Salamat Ms @sheryl0126 for ur advise. And tama po kayu, patience, patience, practice, prayers... from SG dn pla kayu, kamusta po Adelaide vs SG? Based on experience, how much po pinaka murang accomodation there?
I'm from SG din, stayed there for 9 years as PR. Mejo culture shock for me kasi masyadong backward ang ADL.
But then..depende sa kung anong gusto mong buhay. On the positive side, mas friendly ang mga Aussie compared sa Singaporeans.

Hello everyone!!.Finally arrived in adelaide 3 days ago..Grabe ang ginaw pero un heat of the sun naman eh nanunuot sa balat..Masaya nmn un first 3 days. . Una, nakakanose bleed sila kausap at nagtuturuan kami ni hubs ko kng sino magtatanong between the two of us
Second, just to familiarize ourselves with the public transpo, sumakay kami ng bus at kelangan pala ivalidate ticket, same goes with the train hehe. Sa train naman, since wala kami metro card eh hindi namin makita bilihan ng ticket so muntik na kami di makalabas railway station hehe..
Third, hindi pa nagtatapos yun sa train. We had an encounter na isang native aussie ata na nakahigh sa drugs so nagaamok cya sa loob until obe of the passengers pressed the emergency stop para ilabas cya ng train..tas binugbog..nakakaawa..
And today we found St. Francis Cathedral Thanked God for a bringing us here safely. Hopefuly makahanap ng work soon kaso medyo matumal hiring ng MedTech..
Sana we'll be able to meet some of the guys here in pinoyinfo..
God bless to all of us!

hmmm sa field natin so far wala pa, kasi wala din masyado pa inoopen na jobs, meron man iopen na technical officer sa SA Health mostly related to food and water analysis pa. so depende siguro sa kung ano specialization mo. saka nakakainip din magintay kasi pansin ko ang tagal nila bago magshortlist after ng closing date. in short, waiting and hoping pa din kami til now kelan pala dating mo dito sa SA?
Hi. I am a new migrant as well. Arrived last June, I want to meet up you guys sana para dumami yung kakilala ko sa Adelaide. Tuwing kailan kayo nagkikita? i would like to meet you guys. Thank you
I'm also interested for potential headhunters here kung meron. Currently, I'm looking for a job in media/advertising, graphic designer ako. 2 months is really tough, ilang applications na nasend ko kahit isang walang call back pa. Hi Siri, I'm sure you will find a job. I learned that its best to follow up and call them a week after the closing date of the application. Ask if they have received your resume. Just ask nicely, they may even suggest what particular of skill they are looking for and you probably you haven't noted that in your CV.
Always go for quality cover letter and resume over quantity. Make sure its trimmed to whatever skills they are looking for. Australian CV format maximum 3 pages.

Don't lose hope.. Apply Lang ng apply. Iif I may suggest:
1. Reviewhin mo resume mo, balikan mo at tingnan mo Kung paano mo gagawing impactful. Make sure it's in a STAR (situation, task, action result) format. 2. Don't limit yourself to just one job/role. Aplayan mo kahit na ibang industry, role, or position. Just make sure to focus on your transferable skills, and tailor fit your resume to the position you are applying for. This is just temporary, just to get by until such time na makita mo na un talagang gusto mong trabaho. 3. Go to seek.com, aplayan mo lahat ng headhunters dun. Again, make sure your résumé in in STAR format. Once you have sold yourself to the headhunter, sila na ang maghahanap ng trabaho ng bagay sayo.
This is just an option which you may consider at the moment. I know that as much as possible, we are hoping that we end up doing here what we have been doing back home. Bt we need to keep an open mind. We need to flexible, and practical. Apply Lang ng apply, and maraming dasal. Hope this helps.
@Ren and all the other medtechs in SA. I am a med.tech. too. I was applying sana for a student visa sa Sydney coz I have relatives there and March pa yung exams sa AIMS and hindi ko pa sure kung mapapasa ko yun. I'm thinking at least nasa Aussie na. I just received my AIMS certification (Medical Laboratory Technician). And I just found out that SA still sponsors this occupation. Now I'm really contemplating if I lodge the EOI now and get SA sponsorship. I can get 60 pts by the way if I get the SA nomination.
Ang hirap lang kase is I don't know anyone in SA and we are a family of four. My wife and two kids. Mahirap ba maghanap ng work dyan if ever? I don't care what job I can get initially because mahirap ang walang income.
And one more question: In your experience guys, do they ask for proof of funds?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God bless.

Studying in NSW was once my plan back in 2010 (University Technology Sydney as BS Biomedical Sci). Like you I have relatives there. The only game changer was when I emailed my credentials to the Uni they replied to me by asking a question, "Why study BS again if you are only after the AIMS assessment as Med SCI ?" (I can private messaged you the full email from the university adviser if you want). So I will ask the same question to you?
Why not sit for an AIMS exam instead? (According to my friend who passed the exam 2007, it was hard but with proper preparation its doable.)
SOL as Med Sci advantage is you can get the PR straight away that has Centrelink benefits (like rental assistance) If you migrate here with your kids. Unlike Temporary resident State sponsored Med Lab Tech doesn't have centrelink assistance.
It seems that Med Sci will be in PR SOL list for a while so no need to rush. And you can choose which state to live.
@Ren.. thanks. That helped a LOT in making my decision. I'm just going to study hard for the exams then. More advantages pala if 189 as Medical Scientist. Thank you very much. If I have more questions I'm just gonna ask you here.

Our unit will be available by 4th November. We are hoping na sana sa kapwa pinoy din mapunta dahil alam nating lahat ang hirap makakuha ng rental property pag bagong dating ka dito. We will also be leaving some furnitures like, sofas, dining table, tv, bed and many more para makatulong din para di na kailangan pang bumili ng gamit at ng may mapagsimulan na.
The rental property is a 2 bedroom unit, separate bath and toilet, 1 car lock up garage. Walking distance to train and bus stops. Located in a quiet location w sea views everywhere. It's a nice, neat unit.

hi guys, hi Ms. @Ren, baka mag Adelaide kami starting last week of Nov or early Dec
Also, we earlier booked a flight from Manila to Sydney. Kaya sa Sydney muna kami mag stay for 2-4weeks then saka mag move sa Adelaide.
Via Plane pa rin po ba ang best way to move to Adelaide from Sydney? Or meron po bang recommended courier from Sydney to Adelaide?

Plane pa din ang best way to travel from Syd to ADL, may checkin baggage naman and if you think hinde enough ung checkin then you can add another kgs, hinde ganun ka expensive as long as you add it before you confirm the flight.
Driving would be 16hrs long. Bus hmmm I think 23hrs but I'm not too sure.
As for the accomodation just keep looking here sa forums, lagi may nagppost look at least a months before you arrive.
ngmove din kami from syd to adl, ung ibang damit namin nilagay namin sa 5 box (amounted to 50kg). parang mga $50 ung nbayaran namin which is cheap compared to purchasing extra kilos in the airport.

Qantas and JetStar lang po yung choices from Sydney to Adelaide right?
Saka ippick up po ba yun sa inyo from Sydney, Parang Door to door yung service nila?

Hi there,
Studying in NSW was once my plan back in 2010 (University Technology Sydney as BS Biomedical Sci).
Job availability please refer to http://www.seek.com.au/
Hope that helps.

Kung may kakilala kayo na parating, or Kung kayo ang darating, please get in touch w me;

Qantas and JetStar lang po yung choices from Sydney to Adelaide right?
Saka ippick up po ba yun sa inyo from Sydney, Parang Door to door yung service nila?
