Pwede mo naman subukan kasi you can be invited to apply for a skilled immigrant visa as long as you are under 45. I think your chances of being invited at this point are highly dependent on your nominated occupation. For example, kung IT or accountant sa tingin ko malabo nang mainvite kasi sobrang competitive ng occupations na yan. Pero kung occupations na high demand & bihira ang applicants like welder or panelbeater sa tingin ko malaki ang chance mainvite.
Ang kailangan mo iconsider is that for skilled immigrant visas generally pataasan ito ng points and mababa na yung points mo for age once you hit 40. However, if high demand yung profession mo then may chance ka pa naman mainvite if you can find a state that sponsors your occupation. Very competitive na ngayon ang skilled immigrant visas.
Tignan mo rin kung makakahanap ka ng employer who can sponsor you for a 494 visa kasi may pathway yan to PR. You may want to look into the regions na may DAMA agreements kasi AFAIK yan yung regional areas with employers who are looking for workers https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/employing-and-sponsoring-someone/sponsoring-workers/nominating-a-position/labour-agreements/designated-area-migration-agreements
