    Guys for 189 visa, did you take the medical even before a CO was assigned to you?
    we took it before the CO made himself known to us...

    @ipink yes you can do that as long as you already have lodged eVisa and TRN. But remeber that your IED will depend on date of your medical or police clearance which ever comes comes first.

    @ipink regardless of visa type, pwede na magpamedical as soon as mag appear na yong Organize health link sa eVisa.. :) & usually yong link, andon na yon kaagad pag sinumulan mo nang i-upload yong docs..

    @ipink regardless of visa type, pwede na magpamedical as soon as mag appear na yong Organize health link sa eVisa.. :) & usually yong link, andon na yon kaagad pag sinumulan mo nang i-upload yong docs..
    Sir, gusto ko lang po e clarify to kasi po baka ma-mislead yong iba.

    Hindi po lahat ng visa subclass/type ay required mag-medical yong applicant. For example, sa 457 visa (employer sponsored visa), merong mga applicants na hindi na pina-medical, especially po yong mga nabibilang sa Low Risk Country, e.g. UK, USA, etc. Check http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration/eta-eligible-passports.htm for list of low risk countries.

    But specifically for Filipinos applying for 457, since Pinas is under High Risk Country, required ang medical examination. But depende sa industry or occupation if required ng complete medical examination (complete = standard of AU Immigration) or chest x-ray lang. Sa mga nasa medical field, need talaga ang complete medical examination. But sa iba na field, hindi required ang complete medical exam. For example po, nasa Digital Marketing po ako, chest x-ray lang ang requirement po sakin. Depende rin eto sa Case Officer nyo po if ano ang required na medical exam.

    In sum, 457 visa lang po ang alam ko na pwede hindi ka magpa-medical kaya po it is advised na wag muna magpa-medical if hindi sinabi ng Case Officer.
