@ringo thanks again Sir. Wala yung FULLTIME. Pero sa job offer / contract ng current company ko, may nakalagay 8 hrs per day ang work.Do you think pwede ko din isend tong job contract ko sa ACS as back up doc lang since wala ung word na fulltime sa Standard COE ng current company ko?

A ok, I therefore conclude n cguro hindi ako swerte sa case officer. Hay, I give up.
Newbie here, tanong ko lang po if yung original ba na listed requirements sa first page ng thread is still the same documents needed to be produced?
If not, puwede po bang makakuha ng updated list, maraming salamat po sa mga makakasagot and more power to this forum!!!

I read that IELTS isn't required for ACS skills assessment, pero ang pinagtataka ko lang ay: can you claim points for English kung English instruction certificate from your university ang ibibigay mo for assessment?
Kasi sa ngayon, if I follow the point system, I will need to take IELTS para makakuha ng points in order to get a passing mark kasi pag di ako nag-IELTS, di ako papasa.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Would appreciate it. Thanks!

@quesoboy kung cert from university ang ibibigay mo you cannot claim any points for it. Ang rule for English proficiency is to get at least band 6 for all modules but to get points kailangan ng at least band 7. But if you are planning for state sponsorship may mga states na may required English band/grade.

- Required talga IELTS for English points. - ACS is separate. Dito ka kukuha ng points for Education and experience sa GSM.

May bagong rules or procedures si ACS regarding dyan. I think this 2013 lang nag simula. Dapat my corresponding number of work experience ka para ma access nila academic mo. Please refer to link below.

Bachelor Degree or higher - ICT Major - NOT closely related to the nominated occupation - 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in past work history. (Baka lang naman)
If this is indeed what happen to you Sir/Mam @natnor, what was left on your work experience is the years for your Skill assessment? Let's say you got 6 years work experience then your assessment is what I mentioned above (sample only), so you have 2 yrs Skill experience nalang.

Hello Sirs and Ma'ams. As you may see bago lang po ako dito sa forums and also just starting to collect my required documents. I will read as much reference as I can and post some questions here too. Speaking of question... I've had 2 years 8 months experience in a call center as technical support for ISP from 2005 to 2008. Stopped working for 2 and half years. Back to work in 2011 as customer service rep (call center ulet) for 6 months then lumipat ako sa another company. This is time yung position ko is a Network Engineer. From 2011 until October this year kasi I got promoted as a Network Trainer same current company. Kung yung experiences ko from the first call center and sa current company ko yung ilalagay ko will total of 5 years and 2 months, ok na kaya to for the assessment? Especially that my previous experience was in a call center? Thanks in advance!

@Abraham yeah.. got an ICT Major but did not mention in my letter the 'NOT closely related to the nominated occupation'
I suppose it is due to the rule '2 years relevant work experience completed in the last 10 years or 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in past work history'. Had 8 years of work experience the time i applied for ACS assessment therefore I am able to claim 5 points
@iamKikay we have the same hope before... waited to apply this year thinking Ill be able to claim 8 years worth of experience... but ACS rules keeps on changing... from their new rule.. my understanding is that the minimum work experience to be deducted is 2 years

@iamfi they deducted 4 years from my 8 years of work experience to satisfy the new ACS rule as to when a candidate is considered as 'skilled'...
in the assessment letter, ACS will specify the month and year when you can start to count the number of years that you can claim as 'skilled' work experience... for my case, I am able to claim 4 years which is equivalent to 5 points.

Hello, Meron po dito nag papassess for ICT Support Engineer
Hi @natnor... well sana lang nga iconsider nila since lahat naman ng position ko related to each other and within my course outline and pinoproblema ko lang is yung wala sya nakalagay na fulltime but I'm just thinking to apply for review... yung officemate ko lumbas na yung result nya and they consider yung experience nya beyond 10 years which mas fit sa natapos nya na course. it seems that basta related sa course mo yung experience mo ikoconsider nila it doesnt matter if for the past 10 years.

Hi newbie po and I am thinking po to be assessed , I just want to ask po if anyone knows someone na Engineering grad like me ECE but all my experience is with programming na naging successful naman going to australia? Cautious lang po kasi dahil Engr grad then 9 years na Sr. Software engr, though meron din naman programming subjects in college. Any thoughts? Thanks!
@lexxus Engineering grad ako sa Mapua BSECE, ganito nangyari sa akin, nag pa assess ako and after 5 months the result is positive result for code 263111 pero they did not recognize my degree. Narecognize lang yung Microsoft certifications ko as equivalent to ICT Diploma and yung counting ng experience is yung date I passed the Microsoft certification, kaya bawas sa number of years experience. May bayad yung appeal $355 yata yun. Before submitting the appeal todo prayer ako before clicking the submit button.Nilift up ko na lang kay Lord yung maging result, then submitted. After 2 days I got a reply sa appeal ko. They recognized my BSECE in Mapua as a degree major in ICT. Then nirecognize din yung past experiences ko na more than 8 years. So nagpasalamat ako kay Lord for answered prayer na napakabilis. Nasa EOI stage pa lang ako. I hope this helps you. Good luck and God Bless.

Hi IT peeps,
May tanong lang po sana ako, which I also posted in another thread.
If someone had a non-IT (BSc) qualification from college, worked in IT for 5 years right after graduation, then gets an IT(BSc) qualification in Australia, will ACS consider the work experience prior to the IT qualification to meet the required experience for "full suitability"?
Thank you.

Hi. I'm also a newbie and still learning the ropes around here. But my understanding is that if you're planning to nominate an ICT occupation (which I assume you are since you're on this thread), ACS will only consider your work experience which is relevant to your nominated occupation (network engineer or trainee whichever the case may be). So say out of those 5 years, you spent 2 years as a customer support agent for billing, for example, those 2 years won't be counted by ACS.
Take this with a grain of salt though.

Kasi sa ngayon, if I follow the point system, I will need to take IELTS para makakuha ng points in order to get a passing mark kasi pag di ako nag-IELTS, di ako papasa.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Would appreciate it. Thanks!

Ilang points nalang ung sa skills mo?

I suppose it is due to the rule '2 years relevant work experience completed in the last 10 years or 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in past work history'. Had 8 years of work experience the time i applied for ACS assessment therefore I am able to claim 5 points

in the assessment letter, ACS will specify the month and year when you can start to count the number of years that you can claim as 'skilled' work experience... for my case, I am able to claim 4 years which is equivalent to 5 points.

Thank you.
