QS / Estimator in PH, nagskills assessment thru Vetassess ng Civil Eng'g Technician
I decided na magVetassess kasi:
1.0 baka ndi ma-approve sa EA kung QS role ( i read cases na narefuse sila kasi)
2.0 sa AIQS naman, nabasa ko that time na requirement eh graduate ka ng QS (not sure kung nagbago man na ito)
Drawback ng Vetassess sa akin, may bawas sila ng N year/s sa experience ko. (learning curve daw). Ndi ko lang nakuha yung max points for job experience pero positive outcome ang nakuha ko..
For Item 2.0, it is requirement PERO pwede din ang ALLIED DISCIPLINE. And dito sa allied discipline papasok ang mga civil engineers and architects. As per AIQS Skilled Migration Assessment Policy:-
"Allied Discipline shall mean Architecture, Building and Engineering Economics, Cost Engineering, Construction Management or similar discipline."
Basically, the Building and Engineering Economics, Cost Engineering & Construction Management fall under our BSCE degree kaya pasok ang civil engineering as allied discipline.
As long as you have a strong QS relevant working experience and most important is employment references from an approved supervisor. This approved supervisor should have a QS degree or a member of a well known QS organisation i.e. AIQS, RICS, PICQS (local), SISV (Singapore), and a lot more.
Mostly fail to provide evidence of their approved supervision.
Tanong po, paano kung Corporate Member ka ng AIQS pero wala kang supervisor na member ng AIQS or other org?
It is best that you have your migration assessment with EA. Medyo matrabaho lang but you have a better chance of getting a favourable assessment. If you can't provide evidence of approved supervision, you will surely fail your assessment.

In my case, I have 8yrs relevant working experience prior to my migration assessment. However, I was only awarded 3yrs of it since I had only worked under 'approved supervision' for 3 yrs.
Dun sa 3yrs na yon, isa lang supervisor ko non. Hindi na ko nag-submit pa ng ibang reference letter for the remaining 5yrs since my supervisors during those times does not meet the criteria of 'approved supervisors'

Yes 3yrs lang. 65pts lang inabot pero during that time (2016) madali pa makakuha ng invite.
