    Sorry @bbgirl for the visa refusal. :(

    I found a directive re: GTE assessment for visa officers sa DIAC website. http://www.immi.gov.au/gateways/agents/pdf/direction-53-assessing-gte.pdf Baka makatulong for anyone.

    malaking tulong yang na research mo....at times may factor din yong CO na mag take charge sa application though no one could pick his/her own CO.....hopefully yong speech ni Pyne kahapon (minister of education in OZ) na OZ is welcoming more international students sana ay magiging way na ang processing ng mga student visa lalo na sa svp ay magiging madali at mabilis.....hopefully...

    @bbgirl
    @asdfghjklqwerty thanks!

    Hi all before I sleep, nabasa ko na yung documents lahat lahat and na absorb ko na.

    2 reasons why CO does not believe I am a genuine student:

    1. Because I studied for 6 years in college (I explained her I got pregnant and was a working student), she is not convinced that I will not complete my course of study

    2. I am also not satisfied that this course in IT will have a significant benefit to her future.

    O well, hindi na lungkot pero masama na loob ko after reading it. The CO is just doing her job. Nagkamali lang siya talaga ng judgement niya. What can I do? Itutulog ko na lang ito.

    Sad. :(

    hi bbgirl!

    Share ko lang experience ko.
    Visa 572 ako. Nandito na ko sa Sydney.
    I studied finished 2 courses in the Philippines. Graduated early 2000 with a Liberal Arts degree. Then worked; then studied again sa ibang school naman. I studied a Business course nung mga mid-2000s, before I left for AU (under a different Visa subclass). Sandali lang ako sa sa Sydney dati, bumalik din ako Pinas. I worked for a year sa call center, then went back to school kasi may 1 year pa ko sa new course ko. Salamat sa Diyos at naka-graduate ako last 2010. Early this year, I decided I want to go back to AU.
    Meron akong immigration lawyer . Buti na lang at maswerte ako at di ako na-interview.
    Sabi saken nung immi lawyer, mahirap talaga makalusot sa interview. Kailangan kasi i-prove mo na babalik ka sa Philippines, at ang "true" intentions mo sa AU ay mag-aral.
    Advice ko lang, try to consult an immigration lawyer, malay mo mas matulungan ka.
    Good luck and God bless!

    hi.....agree ako kay toeberries na it could be of help to you to consult an immigration lawyer...though it would mean additional expense on your part yet sa opinion ko lang naumpisahan mo na ang journey mo for your fulfillment of your OZ dream ...siguro if you are willing to invest more then go and seek professional help from an immigration expert...these experts may differ in fees yet at the end of it, ang impact ng move na ito sa iyo which will count the most....IMHO...

    Sobrang weird na ng DIAC especially after 2011. -___- You have to prove you're coming back to the Philippines pero may pathways for the Post-Study Work Visa. Noong nagre-research ako nung undergrad ako (09-10), wala pang GTE et al na 'yan. Mas lalo tuloy nakapanghihina ng loob dahil 'yung proposed study ko, totally unrelated sa highest qualification ko rito. Then if bumalik ako, wala namang enough work for nurses, what more kung foreign-trained pa. Bagsak agad sa GTE. GTE gave so much power to visa officers and we're under their mercy. *sigh* Might as well look for opportunities in NZ then...

    Then again, 'yung document na nakita ko may something na nagbigay ng kahit kaunting hope, "Decision makers should allow for reasonable changes to career or study pathways."

    You can the use document in answering the student visa form. Nakalagay riyan ang hinahanap ng mga VO.

    @Mia ..i would agree with you na medyo naging pahirapan na nga ang pagpunta dito sa OZ to study sa previous government...hopefully with the new installed government and with what has been shared yesterday by the minister of education sa speech niya na sisikapin ng new government na maka attract ng marami international students dahil nga ang laki ng decrease ng income nila generated through international students...one of their initial and urgent steps to eb taken into consideration is yong pag extend ng post study visa sa mga nasa tafe (572 visa)....on the other hand, NZ is also good and you can make it as your stepping stone to OZ....marami ako friends dito na mga NZ citizens pero dito sila nagwork sa OZ kasi nga malaki diperensya sa livelihood in NZ comparing to OZ....good luck anyway sis....

    @bbgirl And All salamat po at salamat sa Diyos.

    Ma-share ko lng po, maganda tlga po ung maaga pa lng eh inquire na kayo ng inquire sa diac/co... at least pag nakikipag comunicate kayo, lagi nila maaalala tignan ung case nyo at kung may kailangan eh agad nila masasabi. wag po kayo matatakot.

    With regard naman sa pagkuha ng course, make sure na dun pa lng sa form eh ma express nyo na talagang un ang gusto nyo. Wala sila karapatan questionin ung course kahit di pa related, pero make good justice naman kung bkit un ang kukuin nyo...

    Pero higit po sa lahat, wag natin kalimutan na may tamang oras na sa Diyos, in God's time ika nga... tignan nyo case ko, dapat Sept 22 intake ko, pinamove ko ng Jan 2014 anticipate delay, eh ngayon na grant ng oct 7, parang tinaon lng ni God na marami pa ko pras mag ayos ng sarili at maka pasyal.

    Manalig po tayo, para rin naman sa ikakabuti natin ung binabalak natin.

    @babezerothree do it at your own risk din... ako kasi naisip ko na it wouldn't matter at nag consult ako sa school officer ko... nasa signature ko ung details ng application ko... kahit di mo sabihin sa diac, malalaman nila na nagpalipat ka ng commencement date... ayaw ko kasi kumuha ng extension sa school, it will give diac an impression na ok lng sayo na late na pumasok.. un ang naisip ko..

    @babezerothree if i were u dont mention Co names here... for securit purposes.. who knows nagbabasa din sila at nakikitanong dito. Kahit anong interview panyan, be prepared, think of possible questions and consistent answers. Magpakatotoo ka, make them feel na gusto mo makapag aral sa australia and nothing else...
