    @vhoythoy - Congrats!! buti ka pa, assessment na ang sunod! san ka pala magpassess. kakatapos lang ng exam ko kahapon. I think ok naman ung listening, reading and writing. aabot naman ata ako sa 7 sa estimate ko. problema ko ang speaking, nagkandabulol bulol ako during the interview. Sana at least maka flat 7 din ako. hehe

    Ako din nagkamali yata ako sa mga grammar during speaking hehe. pero importante dun diretso lang, walang dead air. Gamit ka ng mga complex words, like ako mga audit terms or words ok naman.

    Sa vetassess ako magpaassess, pero magsubmit plang ng documents ready na din naman.

    Nsa 65-70 na yata ang points ko dahil jan sa 10 points ng IELTS =)

    @gacoquia mahirap pero kakayanin. aim ko din ang 8, pero I made sure na pasok pa rin ang points ko kahit maka7 ako(i got 8 in all except writing). practice is the key. I really had difficulty getting a good score in speaking subtest. ang ginawa ko I allotted 1 hour practice per day.ivideo mo sarili mo while answering questions tapos iview mo with a friend or trainor or watch sample ielts interviews with scores in youtube. somehow, you can guess how well you did. tapos sa writing, aside from your usual review class exercises( if you are enrolled) get good topics in the net and practice writing(always time your self).1 article per day is okay( depends on how much time you have). I hope kahit paano makatulong. and pray before you practice. I think this is my secret formula. hehe God bless!

    tips ko sa writing dapat may structure na agad kayo in mind. Para mabilis, kasi sakto lang 1 oras para pasok2 nalang ng pasok ng ideas. Tapos isip kayo isang magandang idioms isingit nyo lang haha =) Ako feeling ko walang sense essay ko pero nka 7 pa din hahaha

    My best advise is practice, practice, practice...

    Take lots of mock exams and from there make a self-assessment of where is your weakness.

    Work on that weakness and practice again! :)

    ano po ba accent ng speakers sa listening part? british accent ba o american accent? how about sa speaking part? pag foreigner ang examiner... ano usually ang nationality nila?

    based on experience sa work ko, hirap ako intindihin pag australian ang kausap ko. parang kinakain nila salita nila. hindi malinaw mag pronounce ng words, o baka tenga ko lang may diperensya hehehe... yung mga european people naman are the best, they pronounced their words clearly like they are passionate in speaking. i like harry potter movies pero bakit yung twilight diko masyado maintindihan ang mga salita nila. depende yata sa speakers. o tenga ko lang talaga may diperensya hahaha...

    Im just a newbie in this forum and medyo confuse ako on what type of IELTS ang ititake ko either Academic ba or General. Wala kasing agent na tumutulong saken right now. All I know is that I need to take IELTS dahil sa sinabi saken ng tito ko na nasa Australia na ngaun. I am planning to migrate and work there as a Web Developer. So basically, IT inclined yun balak kong pasukan na work dun. Ano po bang type of IELTS ang dapat ko itake?

    thanks sa mga replies re cambridge reviewers. ang mostly na nakikita ko sa google are for writing and reading. meron din ba kayong na-download na interactive? may mga practice listening exercises, etc.?

    Halos 1 week lang ako nagreview using cambridge 6-8 mostly listening at reading lang. Writing at speaking naman nag iisip nlang ako habang nakasakay sa MRT kung paano ko iaattack. Happy na talaga ako sa 7 kasi di naman ako ganun kagaling sa english lol

    To improve your vocabulary (without going through the stress of reading boring books), you may consider listening to audiobooks. Pastime ko yan habang nag-ccommute...I personally listened through George RR Martin's ASOIAF...dami kang mapupulot dun...at yung accent din! hehe

    Hi guys,

    Im just a newbie in this forum and medyo confuse ako on what type of IELTS ang ititake ko either Academic ba or General. Wala kasing agent na tumutulong saken right now. All I know is that I need to take IELTS dahil sa sinabi saken ng tito ko na nasa Australia na ngaun. I am planning to migrate and work there as a Web Developer. So basically, IT inclined yun balak kong pasukan na work dun. Ano po bang type of IELTS ang dapat ko itake?
    it seems confused ka sa whole process..
    1. if you have not done your Australian Computer Society- ACS assessment
    2. you don't need your IELTS yet, for the ACS assessment
    3. So my point, concentrate first on your ACS assessment..before IELTS

    Sep 3, 2012 - Visa Granted (IED Jun 11, 2013) Thank You Lord!
    Oct 16-28, 2012 - Initial Entry Completed - Sydney
    July 28, 2013 - Final move to Perth
    Sep 9, 2013 - Started work with the same company i worked for in UAE/USA
    Oct 28, 2013 - Moved to another company.. ;)

    yes. confused po tlga ako. Sinabihan kasi ako ng tito ko na nasa AU ngayon na nakausap nya na yun kaibigan nyang attorney from the immigration and sinabi na pakuhain na daw ako ng IELTS. Kaya eto ako, mejo ngarag sa ngayon.

    Question, if maging okay po ba yun result ng ACS assessment, no need to take the IELTS?
