Hello, couple with 2 boys here. Just got our state-sponsored visa granted and we'll be heading to Adelaide on Dec. We're cutting it close to initial entry date of 7th Jan.

just saying hello and we hope to see more of the established PinoyAu community in Adelaide when we get there. It will be our first time in Australia! Hopefully, we see you around town and get to say hello. Cheers!

P.S. just thought to throw this out there. If anyone knows any accommodations suitable for us, we'd love to hear from you. We don't know if we'll be able to rent a permanent place right away. So maybe 4-6 weeks at $250/week or more. Maraming salamat!

Arrived last Saturday, 15 June 2013 from Singapore en route to Melbourne then finally at Adelaide. Hassle-free immigration processing at Melbourne thru Adelaide. Pero hassle ang lamig dito sa Adelaide ... still in the process of acclimatizing to the freaking cold weather ...

In the range of 5-15 deg celcius ang temperature ngayon dito. Yung 5 deg usually sa gabi while yung 15 deg naman during the day ... kung galing sa tropical weather the best ang bubble jacket para magaan sa katawan then maglayering ka na lang beneath it ... fleece jacket also works as well ... mahal ang kuryente daw dito as per my landlord kaya di gumagamit ng heater kaya kahit nasa loob ng haus naka-ugg shoes, fleece then PJs ...

Hi Guys!

Singit ko lang - may mababakante po na room sa house ng landlady namin. Room is fully furnished with queen sized bed, bedside tables, study desk, dresser, heater and built-in wardrobe. Linens and quilt are also provided.House is located 15-20 mins away from CBD by bus. Bus stop is located just outside the house. Landlady is Filipina and is very friendly & accommodating. @Santi - If you're aiming for Northern suburbs: Northfield, Clearview and Enfield. 8KM away from CBD. May primary school, chemist warehouse, IGA&Coles na malapit. Less than 5 min drive din to GPs/dentist and if catholic ka, meron 3 catholic churches along Hampstead Road, Clearview at Northeast Road. Best of all, nagkalat ang Asian groceries sa northern suburbs. Mas makakatipid ka if dun ka bibili ng grocery items/meat. Kung gusto mo ng mas malapit sa city (5km away) - Prospect, Collinswood and Walkerville. If tama rinig ko sa officemates ko, nasa top performing school ang Walkerville Primary school – so you may want to consider that din. You don’t really need to live in Walkerville, as long as pasok yung suburb sa zone – pede dun mag-aral kids mo.

Thanks, was just asking pero malayo pa naman kami sa process. Kaka start lang. When i visited my in laws sa melbourne nagustuhan ko kasi yung suburb nila, very near sa schools, aldi, woolworths and coles walking distance lang.
