, quantity surveying, site engineer, etc, all of those are part of my job as CE. Im just confused kasi yung sa ANZSCO may separate na quantity surveyor, construction project manager, civil engineer, etc. Planning to put my experience as bid project manager sa career episode ko. Would that be okay?

You based it on the nominated occupation. If you think you’re better suited as Construction Project Manager then you need to go via VETASSESS. It’s all about what you do for work and how it matches the Anzsco definition of tasks.

Based sa australian immigration website, for Construction Project Managers, ang authority is VETASSESS tama po ba? Nag pa assess na po kayo? Thanks

Hi I was a QA/QC before but not in tunnel and boring just industrial plant (mining, cement, LNG components) fabrication/construction coz I'm kinda interested tho.
But, will there be any chance for us to just apply a work while not there in Oz?
I mean, not to go thru first with the assessments and PR but only for a work permit visa, will it be possible? TIA

its possible but slim chance, to be honest. its applicable when the role is really difficult to fill with local jobseekers.
i suggest, you may look for work and apply for visa at the same time.

I've been reading the past few days about the visa options, still undecided which one to take so nag book na lang muna ng IELTS General (tama po ba?) since yan talaga step 1. For my experience as a PM, looks like VETASSESS talaga ang authority. Should I signup and get my documents for VETASSESS simultaneous sa review for IELTS? Parang matagal din kasi processing from one phase to another based sa mga nabasa ko in this forum. Nasa abroad din kasi ako so baka lang medyo mahirap mag request ng mga docs sa Pinas. Also, nag r refuse or nag r reject po ba ang VETASSESS? Thank you!
