And we are planning na sulitin ang stay namin dito sa pinas and go to Australia by November 6.

^ only concern I have is kapag for some reason eh ma-delay ang flight nyo..

But on the other hand, if meron ka naman valid reason bakit na delay at may proof naman kayo ng intended move date is before ng IED, i believe there shouldn't be any problem. :-)

ito rin naisip ko ... wag namang sana na before kayo umalis e biglang ma delay at walang possibleng flight to au ( which is impossible naman ) paso ang visa nyo

Kung ako sayo para mabawasan ang risk at pag-iisip kung ma delay ba or kung ano mang reason, if possible and kung wala pa kayo plane ticket, why don't you just move the date say 15 to 20 days prior IED para hindi mo na problemahin.

@jvframos - not necessarily sabay sabay with primary...
BUT all should satisfy the entry requirement before the IED...

some other visa grant may condition, example:
    - Dapat mauna mag entry ang Primary, pwde sabay sabay ang lahat
    - pero hindi pwede mauna ang secondary..

^ Personally I wouldn't do that if possible.. Less worry sa akin because you never know and you can not control external factors that may contribute to delayed flights. Better safe than sorry. For me, if you can choose din lang, more buffer days much better.. say 15-20 days compare to less than 5 days. IMHO

puede siguro natin itanong sa DIAC yung case na may confirmed plane ticket ka na before ang IED and for some reason na delay ang flight or hindi ka nakasama sa flight...

2.) Ano ang mga valid reason?
3.) If hindi valid ang reason, void ba ang VISA mo, wala bang parang penalty na lang or grace period etc...

If we have these informations, we can plan ahead with no worries at all.

Baka sis @peach17 pwedeng mag initial entry date kahit 3 days lang muna dun. Gusto kong itry nga sana ung air asia kasi mura pamasahe - from Ph to Malaysia muna then from KL saka mag AU.

I think that would be a good decision just in case may unavoidable circumstances meron pa kayo time mag adjust.

Of course we all wanted to have a smoothly executed plan but some things are not in our hands so better safe especially if may kids, you don't want to contact DIAC if this unforeseen scenarios suddenly came up.

Yes, DIAC can always say that na sufficient ang time na binigay to prepare and I personally would not want to risk na mag laps ang IED but for those na kelangan sagarin ang IED or let's say nag laps na ang IED, wala ba silang consideration or something done para sa mga ganitong cases? Talaga bang void na yung VISA na pinaghirapan natin?

I will check on this further, curious lang ako on what DIAC stands on this cases.

Oo nga naman, sobrang haba na nung almost 1 year or 6mos para sa mga may medical findings. Kasi puede nila sabihin, kung di ka pa pala prepared bakit nagpasa ka na agad ng application in the first place. Tsaka napakalaki at napakarami mo ng na-invest para lang ma-PR sa Au, tapos di ka rin pala "excited" pumunta or better yet i-risk mo na maglapse IED mo for factors out of hand. Shempre tayo mas mahabang preparation at pag-iipon mas ok di ba pero i think wala sila pakialam dun. Hehehe.

I personally don't think DIAC will care. It's not their job to make us comply with the entry requirement.

    1. Hindi naman nila visa ang maaalanganin. A visa is only a visa. It doesn't make us PR. It's the entry that "activates" it. Wala pakialam gobyerno, di ka pa resident nila.
    2. They have way too much on their plate. It's not their loss if one migrant can't enter at a specified time.
    3. A deadline is a deadline. I've learned that dito. They have steadfast rules. Pag sinabi 8am, it's 8am. If you can't make it, you better have a good excuse at hand.

Ang naiisip ko lang valid reason is a life-threatening condition. In which case, they can probably say, you're not medically fit to enter anyway. And have you reapply once medically cleared.

^ my husband and son entered Australia a few days before the deadline (5 days lang ata). I would not recommend it though, bka magkaissue sa delayed flights and all. But yea it's possible :) Ako ung primary applicant, nauna lang ako ng more than 1 month sa knila

Hi @stolich18, Nov 2 na yung flight namin to Sydney. Nov 11 ang IED namin. Okay na yung 9 days na buffer no?
pwede na yan, 10 days lang kami sa IED... kung magkaproblema man, may enough time pa.

Hi guys, i am in dilemma right now.

I can't understand why you were not able to book tickets just because of accommodation concerns; that should not be problem I guess...

Ang malaking problema now is (1) mahal na ang tickets as you much depart no later than 2 months from now and (2) if you can't go by end August, then it is goodbye to the Australian dreams.

    All the best to you!

@Phil_Sing_Au why don't you try to book for a hostel or inn for the meantime. try booking.com to look for hotels with different price range. wag mo compromise young IED nyo otherwise mababalewala lahat ng preparations nyo to reach this far. Hope you can settle everything earlier.
