@jobe - for employer sponsorship, there are three stages, they (DIAC) will validate
- if the employer can really sponsor employees (Sponsorship application of the company)
- if no other person in australia can do the job (Nomination of the employee)
- if your skills matched the requirement of the job... (Visa application)

Hello. I have a relative (1st cousin) who is willing to sponsor me. They are currently living in NSW (Sydney). Nbasa ko sa booklet 6 na the relative should be living in designated areas' tapos nakalagay dun yung postal codes sa NSW except sa (Sydney). Does this mean hindi nila talaga ko pwede isponsor? Hingi lang po ako ng advise baka mali ang understanding ko dito.

@jobe: hello! Relative sponsor po ba gusto niyo or 457 (employer-sponsored)?

I can't speak about relative-sponsor visas, pero medyo may alam ako konti sa 457.

1. Sponsorship of employing organisation
Yung business ng parents mo need to apply to be a sponsor bago ka ma-sponsoran as worker nila. Di naman ako makapag commment about your company, because I am not familiar with your business. May requirement kasi sila na may certain gross annual income in 2 of the last 4 fiscal years. Kaya, ang pansin kong nakakapag sponsor ay mining industries/infrastructure (engineers), the medical industry (nurses, doctors), information tech/ telecommunications (IT etc). Madami sa sponsoring organisations may labour agreement with the government, kaya mabilis ma-process ang visa.

2. Employee nomination
They will then nominate you as prospective employer. Tricky lang sa 457 kasi may income-test at labour-test.
Income-test: you should be earning at least $60k per annum.
Labour-test: dapat walang PR or citizen makakagawa or kayang gawin ang magiging trabaho mo dito. Eto pinakamahirap tingin ko. Need kasi maging specialised talaga ang trabaho para ma-prove na mahirap nga humanap ng worker dito

3. Visa
Kasama na dito ang skills assessment, medical, visa application itself. Iba-iba proceso sa skills assessment eh, depende sa industry. Pero dahil may employer ka na, may gabay ka. Sa kaso ko, skills assessment ko umaandar habang naghihintay ma-prub ang nomination. Kanya-kanyang style yan.

For Visa 489 Relative Sponsorship, dapat nasa SOL ang occupation mo, at dapat nakatira ang sponsor mo sa designated area.

For Visa 489 State Sponsorship, dapat nasa CSOL ang occupation mo.. so kung hindi ka pwede sa Relative sponsorship, mag state sponsorship ka..

Once approved, pareho lang naman ang conditions ng Relative or State Sponsorship..
so kung saan ka pwede, un ang kunin mo..

@lock_code2004 Thanks sir. Nasa CSOL po yung nominated occupation ko. Pero yung cousin ko is living in Sydney which is hindi kasama sa designated area din. Kaya baka di talaga ko pwede sa relative sponsorship. Yung SC 489 SS po ba will consider you as PR like sa SC 190?

@ca_pogi - nope its not a PR visa like visa 190...

as the name suggests, Visa 489 Regional Temporary Visa - is sponsored by the state, pero dapat sa regional ka titira, at temporary lang po ito (valid for 4years)..after living and working for 2 yrs in the regional area, you can apply for a PR visa..

my question, why do want to apply for a visa 489? hindi pa enough ang points mo to apply for visa 190? anu na ba ang estimate EOI points mo?

@lock_code2004 Kasi sir ineexplore ko lang kung ano yung most viable option na pwede kong gawin as regards to my application to OZ. Since mukhang ang relative sponsorship ko ay malabo, mukhang mas okay ang SC 190 sa kin. Estimated pts ko sa EOI is 60 + 5 pts SS approval.

@ca_pogi - un naman pala, if you have 60pts already + 5pts for SS eh pwdeng pwede kana sa VIsa 190 SS..

why would you want apply for visa 489 na regional temporary visa, kung pwede ka pala naman sa visa 190 na Permanent Residence visa..

kulang po ba ang points ni mister (EOI =60pts)?
kung kaya naman po nyang mag-apply as Independent (visa 189) or State Sponsorship (visa 190), therefore hindi na nya kailangan ng relative sponsorship...

This is it! the first step!...

1. Information Security Team Manager po ako sa isang bank dto sa pinas. Mga network security devices po plus Information Security Policies ang hawak ko for 2.5 years pero yung past experience ko po sa Dubai 5years as IT consultant-data center consultancy po ang hawak ko plus a little IT security devices implementations din. Another 5 years as pure IT network security administrator. Pasok po ba ako sa SOL 263111 computer network and systems engineer? or sa ANSCO 262112 ICT Security Specialist?
2. Meron po auntie ang wife ko sa Adelaide willing to sponsor. Can i apply in this path (Relative Sponsored Visa)?

... Next step will have to gather documentations.
