edited February 2013 in Migration Agent
Hi everyone,

Since this is our first time to apply for visa, me and my boyfriend decided to go to a migration agency. We went to Global Migration for assessment, but before we proceed with the process we're going to attend to a free seminar for Respall. I would like to ask po which one is cheaper and better for a migration agency?

Thank you very much in advance.

Don't look at cost alone ...when agents issue proposals, ibibigay nila yung services offered sa contract...Dun po kayo magkumpara...It's already given that all agents will milk the money out of you so check their services, especially the post migration offerings :)

@wynx thank you.. well, we honestly dont know the what the procedures are... since we're both working we prefer na sana someone will guide and remind us on what to do.. Pero yes tama ka.. its not necessary sana, but can you give me some advice on what to do.. where should we pass our documents.. etc..?
@LokiJr Thank you also.. Actually ang services naman na inoofer ng Global Migration samin are of course full guidance ng pag process ng papers, documents that we need to complete, pag schedule ng IELTS and reviewer, yung mga format ng COE & CTC of docs na requirements ng DIAC.. I think its the same, just like any other agencies. Global Migration also advise us na we better get married para madeclare na dependent ako at good as one nalang ang visa namin pati yung mga fees in case na maapprove yung visa namin.. Also I'm not sure kung tama yung pag kakaintindi ko last time na nag usap kame.. kailangan ba namin mag show money? if yes, is it individually and any idea how much? kasi sabi ng agency hindi na daw pag dumaan sa agency.. But medyo nag ddoubt ako... Thank you guys for helping me out. Sorry andami kong tanong.. :)

i don't really want to always say this coz its basically stating the obvious but you can begin by googling australia immigration. it should direct you to their immigration website - konting basa lang! yan ang ginagawa ng mga kuripot katulad ko... ehehehe!!

pero seriously, getting an immigration agent is like paying someone (more than 100k at least) to summarize to you the steps on what to do. at the end of the day, ikaw pa rin mag secure ng documents mo, magbayad ng fees mo at mag take ng IELTS mo... :)

@darthiyz to begin with, ano ang profession mo at ng boyfren mo? cnu sa inyo ang magiging primary applicant at sino ang magiging secondary or you are planning to apply separately.

from there, malalaman mo kung anong assessing authority ang gagawa ng assessment for your skill if your are qualified for migration.

hanggang dyan muna para hindi ka malito.

@darthiyz this forum is as good as migration agent... first hand experiences pa, need to read infos lang & raise your queries and for sure madaming willing sumagot & give advice. :)

@cchamyl i agree. Pareha lang tayo walang kwenta din yong agency na nilapitan namin nuon as in para lang kaming nagbigay ng pera sa kanila tapos wala silang nagawa. Di kasi natuloy yong pagkuha ko ng mga docs kasi nasunogan kami that time. Hay...basa at tyaga lang kailangan talaga. ^^

I agree with the comments above.. Yung neighbor namin dati, diniscourage ako mag-agent kase at the end of the day, ako pa rin daw ang magccomplete ng lahat ng requirements. Para lang daw akong may taga-pasa if ever. hehehehe Kaya ayun basa lang ng basa sa DIAC web page and dito sa pinoyau. :) Bsta ni-prioritize ko agad IELTS tska ACS then the rest mas madali na dapat. ;)

Dapat do your research rin. So net net..if siguro may tyaga, do it on your own. Dami naman success stories na on their own.

Sa respall, you are dealing with the tao of mr.respall..hindi siya mismo.

I am blessed nakita ko itong forum. I am about to submit my docs to respall for assessment and now knowing the cost i opted to apply online na lang. But this is my dilemma, ang hirap iassess properly yung status namin since sa skill nomination pa lang sumasabit na hehe. For example, my husband is currently a military pilot for 22 years therefore the skill for nomination is PILOT, at hindi kasama sa independent skilled visa, papasok under skilled sponsored visa-- therefore ipaassess mo sa CASA and need ng pilot license under australian standard mismo na pupunta ka muna doon to take the exam and get a certificate and so on so forth.. naisip ko lang ang kumuha ng agency to keep me on the right track.

This very well explains why one should think twice before getting the services of a migration agent.

“Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don’t. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it.”

Ako, just to give a different opinion, found the services of a Migration Agent very convenient and secure. Yung agent namin was efficient and deliberate in reviewing our documents. Our agent was also very proactive. Siya pa ang nagbalita sa amin na may invite na (nakalimutan ko actually) and very prompt in providing updates.

Siguro, nasa agent rin yun. Parang CO lang in a way, I guess. Kung gaano kaayos makipag deal. Nilibre pa niya lahat ng CTC stamps namin. at to follow na lang yung last part ng professional fee. Na waive rin nya yung consultation fee namin at the beginning.

So far, we're very satisfied with the service. Worth it para sa amin ng partner ko yung fee kasi halos wala kaming ginawa, after less than 6 months, waiting for CO na kami.

Like what I have said on the other thread I would go for an update for 2 scenarios

    1. If I've got money to burn
    2. If my case was not clear

other than that mag research research nga lang dont worry google will help you :)

    Just my two cents
